Serena looked between Cormac and Cassiel, confused "what the heck are you two talking about now? Tell who what? It's rude to talk about secret things in the presence of those not privy to the information, you know. Especially one as serious as that!" she argued, her normal self coming back into play, relaxing.

"It's Cormac's place to tell. I just happen to be creepy and know everything." He eyes Cormac. Cormac frowns. "Thanks, Cassiel.." He sighs. "Y'know how I've never mentioned my parents, even in passing this whole time?" he asked, not looking at her.

"Um... yeah... but I didn't mean for you to actually tell me... a change of subject would've sufficed" Serena pointed out. "That said, you don't really have to tell me unless you want to. We've barely known each other a day, that doesn't qualify me for such intimate information about you... But, I'll listen if you want to tell me"

"Meh, not for Cassiel. He's a pest. ..He'd make a better fly then a bat...," he mutters, rolling his eyes. "I resent that. You'd kill me with a fly swatter. Now tell. You know Ang will find a reason to blurt it out." "Meh. Let it come to that. I'll just rip her vocal cords out," he retorted cheerfully. "She deserves it anyway." He shrugged, not wanting to talk about his nightmare. "So don't make me get a fly swatter anyway."

Serena chuckled at the banter I don't think now is a good time to bring up that I want... to return to my own world, it's too cheerful right now, I don't want to make it worse, she thought. Nonetheless: "Hey... Cormac... we need to talk... regarding why I ran away" she said softly, feeling horrible that she'll be the cause of killing the mood.

"You were stressed. It's cool. I would have done the same thing. You also probably wanna go home, and I'll help you if you want." He seems amazingly okay with it, but might be hiding his true feelings. He rests his arms on the wagon, seemingly content. Cassiel stands there, saying nothing. He'd let Cormac handle this his way, unless it started truly hurting Cormac.

Serena gave Cromac a sideways glance he's way too calm for a guy that flipped out after I left... she thought to herself. "Yeah, the sudden change was getting to me. But I can find my own way back, I don't need your help... but I thank you for the offer" she told him, remembering her manners at the last second. The last thing she needed was the object of her affections traveling with her so she could find a way home. If he did, she'd end up not wanting to go home, it was hard enough to choose that path as it was. Face it, despite the dangers of this world... it's safer here than home... why don't you stay? she asked herself. "Either way, I'm actually not all too sure I want to return to my own world. I ran... I left home for a reason. At least if I stay here people will have a harder time finding me" she commented.

Cassiel seems to be pondering something. "Hm," he mutters. Cormac nods. He then eyes Cassiel. "Hm? You're planning. I can see it on your face." Cassiel waves Cormac off. He addresses himself to Serena. "If there were a way to get you home, and also stop whatever caused you to run away, would you do it?"

Serena eyed Cassiel suspiciously "there is no way to stop what caused me to run away" she said darkly. Certainly nothing legal. The only thing that would stop him would be to kill him, and her step-mother, and anyone else that knew them. By then, she'd have a police record and she'd be on the run anyway. This world was definately the safest place.

"There is actually. What is this person afraid of?" He tilted his head, cutely. Cormac stares then facepalms. "Oh, yuck. I dun wanna talk to thaaaat," he whines, sounding like a little kid. He flailed at Cassiel.

Serena looked down and away from both of her companions. Despite Cormac's childish joking, she fell into a sort of depressed state. "I'd rather not talk about him if you don't mind. I'm well rid of him. Belive me... even with all the dangers of this world... I'd rather live here than my world" she responded quietly, fear slightly evident in her voice. I don't even want to think about what would happen if I was caught... if he found me again, she thought to herself.

"You're a wuss, Macy. He's a child. ...An odd one, but a child." "Uh, duh. But how would 'Rice help? His power's pain. Not fear. Guistone would be the best. And he's not scary. Just boring." "Curice Balsa is the only known person who knows where Emmare is. Guistone...well, he knows but is inaccessible. So, he's useless either way. And it think it'd be fun to watch any man be knocked down a few pegs by a small girl." He seemed to not be a fan of his own gender, which is odd.

"Would the both of you please shut up!? I don't care who this person is! I'm not going home and that's final! Can we please move onto more conversation!?!?" Serena snapped. Thought of her father always darkened her mood, here they were talking about possibilities of going home... she couldn't go home. She sighed "look... thanks for your concern, but trust me... this place is heaven compared to what I face in my world"

Cormac nods. "Kay." He glances around silently. He seems to suddenly be wary about something. "Cassiel. Date. Now," he stated, his voice firm. Cassiel stares. "You honestly don't..." He stops. "Oh, dear...," he murmurs, but doesn't tell him the date.

"At least they changed the subject" Serena muttered. She was confused, they were speaking in fragments "so what's going on? Are we in the danger of being injured or something horrible like that? What's so special about today's date?" she asked, resisting the urge to grab Cormac's hand in an attempt to calm them both down. it wouldn't calm either of you down, it'd just complicate the situation. ignore the hand!!! she commanded herself.

Cormac closes his eyes in thought. "Oh...wow. I'm an idiot." He sighs after a moment. "I'm a giant idiot." "Happy birthday, idiot," Cassiel responds cheerfully. "And yeah, Ang's probably gonna burn your house down or something nuts like that. So, yeah. And you're date challenged."

"Well obvious, but he brings it upon himself, he is a hermit, after all. Hermits don't do a very good job at getting dates" Serena commented, fully aware that she was talking about a totally different subject. "But seriously, what's with today?" she asked.

Cormac pouted. "Shush you. And I forgot my own birthday. I fail so much," he grinned though. "Meh. It's not like I'm gonna do anything about it." "Boo. Poor show. You're boring. You should do somethiiiing," he whined.

"He should... but what?" Serena asked, putting a finger to her lips as she eyed Cormac. "Hmm... he needs a girlfriend. Not... That I'm suggesting that I should be said girlfriend... I just said a girlfriend. Maybe he'd remember dates then. This girlfriend will have to be patient, of course, we don't want him being punished because he forgot their anniversary or something... but seriously, he needs a girlfriend" she pointed out.

Cormac snorts. "I'd be maimed so fast. I'd drive any chick insane." He looks amused. "And I'm a space-case. I admit that but I have no reason to celebrate my birthday." Cassiel giggles. "Or guy," he added. "For fuuun! You only get old once, Macy." "I am not bi," he argues pointedly, going slightly red. "The closet is dark and sad. Why don't you step out? We have candy," Cassiel taunts, smiling. He knows Cormac is a major closet case, and that amuses him. He, himself, is bi-curious, so he has no issue teasing Cormac.

Serena raised her eyebrow in amusement. "Well, in the interest of proving you wrong, might I point out that you have to drive me insane. The same can be said for Cassiel for that matter" she pointed out. "Not that I want to date you... 'cause I don't... but you've yet to drive me insane. Annoy me and stress me out a little, yeah, but that's easily fixed and comes with any relationship" she pointed out then realized that she sounded so much like she was in denial. She mentally groaned Argh... why can't I keep my mouth shut!? she argued with herself "hey, I've a great idea. If you're a closet case as Cassiel suggests, then step out and date him. I'm sure he'd loooooove to go out with you. Of course, if you aren't... then find a girl and prove him wrong" she said with a wink, hoping that the semi-change of subject would throw them off her scent.

Cassiel glances at her. "I'm already insane, dear. And he's too deep in the closet." He's ginning though. Cormac flails, going steadily redder. "Neeeh, and who do you sugest I date? You've seeen my choices in girls. And I'd kill Ang." He pouts.

Serena fumbled with her words for a bit, looking slightly like a gaping fish. "A.. wah... um... ah.. a girl you never thought about dating before. Obviously if there's something wrong with the girls you know, then you need to find someone else that you never thought about dating before. Maybe you'd like the change of pace" she responded, her face beginning to turn a bright shade of red.

Cassiel looks amused. "Why don't you two just date already?" His voice is calm, and amused. Cormac bops him. "DOn't you have anyone else to pester?" He groans as Cassiel latches on to his arm cheerfully.

Serena gave an annoyed glare at Cassiel "I'm not all that inclined to be dating someone who I haven't even known a full day" she pointed out. At least reality is taking over and I'm starting to not live in denial... wait... is that a good thing? she asked herself.
