I didn't know hair spray helped it stay on. That's so cool
(Although that's probably because I haven't dyed my hair before XD)

it's not actually dye. it's actually chalk that goes on hair.

Just make sure she gets the hair spray and leave in conditioner spray .
the chalk will rub off EVERYWHERE if you don't. x.x

She's been wanting it for a couple years now. She tried dying it a darker red, but it turned kinda purple because of the other dye that was still in her hair

yeah, you have to either let it fade or bleach it before you die it again.
unless you want to mix colors.

I guess one of my other cousins didn't know that, because she had her hair blonde, dyed it black, then tried to dye it brown, so now she has random streaks of all 3 colors in her hair.
Plus she has a TON of layers, so it just looks kinda like the hairstylist chopped her hair and screwed her color up. That may have been what my cousin was going for though... You never know with her
