Oh! Update on my mom's account: after going through about 4 support people, she finally got her account back. She had to send them as many of her key codes as she still had (surprisingly, a ton), security questions, she scanned them her driver's license...and now all her accounts are back and they can only log on with certain character's names. >.> We're pretty sure it's 'cause it was tied to Aion..

Oh congratulations to your mom! What is the problem with being tied to Aion? Isn't it another MMO?

It's a Korean-based MMO. It's a very grind kinda game, and apparently there's a lot of selling gold and botting that goes on in that game. When I tried searching about the banning, I found a lot of complaints from Aion users about being unjustly banned. So, worst-case scenario is that my mom's account was hacked and was trying to sell gold over on Aion (though she hasn't paid for her Aion account..ever...she did a trial and decided she hated the game...and all her gold was still there..)

I'm working on a paper right now, but am thinking of playing some GW a little later.

How would everyone feel about making an official thread where people could do things like plan ingame get-togethers and all that?

I'd be game for it. What forum would that belong in?

Probably this one, I would think. Maybe asking a mod would be best.

So I was thinking, if anyone wants to help me plan, I've got some ideas for an actual GW thread.

I think we could have something like offsite profiles for everyone who wants one, including character information. And we could post when we have scheduled get togethers. And if someone needs help they could just post in the thread to ask for it. Not really sure what else to put in such a thread.

So it could be more like a Menewsha Nation-style gathering thread? Just keep updated on scheduled get togethers and maybe have a post for quests and missions people request assistance with? And...we could have in game contests or something? 0.o...lol idk 'bout the last one. XD

Aww...it'd be like a little forum guild. ^_^ I like the idea of Character profiles and such, too. That could be kinda cool.

Yeah, we could have contests too! Well I'm not sure about ingame. I don't know how we could keep track of that, unless someone else wanted to. But we could just have thread contests.

I'm thinking I could (or maybe someone with better HTML knowledge) make just a little webpage and everytime someone wanted to put a profile up, it'd be another link on the page.

Hmm...I'm not sure. I personally feel that it would work either way. But if you wanted to see if more people would notice and be willing to join in, you could put it in Nations. And if you'd rather keep it smaller, you could keep it in here.

I'm not really great with HTML, either..but there are webhosting sites that pretty much do it all for you, as long as you don't mind your site being hosted or whatnot. I know bravenet also lets you do HTML, but I've never messed with it. XD You could also keep updates on the front page, too, in case people wanted to check that.

Ya, I don't really know how ingame contests would work. XD It was a thought. But we could indeed do thread contests. Those are always exciting, especially page prizes.

I used to make sites on Geocities, but...well. XD The offsite profile thing was an idea to keep the front page from looking too cluttered, in case we got a lot of people joining in.

Well pretty much a simple webpage that has links for peoples' different game profiles. But I would want them to be fancy looking probably. XD

So each person has their own page? would we have to make each profile?

Whoever wants a page could have one, I was thinking. It could have a little bit about them and have all their characters listed. We could get screenshots of their characters to post.

I think they could just send us the info and we make a little page for them. But I really don't know what good sites are out there for this anymore, since Geocities went under. I haven't been into the webpage making scene for awhile now.

Ok I'll just pick a random free host and see what I can whip up. (and what a free host will let me do)

Oh we haven't made a guild yet. I don't think we'd really gotten together ingame or anything to talk about it. And the only color I had even thought about was a black background.
