Belle got up a little later than normal the next morning and started cooking breakfast like always, humming to herself as she did.

"You're in a good mood this morning," Andy commented as she was lured out by the smell of fresh coffee.

Belle shrugged. "I got a good nights sleep," she said. "Besides, last night was fun."

And just raised an eyebrow.

Belle rolled her eyes. "We sat outside and stargazed for a while," she said. "Jeeze, you're as bad as a male sometimes."

"I didn't say a thing," Andy pointed out. "You come to that conclusion by yourself."

"No, but you gave me this look," Belle pointed out. "You were thinking it and you know it." She grinned and handed over coffee.

"You can't prove it," Andy replied, grinning. She took a sip of her coffee.

"I could if I had a Spock, Saavik, Tuvok, or T'Pol to mind-meld with you," Belle grumble. "But if I had any of them, I'd have a Spock. And not that new Zachary Quinto Spock, either. The original Spock."

"I hate to point this out, but you DID just acquire two psychic bishies," Andy said. "I don't know if they can get in my head, though. I'm not sure."

"That's different," Belle said. "Daemon and Saetan are like Lucivar. If he can speak to you, they probably could, but I don't think I want to test that. Not right now anyway. Besides, a mind-meld is just more awesome. Because it's Leonard Nimoy."

"I know Lucivar could read my mind, if he wanted," Andy said. "But he's mine. I don't know if anyone who isn't mine could do it."

"Yeah, I don't know if that makes a difference either." Belle shrugged. "I suppose we could always ask them, see if it works."

"It's things like that that they never explain to you in Orientation," Andy jokes, grinning. "It seems like it would be kind of important."

"Yeah, really." Belle rolled her eyes. "Stupid Orientation people don't know what they're talking about."

"Agreed," Andy said. "They should set up a kind of older-trainer-mentor program or something."

"Yeah, but not with us," Belle said with a grin. "Because I would not do well with a little newbie."

"I dunno," Andy said, "depending on the newbie's age, I might be able to babysit for a while. Just long enough for them to get on their feet."

"Maybe. Just maybe." Belle shrugged. "If it's someone under fifteen, though, all bets are off."

Andy shrugged.

"I was a certified babysitter," she said. "I can handle anyone under the age of twelve. It's the ones who are thirteen to sixteen who give me problems. And anyone older doesn't need me around."

"Yeah, no, I was never a babysitter. I was a house-sitter, and a pet-sitter, but that's it." Belle shrugged.

"I didn't mind kids," Andy replied.

"I'm better with animals." Belle shrugged. "I don't mind."

"That's your thing, I guess," Andy said. "Either way, you don't need to babysit any newbies, so all is well."

"Exactly." Belle grinned and started washing dishes after collecting them all. "So, you gonna head out again today?"
