"I can see why," Andy said. "Hell, if I were six I'd be going out of my mind."

"Oh, you should have seen that one," Saetan said, nodding to Lucivar. "I had to make one specially for him because he stole that one's--" he pointed to Daemon "--when he was four. Daemon had a fit."

"I did not," Lucivar protested. "He gave it to me, and then tried to take it back."

Andy just bit her lip and tried very hard not to dissolve into hysterics.

"I did not!" Daemon shot back. "I showed it to you and left it in my room, and when I got back it was gone. And you had one."

Belle bit her lower lip, literally shaking with repressed laughter.

"You told me I could see it," Lucivar replied. "It was not my fault you forgot you gave it to me."

Andy was doing her absolute best not to burst out laughing. This was absolute gold.

Daemon opened his mouth to argue more when Saetan interrupted.

"Children," he said, raising his eyebrows at both of them in a fatherly 'we are in public, and you do have an audience' way.

Daemon looked at the two trainers and raised an eyebrow at them. What was so funny? Geeze.

Belle couldn't help it at that look. She started laughing, leaning back against Eclipse, who merely shook his head and plucked the glowing ball from her fingers to examine it himself. He had a different type of magic, but he was sure he could reproduce the result.

Andy couldn't help it, she collapsed onto the bed laughing.

"That was just priceless," she managed to gasp.

Saetan's lips twitched. "Good to know that we amuse you," he said, just a hint of sarcasm in his voice while Daemon just rolled his eyes at the girls.

Belle managed to nod before she hid her face against a pillow, still laughing too hard to speak.

Andy was the first to calm down.

"I never thought I would ever see anything like that," she said. She grinned. "Makes the last seven years of reading those books ALL worth it."

"Oh, definitely." Belle managed to sit up and calm down. "That was just priceless."

Andy sighed happily.

"Life is good," she said.

"Very, very good." Belle sighed happily.

Dejaal looked at them, obviously confused. *Why were they making strange sounds? They sound...* He didn't have a word for it. So he looked at Lucivar to elaborate.

"Insane?" Lucivar supplied. He just shook his head. "No, they're okay."

*This is normal,* Kaelas added. He was used to Andy reacting like that by now.

Dejaal seemed rather suspicious of that. *Normal?*

Kaelas nodded.

*They are amused,* he tried to explain.

*Those are... odd sounds for amusement,* Dejaal offered, looking at the two trainers.

*Humans are odd creatures,* Kaelas replied simply. He stretched out obediently when Andy picked up his brush and started to brush out his coat.

*Indeed they are.* Dejaal jumped up on the bed and settled himself across Belle's legs, letting her scratch behind his ears.

Andy slowly went from brushing Kaelas to just petting him. She was in a great mood now after the spectacle earlier.

Belle kept petting Dejaal, just enjoying the relaxing time. Saetan was amusing himself by making another little witchlight ball, this one fluxuating between the colors of the Jewels.

Andy ended up getting distracted by the witchlight again, and watched it cycle through all the colors.

Saetan smiled a little and handed it over to Andy. "That should hold for a few days at least."

Andy grinned and took it, examining it from different angles.

"This is so cool," she said.

Saetan just smiled and leaned back to let the two play.

Belle watched it cycle through a few times before she returned her attention to Dejaal.

Andy watched it for a few more minutes, and then settled in again with her book. She wanted to read it enough times that she didn't get hysterical over it anymore.
