"Well, looks like plans to go into Ephemera just got pushed back," Andy joked when she saw Belle again. She didn't mind. The cure was more important.

"Eh, it won't take us that long to get there from here," Belle said with a shrug. "I'm not concerned."

"I think this takes precedence, anyways," Andy added. Now that there might actually be a cure for the drug, she was holding out hope for it. She wanted things to go back to normal.

"Yeah." Belle glanced around. "Well, I guess we can go find a room or whatever you want to do, for now. If we're going to be here until morning anyway."

"Sounds like a plan to me," Andy replied.

Belle nodded and went over to the inn. "Room or food first?" she asked, looking over at Andy. The inn was kinda cute and rustic. She liked it already.

"Room first, then food," Andy said. "At least so we'll have somewhere to put our things while we're out."

"True." Belle got them a room and went up the stairs to the room. It was also quaint and rustic, and luckily had no mounted heads on the wall.

"I kind of like this town," Andy admitted as she put her things down. "It's quiet, and not crowded like older cities are."

Belle nodded. "Yeah. You don't find too many towns like this anymore." She let out a pleased sigh as she flopped down on the bed she claimed as hers.

"We may end up staying here fairly often, depending on how often we walk through these territories," Andy said. "I know I used to walk through every year or so."

"Well we're going to Ephemera, then back, so that's at least twice more." Belle shrugged. "Besides, we still have to go to Pern and then possibly over to Dark-Hunter land."

"Speaking of, I may as well start that book so you'll stop nagging me," Andy said. "I'm fairly sure you have the book, right?"

"Yes, I do. I have all the books." Belle grinned and rummaged through her books for a minute before she pulled out the book she wanted and handed it over. "There you go. Have fun."

"This should be good," Andy commented as she opened the book. She flipped back to the last page to check the page number. "It should take six or seven hours all told, give or take... We'll see how long it really takes to read it, around everything else."

"Not to mention how many times you have to stop," Belle said with a grin. "I know there were a couple times I just had to stop to absorb and move on."

"I still need to re-familiarize myself with the rules," Andy said. "That'll force me to slow down on its own. I can't tear through this like my other series."

Belle snickered. "Yeah, it took me a bit to get used to the Black Jewels. Ephemera wasn't as bad, though."

"Psh, I try to absorb those through osmosis," Andy replied. "That's how fast I try to read them, and how well I know the rules there. Though when I finally figure out how to do so, I'll share the love and let you know."

Belle laughed. "That would be much appreciated. It would make reading go much faster."

"No more messing with finicky things like words," Andy joked.

"Exactly! It turns into a super-speed movie reel in your head." Belle grinned.

"That would be awesome," Andy replied, grinning. "Oh that would be such an amazing thing to be able to do."

"Oh, yeah," Belle said with a wistful sigh. "Oh well. For the moment we'll just have to keep reading."

"Which is fine with me," Andy added. "Anyways, you said something about wandering around town?"
