Andy was packed up and ready to go in nearly record time.

"I am more than ready to leave," she replied. "Do you want to walk, or take one of the dragons? One of them is going to be out, anyways."

"Hmm... Well, if they're going to be out anyway, we might as well make it easy for them to stay within three miles," Belle said with a shrug.

"Not to mention you'll be able to tell when we're near Pern area, right?" Thomas teased with a grin.

"That too. But that's not the only reason."

"Then let's get going," Andy said. Almost immediately, all of her group put themselves away except for Temeraire and Sesshoumaru. Andy quickly tied back her hair, to keep it in relatively good condition during the flight, and motioned for Sesshoumaru to turn around. He was much taller than she was, but she still reached up to braid his hair quickly. "I'll brush it for you later," she said as she tied off the braid. Then she turned back to Belle. "Ready to leave when you are."

Belle nodded. Most of hers had gone away as well, but Lucifer had decided to stay out to go flying, and Thomas wanted to go riding with her. So those two headed over to the dragon.

Andy went as well and climbed up Temeraire's harness.

"Alright, where are we going?" she asked Belle as Temeraire gently picked up the egg and shook his wings out a bit to let the harness settle.

Belle shrugged. "Pern area, I guess. See if there's any fire lizard eggs around."

Andy rolled her eyes.

"Which direction?" she clarified. "I have no idea where the Pern territories are, we've never been there."

"Well neither have I but I looked it up last night. It's off that way." Belle pointed in the appropriate direction. "Should take maybe an hour on dragonback."

"Alright," Andy replied. She didn't need to tell Temeraire; the dragon had been listening. Andy held on as he spread his wings and took off, but relaxed and let go of the harness once he'd reached stable flight.

Belle let Thomas cling to her, even though she knew he wasn't scared. Hey, he was amusing, at least.

Once they evened out, though, he let go of her and relaxed.

It was oddly relaxing to be on dragonback, so Andy settled in for the hour's flight. Temeraire wasn't going as fast as he usually did, but he also had the egg clutched in his front claws, so Andy understood.

Belle stayed where she was, just relaxing and watching everything go pass.

She knew when they were getting close because she could see dragons circling around with some fire lizards flitting around. She grinned.

Andy didn't notice the other dragons right away, but she did notice Temeraire's reaction to them.

"Easy, Temmy," she said when he started to growl. It was a low, rumbling growl that Andy knew came from the same place as the Divine Wind. The growling tapered off, albeit reluctantly, and Temeraire held the egg closer to him.

Belle chuckled. "Don't worry," she said to Temmy. "They're very polite dragons. They have their own set of rules, and stealing eggs is about the worst thing you can do, besides killing another dragon. You don't have anything to worry about from them."

She paused for a moment, thinking. "Although you could always just set us down here and I'll go over and see if I can score a couple of fire lizard eggs."

Temeraire nodded a little and made his way down to land in a clearing. He really didn't care what Belle said about the other dragons, he didn't want any of them near his egg and damned if anyone else had an opinion on the matter. Andy just shook her head.

"Belle, don't even bother," she said. "He gets like this, I think it's normal."

"I figured." Belle chuckled and slid down. "Well, the town's pretty close, so I can go there and back pretty quickly if you'd like to wait here. Otherwise you're welcome to come with me."

"I'll stay here with them," Andy replied, gesturing vaguely to Temeraire. "You know, make sure he doesn't pick fights with anyone and all that."

"Probably a good idea. Picking fights here is punishable and very highly frowned upon." Belle shrugged.

"Anyway, I'll be back soon. Probably with a couple fire lizard eggs in tow."

"Have fun," Andy replied, letting Lien out of her ball so the dragon could stretch and move around. Lien immediately went over to Temeraire and took the egg from him, and he backed down and let her. This didn't surprise Andy at all. She knew exactly who wore the pants in that relationship, so to speak.

Belle and Thomas left, going to the nearby town to look for eggs. It took them a while, but when they returned two hours later Belle looked very pleased, carrying a new pack with her.

"I got two," she said, obviously extremely pleased. "No way to know what colors yet, but I got two fire lizard eggs!"

Andy looked up from where she was sitting down and reading. While Belle was gone, Andy had managed to finagle her way into getting Lien to let her sit next to the egg, and so was nestled in between the white dragon's claws and leaning up against the egg. She grinned.

"Good for you," she said. "Seems like things are going to be interesting around here from now on."

"Oh definitely. They said it'll take about a month for the eggs to hatch, and as soon as they do I'll need a lot of meat cut into small little bits." Belle grinned. "But I've got fire lizards!"

"Really, Belle, if you're that excited I'm going to have to calm you down somehow," Thomas said. She was starting to set him off.

Belle grumbled but settled down, sitting down next to Temmy.

"And with the amount of food this one's going to need," here, Andy gestured to the egg behind her, "we may as well just try to find a farm now and hope it's enough."

Belle snorted. "Well that one could eat a whole cow. These two will just eat a side of cow the first two months or two."

"Yeah, just think, between the three of them, that's two cows a day," Andy pointed out teasingly. "I'm thinking we should just find a good spot relatively close to the ocean and just go fishing for a while, at least for my dragons."
