Andy snickered a bit when Belle started ordering Lucifer around, but didn't comment. Getting up, she put her book away and went to start helping with dinner.

Belle glanced over at her to see what amused her but didn't comment, just slicing the chicken she'd managed to get hold of.

"Need any help with anything?" Andy offered. Belle knew by now what Andy was capable of when it came to cooking anything.

"If you want to peel some potatoes for me, that'd be great." Belle grinned briefly. "Mashed potatoes and barbecue chicken."

"On it," Andy replied, sitting down to peel and cut potatoes. She grinned. "I don't remember the last time I had chicken. It sounds amazing."

"Oh, I know. Fish gets old. Chicken and turkey are amazing." Belle grinned. "And beef is the best. Always."

"What I wouldn't give for a proper steak," Andy agreed wistfully. "One of these days, we should make a stop at a steakhouse in one of the cities, just us two." She grinned. "Good steaks are expensive, after all, especially with someone else cooking them for you."

"Well apparently you can get refrigerated or frozen PD capsuls now," Belle said, glancing over at her as she heated a pan and a pot. "So if I get one, we can get and store our own meat for much less money." She grinned. "See? Is brilliant."

"That's kinda neat," Andy replied. She hadn't heard about those, but if they were new, then she wasn't surprised. She hadn't gone into town as often as Belle had. "It would be interesting to see how well it works out."

"Oh yeah. I'm looking forward to getting one and testing it out. It'll be neat, to say the least." Belle grinned and started chopping the potatoes that Andy handed her, putting them in water.

"It's always fun when they make new technology for us to play with," Andy commented. "Which reminds me, my gear was flashing a message at me that there's a new software update and a hardware upgrade that we should get."

"Well, next time we're in a city we can get the hardware upgrade." Belle stirred the potatoes. "I think there's a city pretty close to here, from what the other trainers here told me. It's les than a day's walk away. Although who knows how those two will react to being so close to so many people." She nodded to Temmy and Lien.

"Don't remind me," Andy said. "I think I'm going to minimize the potential disaster and just have one of them out, and even then I'm going to spend as little time in town as physically possible."

"Yeah. Or just stay within three miles of them, since we have that three mile limit now. I think, anyway." Belle paused. "We haven't tested that yet, have we? You know what, I'll test it. Not right now, but later. The symptoms are gradual when you're walking, so I can do it and test how far we can get."

"I'll keep an eye on things around here, then," Andy replied. She almost volunteered to go herself, but she hated putting her group through that, even if she stopped when it just barely got uncomfortable.

Belle nodded. "Okay. Tomorrow at some point I'll test it out, then." Belle let the potatoes cook for a bit longer before she poured out the water off to the side and mashed them very well. "And dinner is almost ready. Just need to finish the chicken."

"Alright," Andy replied. "Want me to gather everyone up?"

"Sure, if you want. Otherwise we'll eat and they'll come over when they're hungry." Belle grinned, getting out plates and putting food on one for herself before handing off another to Andy.

Andy accepted the plate.

"Alright," she said, filling it. Once she had food, she moved off to where some of her group were sitting around talking with some of Belle's. "Dinner's ready, spread the word," she said to them.

Belle was personally in favor of letting them starve and then come whimpering back, but she spread the word among hers too. Although just the smell of food seemed to be attracting them, and it didn't take long for everyone to get food.

Belle settled down between Lucifer and Eclipse. Lucifer had taken a liking to the little eggs, though he wouldn't admit it for the world.

Andy settled herself down next to Sess, as usual. She would have settled in with the dragons again, but Temeraire and Lien were being protective again, so she didn't bother trying.

Belle had plenty of amusement watching everyone else eat and chat, and watching Lucifer check the eggs every now and again. It was kind of cute, actually.

Once everyone was done with dinner, Andy stayed settled in next to Sesshoumaru. She leaned against him when he put an arm around her.

The next morning Belle got up pretty early to get ready to go. She had managed to squeeze her eggs in next to the dragon egg so they'd stay warm all night. She didn't try to get them back just yet, since she figured she'd test the limit first.

So she had Eclipse keep track while she walked, leaving everyone else there. She got about three miles away before she started to feel uncomfortable, and then she turned and hurried back before any of hers could get too upset.

Belle was gone by the time Andy got up, but Andy knew what her friend was up to. Belle group was starting to get a bit edgy, and Andy knew better than to bother them before Belle got back.
