Andy snorted.

"Okay, I've never done anything that crazy on purpose," she said. After a moment, she added, "though I have fallen from dragonback before.

"Yeah, that doesn't sound fun. Falling off things on accident. I think the highest thing I fell off of on accident was that tavern." Belle shrugged.

"And I was only up there because I was looking after someone else's cat, and it got out on top of the tavern and it wasn't supposed to be outside at all so I had to go get it. And then I fell off. But I got the cat back inside."

"Yeah, I fell off and nearly into a lake," Andy replied. "It's just a good thing Temmy's reflexes are so good."

"No kidding." Belle snorted. "Although now he'd have to use a back foot to grab you if you fell."

"Yeah, but I won't fall," Andy replied. "I know better than to go wandering about, now."

"Probably not a good idea in the first place, at least for someone not experienced," Belle said. "Now you probably could walk around, just not too close to the edge."

"Oh I know I can," Andy said. "I can walk all the way up and down Temmy's back now. Back then, though, I had no idea how to really keep my balance."

"It's a lot harder than one would think," Belle agreed with a wry grin. "Of course, I'd never been on a dragon this big before."

"It's a lot harder than one would think," Andy agreed. She grinned. "I think I remember something similar to that being said about train-walking in an episode of FMA."

"Train-walking isn't so bad. I've done that before. And subways, too. Subways are fun." Belle grinned broadly.

Andy shook her head.

"You're insane," she said. "You really are."

Belle just grinned. "Oh, I know. It's so much more fun!"

Eclipse sighed, though he was rather amused too. Belle just grinned at him.

Andy just rolled her eyes, and held on to the harness as Temeraire went down to land in a large, empty clearing. Once he had landed, Andy slid down his side and back to the ground.

Belle idly wondered if Temmy had ever even seen a gryphon before, wondered if that would be an issue, and then shrugged it off. They'd get to that when they got there.

"So, shall we start walking and see what we can find?"

"Sure," Andy replied. She figured she would be able to keep Temmy from going over the top if they ran across anything.

Belle started walking, taking her time and looking around. It took a little while for her to see the first gryphons of the day up close, but then they were pretty close. Three of them flew overhead, a good twenty feet up or so, not going directly over Temmy. Belle just watched them.

Andy grinned when she saw them.

"You know, I bet if you went back up Temmy's harness, you could see them better," she pointed out to Belle. "Go ahead, Temmy won't mind."

Belle gave in after a moment, climbing back up so she could see the gryphons as they circled the area and flew back towards the mountain up ahead. She could see a couple more in the air. Now she was excited.

"I think we're in for some excitement."

"Why do you say that?" Andy asked. She couldn't see anything unusual from the ground, so she would trust what Belle said.

"Because I can see at least a dozen gryphons from here." Belle grinned broadly.

"Oh great," Andy replied. She paused for a second. "What would happen if they got roped into 'catch the fairy?'" she asked. "Not that Kaelas or the dragons would want to let them that close, but still, picture that. Just six or seven of them chasing a fairy."

"Oh god that would be great. Especially since they can do the aerial acrobatics too, so they'd be all over the place, even more so than the cats." Belle snickered.

Andy snickered.

"That would be amazing," she agreed.

Belle grinned broadly.

"Oh man now I want to do that... So one of us needs to get a gryphon."

"I doubt a gryphon would get along with either Kaelas or my dragons," Andy said. "Not right now, at least, not with the dragons the way they are."
