"Very true. They're kind of protective right now. In a couple of months maybe." Belle grinned, eager.

"Sounds like a plan," Andy said. "See anything else from up there? Anything interesting?"

"A big mountain up ahead. Looks like there's a lot of gryphons up there, so we probably don't want to go there just yet. But I think on the other side is supposed to be a big grassy area, and there has to be a lake or something near here for food for all these guys." Belle slid back down.

"I'm sure we'll find something," Andy replied. "There has to be a lake around the area, or a river or something."

"Yeah, like I said," Belle said with a shrug. "Has to be something around to feed everyone. Hell, maybe we could just stay here until the eggs hatch. Seems like we'd be pretty unremarkable here, and there should be plenty of food to feed the hatchlings."

"That's... not a bad idea, actually," Andy replied. She wouldn't mind staying in one place for a while. It would be easier than wandering around until the eggs hatched.

Belle grinned broadly. "Yeah, I thought that would work well. We'll find a good place to stay, good fishing spot maybe. Bet you we can find deer around here too."

"Bet we could," Andy agreed, nodding. "We should find a good spot to settle in, then, at least for a while."

"Sounds good to me. Settle in for a while, get fish and deer and things, wait for the eggs to all hatch..." Belle grinned. "Sounds pretty nice actually."

"I like this plan," Andy replied, nodding. "Where do we want to set up 'home base' then?"

"I say we head over towards the plains, find a nice place near the forest and the lake. That way we'll get lots of food for everyone." Belle shrugged. It made sense to her, anyway.

"Works for me," Andy said. She started to climb back up Temeraire's harness. "Come on, it'll be easier to spot a good place from higher up."

"Alright." Belle and Eclipse both got back up, settling in. Belle stayed close to Temmy's side so she could peer down at the landscape below to find a good place, while Eclipse kept a good hold on her arm so she wouldn't fall off. That would be bad, even if Lucifer did catch her.

Andy kept an eye out as well, although she was more preoccupied with keeping an eye on the gryphons so Temeraire didn't freak out over one getting too close.

The gryphons all steered clear, not wanting to tangle with something quite so huge. Belle grinned and stayed there until she found a good spot for them to land.

"Down there!" she called. "Look good to you?"

The spot she was referring to had a large grassy area very close to the forest with a big lake on the other side.

"Perfect," Andy replied. Quickly, she directed Temeraire to land there.

Belle grinned and, as soon as Temeraire landed, she jumped down to go take a look around. Lucifer landed as well, raising an eyebrow, and she explained quickly. He nodded his ascent and started a fire so he could keep the eggs warm while Belle explored.

Andy slid down as well and let the rest of her group out. Lien immediately settled down next to Temeraire and took the egg from him to look after for a while. Quickly, Andy explained what the plan was, and she got various forms of assent from her group before they started to help with camp.

Belle let the rest of hers out as well, and they all helped set up camp. Belle set up a couple PD rooms for them to use, since that was probably the most comfortable option.

Andy did the same, and then settled down for a little bit with Lien and the egg.

Belle settled down next to Eclipse and Lucifer, checking on her eggs. They still had a ways to go, of course, but at least they were keeping warm.

"It feels kind of weird knowing we're not going to be moving on in a few days," Andy commented after a little while. "I'm not used to it."

"It is odd," Belle agreed. "But I kind of like it. I usually stop and stay in one place for a while every six to eight months. Rest for a while, restock, all that fun stuff." She shrugged.

Andy shook her head.

"I'll stop for maybe a week or so every once in a while, but other than that, it's nice to just wander about for a while."

"Well I think we're going to be stuck here for a little while," Belle said with a grin. "Between feeding all three hatchlings, at least until they don't need quite so much food."
