"What about Tia Dalma?" Andy pointed out to Thomas. He'd been comfortable enough with her for a little while, right?

"True. But that's one woman. And there are, what, half a dozen of us?" Thomas shrugged. Hey, he was fond of the other guys, but there were some things that required a woman present.

Belle hid her cough, highly amused. Hey, they were female, they tended to like the guys more than the girls. Although there were some female bishis she wouldn't mind having.

Andy snorted. Coming from an incubus, that statement could have been taken several ways.

"The only series I follow with any regularity that has more than one or two main female characters is the Realms of the Blood," she replied. She grinned. "And we could go back there, of course, but we've been there recently and there are other places on our list of places to go."

"Let's see..." Belle started going through her mental list. "No females from Leandros books. No females besides Murphy, really, from Dresden land. Blood females, obviously, which could be highly entertaining. I could get one or two from Pern but that may or may not go so well. There are the romance novels, obviously, but then it's a question of whether or not we actually want any of those bishis."

"Our best bet would be heading back to the Blood territory," Andy replied. She grinned. "That really would be highly entertaining. Especially if we trip over a Karla or someone." Her own mental list was similar to Belle's. "There are a few females in Ephemera, but not as many as in the Realms."

"Yeah. Well, we'll see who we can find over there. And I know we've already agreed on this, but once again, no one's getting a Jaenelle." Belle shivered briefly.

"Right," Andy agreed. "Or a Belladonna." Same idea, essentially, just a different name. She looked at Belle, then at the group. "Well, should we get going to the next territory, then?"

"Sure." Belle stretched briefly before she got to her feet again. "Hey, Mouse? You want to walk with us?" She knew the dog was more intelligent than people gave him credit for, and she never wanted to be accused of neglecting any of her bishis.

Mouse considered for a few moments before he made a sort of chuffing noise and went to go knock over Thomas casually. He definitely knew how these things worked, and he was establishing himself in the pack. Because he could.

Belle snickered. "I'll take that as a yes."

Andy snickered as well.

"I'd like to see him try to knock Kaelas over," she commented. "Kaelas has to be twice his size."

"I don't think he'd knock Kaelas over," Belle said musingly. "I mean, he is respectful to others. Just not Thomas, apparently." She couldn't help but grin. "You know, I can almost see them getting along, actually."

Andy paused, pondering that for a moment. She grinned.

"An unholy alliance," she said.

"The terror of everyone and everything that crossed one or the other of them." Belle grinned briefly. "That would be kind of awesome, though. Especially since Kaelas already likes you at least."

Andy grinned.

"We now officially have too many frighteningly intelligent creatures between us," she said. She paused for a moment. "And I have to move Butcher up further on my re-read list now. Bump the series up near Bishop for a while."

Belle snickered. "You have fun with that." She grinned and shook her head. She still had books to go read.

With that, Andy turned back to the current book she was reading. Before all else, she had to finish Bridge of Dreams. Then she could start on something else.

The next few days were quiet as they migrated towards Leandros land. Belle was looking forward to seeing who they'd see there. It would be an interesting few days, at least.

Andy was looking forward to the new territory, as well, but for once, she couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't quite right. Maybe she was just paranoid after everything that had happened recently, but somehow things had been a little too... quiet. Still, she tried to ignore it and enjoy the new area.

Belle picked a spot to make camp and set things up. It would be easy to go bishi hunting from there, which was good.

"You know, we're going to have to figure out who gets who if we come across a Niko and Cal."

"No kidding," Andy replied as she helped set up camp. She grinned. "Hell, technically we have two sets of brothers between us as it is. What's one more?"

Belle snickered. "If we keep this up we'll make a record. All we'd need after Nik and Cal would be Sam and Dean, but you haven't seen enough of that series I don't think."

"No, I'm about ninety-nine percent ignorant there," Andy agreed. She knew bits and pieces about Supernatural, of course, but nowhere near enough to string together into anything coherent.

Belle sighed. "We really need to watch that. We can even skip the first season but for maybe four or five episodes and get straight into the plot stuff."

"Maybe," Andy replied vaguely, glancing around. The territory looked like any other, but she knew better. Things always got interesting where the Leandros brothers were concerned, so she figured this was no different.

Belle snorted when she noticed Andy was distracted and finished setting up camp. "You want to go off looking or not yet?"

"Not yet," Andy replied. She blinked a little and looked back at Belle. "Sorry, just been thinking. Have you noticed how... I dunno... quiet it's been lately?" She wasn't sure if anyone else had noticed it or if it was all in her head, so she was trying to figure it out.
