Andy had her forehead resting on her knees, her eyes closed. She didn't want to move, since she was fairly sure that if she did, she'd hurl everywhere.

"I feel terrible," she murmured. "He didn't take that much blood, did he?"

"No, not that much," Belle muttered. "Not very much at all. Definitely not enough to make us feel like this." She frowned and tried to think past the headache. "I hope we're not getting sick. That would just suck."

Of course, she had a niggling suspicion on the back of her mind that itwas his fault, that he did give them something. But she didn't know and she couldn't prove it.

"Both of us randomly getting sick at the same time, with the same symptoms?" Andy asked. "That's a stretch, even for here. He must have done something, but I don't know what. My head is pounding, and I really don't want to think." She didn't want to lie down, either, since she was pretty sure that the action would make her lose what lunch she had.

"I know." Closing her eyes again, Belle tried to think. "Well, all he's given us is the food. Maybe he spiked it with something?" She winced and pressed her arm over her eyes, the light hurting her head. "Ow. I am going to sic Eclipse on him once we get out."

"We could give him to Temmy and Lien to smush," Andy suggested. She lifted her head a little and opened her eyes, then winced and shut them again. "Or to Lucivar, I know what he can do with Craft." She felt marginally better with her head on her knees, since it literally didn't give her stomach room to complain. "He could have spiked the food with anything... Lucivar's going to be pissed at me until he remembers that I can't checkfor such things like he can."

"Yeah. Human here. Not our fault." Belle winced and curled her knees up to her chest, her eyes still closed as she laid on her side. "What is Lucivar, anyway?" She knew she'd heard of the series, but she'd never read it. She was starting to reconsider.

Ah, wonderful, a topic where she didn't actually have to think. She knew the Black Jewels series in her sleep.

"He's what's called an Eyrien," she replied. "In the books, they're a long-lived race, upwards of like 5000 years or something as a lifespan. The men of the race are typically trained as warriors, and Lucivar is the best there is. Granted, he's only half Eyrien, but it doesn't matter." She snorted a bit. "He's a pain in the ass sometimes, a smartass most of the time, and a fantastic older brother figure when he wants to be."

Belle nodded. "Yeah, that sounds kinda like Lucifer. He's a really damn good warrior, he's full of himself, and I swear he acts like a peacock sometimes. But he can be nice when he feels like it." She chuckled a bit. "I'm just lucky I got him. Some of the other incarnations of Lucifer that I've read about have been rea manipulative bastards."

"Thing is, Lucivar isn't all that full of himself. He's cocky as hell, but he can back it up," Andy replied. As she talked, she was starting to feel better. "I think whatever the food was spiked with is starting to wear off a little..." Experimentally, she lifted her head a bit and opened her eyes slightly. When the light didn't burn her eyes out immediately, she lifted her head a bit more and looked around.

"Yeah." Belle slowly uncurled herself, looking around with a frown. "Now to figure out why he did that and what he gave us. It wasn't any kind of medicine or drug I recognized, and I've got quite a list." Frowning a little more, she pushed herself up so she was sitting up, leaning back against the wall.

"Makes me wish there was a Saetan or a Jaenelle around..." Andy murmured. "I think they know practically every drug and poison in exisitence." She slowly uncurled as well. "I couldn't taste anything funky, but I've also been eating fish and rice for three weeks."

"Oh honey bunch, let us cook for a while after this," Belle said, giving her a sympathetic look. "I swear it's all good, and we'll work around dislikes and allergies and such. But fish and rice for three weeks? Yikes."

"There's a method to my madness, I swear," Andy replied. "I send Temmy or Lien out to fish, and it keeps them busy and fed at the same time. You have no idea how hard it is to keep one dragon fed, let alone two. This way, Temmy gets something to do, and Lien doesn't have to share with anyone." She grimaced. "Though I would probably do a lot for a decent steak..."

"Ah, yes, I see your problem. Hmm. Well, they can always still go fishing, or they could catch a few cows for us." Belle smiled a little at the idea. "We'll figure something out. Once we get out of here." She scowled a little. "Too bad no one's confessed to telepathy."

"Well... bishies from Black Jewels can communicate mind to mind, but it would only work one way for us," Andy replied. "Lucivar would have to contact me, it won't work the other way around, and I think if he could, he would have already, which means that at least he is behind aural shields or something. Kaelas can do it, too, but it's harder for him to contact me. Cat-to-person is complicated, I hear."

"I can imagine," Belle said dryly. "Well, none of mine have confessed to telepathy, so unless they're hiding their abilities..." She shrugged. "I guess we're stuck, unless we come up with an idea on our own."

Andy thought for a little while.

"If we could just get the door open, we might be able to find our bishies and maybe even find a way out of here," she said. "Unfortunately, I slept through the lock-picking lesson in high school."

"Well, we've got two options. I can try to pick the lock or we can wait for him to come back and we can knock him out. I mean, there's two of us and only one of him. We could take him down." Belle rolled her shoulders again, an old habit from whenever she was stressed or felt she needed to move or get away. She glanced over at Andy.

"Hey, how averse are you to violence and/or explosions?"

"That would depend on how close I am to the explosion," Andy replied. "As for the violence... Well, we don't know what else he plans on doing to us, and to our bishies. I saw we get the hell out of here." She had no idea what the food had been spiked with, but she didn't want it to happen again, and she didn't want it to happen to her boys, either.

"Agreed," Belle said, glancing at the door again. "Doesn't look like he has a camera in here, so at least we'll have the element of surprise. He should be coming back with dinner in a few hours, and then we can jump him and knock him out. He'll probably have keys on him, and we might need those, so we can grab those and get out. And the explosion is iffy. We'll see if I need to rig anything."

"Sounds like as good a plan as any," Andy said as she settled against the wall to wait. She sighed.

"I hope my boys are alright," she said after a while. "Sess was acting strange since yesterday, it's not like him to be that way. I hope he's alright..."

"Well, I can't say I'm sure they're alright, but I think they are. I mean, we have a link to all our bishis, right? So I think we'd feel it if one of them was in any major trouble." Belle sighed a bit and shook her head. "Even so, I'll feel much better when I can see them all myself."

"We'd be able to tell if they were hurt, or too far away," Andy agreed, "I know that much. Temmy and Lien got too far away, once. They haven't since. But Sess was acting weird. He doesn't usually go off by himself like he did earlier." She sighed. "Maybe he'll snap out of it later, I don't know."

"Hopefully." Belle sighed and shook her head a little. "I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

Later that evening Belle was seated behind the door, waiting for the scientist to come back, her eyes narrowed. So when the door opened and the scientist entered again, she launched herself at his back, sending them both sprawling to the floor and spilling the food all over. She quickly grabbed one of the two trays he'd brought the food in on and bashed it over his head, watching as his head thunked off the floor and he fell still.

"Impressive," Andy murmured as she fished around for the guy's keys. It didn't take her long to close her fingers around the bunch of keys, and she pulled them free. "Got them." Looking at them, she raised an eyebrow. Every key had a bit of masking tape on it, creating a neatly written label. "Interesting..."
