"I don't get it," Andy said as she ran a couple of general system scans on her gear. "The network is global, and it doesn't have any dead zones, short of underground..." Her gear continued to tell her that the wireless network was unavailable. "This is weird..." She looked over at Seth. "Is yours fritzing too? Maybe it's because ours are just older models."

"No, mine's being weird too," Seth said with a frown, looking down at his gear. "I don't know what's wrong."

Belle grumbled. "We'd better get to a town, get these checked," she said, glaring down at her dex before putting it away.

Andy nodded.

"Something's up if all of us were kicked from the network at the same time..." she mused.

"Yeah, and that's a little worrying," Belle said, frowning. "Come on. Let's get going."

Andy nodded and stood up.

"It won't take long to break down camp, then we can go. We're not all the far from a town, as far as I can remember, so it won't take long to fly back on Temmy and Li Li."

Belle nodded and started working on breading down camp, packing everything up.

Andy did the same, habitually checking her gear every so often and seeing the same message flashing at her.

"This is really unsettling," she murmured. "And it shows how dependant on these things we all are."

"Only for certain things," Belle said reasonably. "Most just maps and such, for me. Well, I guess we'll just have to manage without them for the time being."

"It feels weird being cut off from the network," Andy said. Quickly, she finished cramming the last of her things into her bag. "Alright, I'm ready when you are."

"Let's go before anything else decides to flip out on us." Belle glanced around warily. Something was rubbing her the wrong way about all of this.

"Sounds good," Andy said. She was feeling distinctly unsettled by the whole thing. "Pick a dragon and let's go, I'm thinking civilization sounds really good till we can figure out what's going on."

Belle nodded and went over to Lien, while Seth went over to Temeraire.

Andy and her group went over to Temeraire, but most of them stopped in surprise. Andy turned to look at them.

"Guys?" she asked. Her bishies looked at one another and seemed to come to an unspoken consensus before Lucivar spoke.

"We can't go back into our bish balls," he said. Andy paused.

"What?" she said.

"Shit," Belle muttered, looking at her group. She frowned before clambering up. "Hope you don't mind the extra weight, Lien. Doesn't look like a choice unless we all want to walk."

Seth shrugged. "I'm lucky I only have two," he said, attempting a grin.

"Do not worry about me," Lien replied. Temeraire glanced at Andy, then at Kaelas, and then back to Andy. Andy blinked.

"Oh, I can see this not ending well," she murmured. She thought for a moment. "Alright, how should we do this...? Kaelas, you may have to just hunker down with us until we can get this fixed. Just be careful not to dig your claws under Temmy's scales." Kaelas considered it for a moment before reluctantly nodding. She knew he didn't like heights at all, being a snow cat, for all intents and purposes, so she would make sure he stayed in the middle of the group, furthest away from the sides.

Lucifer smirked as he watched the rest of them climb up on Lien's back. "See you at the finish line," he said cheerily, black bat-like wings spreading from where he normally kept them folded. He got a very rude hand gesture from Thomas and merely snickered.

Belle sighed and shook her head. "Bunch of children, the lot of them," she muttered to Eclipse, who merely chuckled quietly.

Andy didn't even have to give Lucivar the okay; he knew that she assumed he would fly on his own. That's how it always was, and probably how it always would be. Settling onto Temeraire's back next to Kaelas, she waited until the others were settled before giving them the okay to take off. She rubbed one of Kaelas' ears softly, trying to get him to relax a little. His death-grip on Temeraire's harness was tearing the leather.

"Temmy won't let you fall, Kaelas," she murmured softly to him. "You're safe. Besides, you know how to air-walk, I've seen you." Kaelas gave her a look that clearly said he was anything but reassured.

Belle watched Lucifer take off before Lien, and then had to deal with listening to various grumbles and complaints from a few of her boys. Mostly they were quiet, but Thomas was grumbling, more for the sake of grumbling than any actual fear.

Andy noticed that Tia Dalma was staying next to Kaelas in the middle as well, though she didn't blame her. It was bound to be uncomfortable for the goddess. The rest of Andy's group faired much better, having been on such flights before. Sess was very nearly relaxed, and Lawrence was perfectly comfortable. Her Hiei wasn't quite as comfortable, but that was to be expected; he wasn't nearly as sure-footed on a moving dragon as the others.

"You know what you two should do?" Belle said, turning to D'Alerian and Acheron.

"Hm?" Acheron looked at her through his normal sunglasses.

"Go toss Thomas off the side." Belle grinned to show she was only joking, but she got her desired response; Thomas swore at her fluently in a few languages.

"Your two alright?" Andy asked Seth. She thought that his Van Hellsing looked a bit green and more than a bit uneasy, but she was by no means capable of reading his moods like she could her own group.

Seth looked over at his two before he shrugged. "I think they'll be okay once they're back on the ground," he said with a little grin. "Just a little flight nerves."

"Understandable," Andy said. "Not everyone is made for flight."

"Yeah, I know," Seth said. "Well, hopefully we'll find a place soon."

"Well, when we find a town, I need to stay out regardless," Andy said. "I have to stay with my dragons, and most roads aren't big enough for them to walk on without crushing anything."
