Andy glanced around once they got into the territory proper. Something seemed a little... off to her, but she wasn't sure what.

"This isn't the territory," Lucivar said after a moment.

"What do you mean?" Belle looked around too, frowning. "Where are we then?"

Frowning as well, Andy checked her map again.

"I know we followed the map right," she said, "because we're in the middle of the Anne Bishop area..." She enlarged the map to get a better look. "It says we're just inside of the Ephemera territory boundary." She paused when that really sunk in. "Ah hell..."

Belle frowned. "What does that mean?" she asked a tidbit nervously. She hadn't gotten to those books yet.

"Alright, Ephemera 101," Andy said. She thought for a moment. "Long story short, the world is broken, the pieces are called landscapes, landscapes are held together by magic but aren't necessarily right next to each other physically. Follow so far?"

"Yea, so far." Belle nodded a little.

"Alright, books center-ish on one Landscaper named Glorianna Belladonna, she's talented like Jaenelle is talented, and the books are set in her landscapes," Andy continued. "Landscapes are connected by borders, boundaries, and bridges, and the heart decides where the person ends up. Nobody ends up in anyplace that doesn't resonate with them. Still good?"

"Yes." Belle nodded.

"Now if I'm right, and I'm not sure if I am," Andy said, "Then the whole outer edge of this territory is a boundary, and we may or may not be able to get out the same way we got in."

"I've heard stories about this place," Lucivar added. "People can get lost in here for days or weeks if they don't know how things work."

"Lovely." Belle sighed. "You know, if we end up getting separated here, we're officially screwed. And it seems like the more bishis that are out increase the chances of being separated. Unless the bishis are kinda connected to the trainer, which would make sense, with the three-mile limit and all."

"We probably shouldn't risk getting separated," Andy agreed. "I have no idea where we would end up if we accidentally crossed a bridge or something like that."

"Probably no one but the bishis who live here know that," Belle said. "Which is a rather scary thought."

"Yeah, really," Andy said. She called back her bishies, and then grinned. "Remember when I mentioned the name Sebastian a while back, when you said something about having a Daemon and Thomas in the same vicinity? This is where you find a Sebastian."

"Oh boy." Belle couldn't help but grin. "Maybe I'll catch one before we leave. Just to make life that much more interesting."

Andy couldn't help but laugh a bit.

"Get him and a Teaser and you're practically set for life in the pretty men area, after you get that Daemon you want," she said. "Sebastian and Teaser are both incubi."

"...I am so getting them." Belle grinned. She had a thing about incubi. As noted by Thomas.

Andy laughed.

"Why am I not surprised?" she commented. "Alright. Sebastian has black hair and green eyes, Teaser is blonde with blue eyes. At least, according to the books."

"Well if I see one with bright blue hair or something I'll be sure to let you know." Belle grinned.

Andy snickered.

"I wouldn't say that, this close to the Black Jewels territory," she said. "Anything can happen."

"I've seen weirder," Belle said with a shrug.

Andy grinned.

"Imagine a slightly smaller version of Kaelas covered in hot pink and electric blue splotches."

Belle snorted and started laughing. "That is a priceless image."

"That's what happened to KaeAskavi in book eight," Andy said. "KaeAskavi is Kaelas' son."

"Wow. That's going to be fun when I finally get there." Belle shook her head a little.

"It was mentioned more in passing than anything," Andy said, "but it was still fun."
