you know i bet it's not cuz the people in there aren't likely to really know the rules. I know i got a few infractions when I was new and before i knew better.
I love Pride and Prejudice, but unfortunately, I haven't watched the miniseries. Only the more recently made movie. Which I ADORE! :heart: I just like the looks of Matthew Macfayden more than Colin Firth. At least in those particular appearances. I have the miniseries on my external drive, but I haven't taken the time out to watch it. It's long.
Nah, no issues in Fresh Meat really. I actually like welcoming newbies most days. :D We've been getting a lot of interesting new people as of late. I hope they decide to stick around, 'cause we can really use the activity.

You would really like the BBC version me thinks. Colin Firth is not quite as hunky as Matt, but he makes for one amazing Darcy... the chemistry is there for sure. I also love that it is very accurate to the books.

Yeah, he looks all gross at the beginning, but when he starts to fall in love with her, his demeanor totally changes. I love it. He's a good lookin' Darcy. Kiera is whatever though... :lol: But it always makes me cry! T_T :XD
I'll try to get through the miniseries at some point. I know Eroy wanted to watch it too, so maybe this winter we'll have a weekend P&P fest. XD
Seriously, Fresh Meat isn't that bad. There is an occasional "HI I'M CANDIIFAC3 AN I LUV THIS SITE!!!" noob, but most of the time, once you get people talking, they're pretty pleasant. :yes:

I hear ya. I have the places I check in a regular basis too. But I don't post in most of those other places really. Avatar Chat's my home base. I get all around the site though, for the most part.
I know!!! Talk about bad boy aura.... But, I think that he also showed that he was attracted to Elizabeth earlier on in the movie than in the mini series...
I always have to squeeze my pillow and sigh at the end...and at the dance...and that rain scene at the folly... Yah... Love it

I watched pride and prejudice with my best friend who loves jane austen once and she made me rewind on like every romantic seen in that movie i thought it was hilarious.
i don't really remember introducing myself i know i didn't hangout in my fresh meat thread though i went straight to hanging out in a thread with Kat.
I started a Jane Austen club at my college, we watched a movie when we discussed the book that went with it... So much fun.... I went to a few English Country Dances so I could feel like I was in the books/ movies..... XD Soooooo much fun, lemme tell you.
I am not a big fan of Kiera... But I love some of the movies she is in anyways... Love Actually??? Amazing.
