What is the DAC and MAC and how can we use it?

The MAC is the Menewshan Avatar Creator that was created by a user a while back, but is no longer updated and no longer accessible since the DAC is about to be released. Though, it used to have it's own thread in this forum.

The DAC is the Dream Avatar Creator that is part of the site and will be released soon. The link to it is here: Menewsha Avatar Community - Dream Avatar Creator However, it currently is in beta stage and is only allowed to be tested by users who have donated to the site.

Dancr, I don't think that everyone who donates has been able to get into the beta. I think it's a smaller group of users than that. :yes: Until you get access (and I'm not sure how Inso's doing that really), you can use the MAC. I posted the links on the last page I think, but I'll link them on the front of this page as well. :D

Actually (not to contradict you, Sizzla), at the moment anyone who has donated since the port to the new software (so back in Lee's time) should be given access to the DAC beta. It just may take a day or two for it to put you into the correct usergroup or whatever happens.

Insomniac confirmed that everyone who donated will be given access to the beta for the current part of the beta test (I forget which thread he said it in, though). And I know from trying to figure out why a user wasn't in the beta when she said she'd donated that it takes at least one and maybe several days for it to work. xD

So you should be able to get into the beta soon, dancrgurl. xD That's assuming if you donated by Paypal or SMS. If you sent in a mail-in donation it'll take longer. D: (And maybe not be something that will happen at all. I remember Insomniac saying something about people who pay by mail not being part of it, but I can't remember if he was going to have those people added in manually or if they just weren't going to be part of the beta.)

Oh no - you should be able to use it for the entire period of this part of the beta test. xD The two-hour thing, I think, was something Insomniac did site-wide. I guess during a peak hour of the day? I'm really not sure because I'm part of the beta myself so I didn't see the notice.

I still need to come up with something for this. I'm glad I have a few more days because I've been a little distracted lately >>
