I guess whatever theme you want you can find a hotel with it.

You can do anything you want Mai
I'm trying to figure out how to make the threads have different themes but still look connected.
Maybe use the same colors?
Any other ideas?

Well if you call it Las Vagas strip or just Las Vagas, the hotels on the strip would each have different themes and still be connected.

Well, that depends on what feel we want for the event, I guess. And Las Vegas? Weren't we doing it Menewshan-world themed?
And I don't know. O__o;; I don't even know what kind of game it would be. XD Maybe I'll just do Pachinko instead. 8P

Well I'm thinking now we will call it Menewsha strip.
Yeah, but I want a little more connectivity then that since I don't think many people would get it.
We would do colors again like we did this time.
I'm actually the most worried about the outfits.
For example if Mai does a Japan theme and someone else does a pirate theme I want there to be some way for people to tell that we are all working for the event.

And what we call the events in each thread? Like Menewsha Strip Oriental Knife Throwing? Menewsha Strip Priate Man Overboard Game? Like that?

What if we all do a theme based on Menewsha-world animals, like the ones they presented during the Lunar New Year event?
*Mai calls Whalecow*
Maybe not, but it's just an idea. XD

Well, you know how hotels have themes, like Greek palaces and pirates and stuff? I'm not sure how that works with gambling either, but it works. XD

Also would it not be easier to borrow the hotels at the strip for ideas?

Hey Lilith,
Glad you enjoyed hosting your first event!
I must give my thoughts on this though. It's rather odd that you're contemplating a November date. Usually this time period is very busy for people, so participation may be down a lot. Obviously this is right in the middle of event season too for sites, so it's hectic.
My one suggestion would be to hold onto this until next summer. The summer spot remains the best time slot to hold a user-event and get the most activity possible. If you do decide to move it, you have a year of collecting the best prizes you can and getting the best art possible. Yes, it is a year away, but you may not have a very successful event in November.
Just giving you my two cents. :)

Monte Carlo theme seems kick fricken awesome. I really do love the idea and think it'd make a great event. And for once, I'd most likely participate in a user-run event. But I peronsally think that too many consecutive events become such a bore.

@King- I'm still enjoying it. lol
Well we have to have 3 months of planning so that is where November came from. Plus it is inbetween the Halloween and Winters Events.
The reason I thought about having it then and not in the summer is from simply watching these things. If you plan for a year no one wants to commit and you end up not having it. A year is a long time to plan things.
And because I was asked why more of these were not held. Because we are given the option of the summer.
Yes it is a busy time for people but there is always a complaint of it being too slow in here. So I thought a user event might bring people back here.
I'm trying to help the site and the people. And it is the summer right now. And we still have a really low amount of people in the event currently.
It is right in the middle but inless it is the summer it is always right inbetween events.
And about raising the prizes, I simply will not work a year saving for one event.
Look at how much we got in 3 months. If we waited a year it would simply be too much stuff and I would be seriously burnt out on the site.
It may not be successful but then do people have any reason to complain? They are always complaing that there isn't a lot going on and we need more mini events. So if we put this on and no one shows. Then everyone says there was nothing to do in November so we just didn't get on. We get to say there was something. Stop complaining.
If the other hosts don't want to do it I understand. But I will not plan for an event a year from now. In a three months I lost half of my team and had to replace them and had become super crazy. In a year I would most likely loose most of my team several times over and end up quiting the site completely.

Oh yeah. I've been waiting for an idea like this to roll around. I'd even gladly volunteer. But I'm not so sure about the date of it. Just too many events shoved together within a short period of time.
