I was watching Dear John and got thinking about how that movie started out with how John thought of coins at first and then of Savannah. If you were dying, what would be the first and last thing to cross your mind?

First: My faire family's smiling faces. They made my life worth living and they were always there for me. :) They made my life easier and less-complicated to live.

Last: Steven. My boyfriend. Because he means the world to me and I know I mean the world to him. I'm madly in love with him and I would shed a tear for him in my last breath, thinking about him.

Probably nothing fancy. "Oh fuck I'm dying. Hope it doesn't hurt." Probably.

Sorry I'm not all philosophical and stuff.

I don't think anyone can TRUELY answer that question. Because while we may think we know what we're going to be thinking at death, we probably won't be. Only being in that very moment will it be decided. I've seen death and I've heard several people say before then, "I know what I'll be thinking when I die..." but when it happened to them, they sure was thinking other things.

"WAT?"

Hopefully any last words I would come up with would be more poetic than that.

I totally agree with this. I mean, of course, I'd hope I'd be thinking of my family & friends before I die, seeing as how they mean so much to me, but I won't know until I'm almost dead. Which isn't something I'm particularly looking forward to.

This was what I was thinking, more or less.

I came close to dying, and I was thinking "Don't you drop me!" because I'd been in a car accident and had flipped over a guard rail and into a ditch. Laying in the ditch sucked since I was stuck in the car so I was basically screaming curses, telling them to get me out. Once they got me onto the stretcher thing they had to carry me up the embankment, and over the side. And that's when I was thinking I hope they don't drop me. I was going in and out of consciousness by the time they got my into the ambulance. I was thinking then how pissed I was that I was naked since they had to cut off my clothing. Then how the helicopter was so loud. And the first thing I asked in the actual hospital was if my insurance was going to cover everything.

But if it counts for anything cute as they were putting me on the stretcher I told them to grab my cell phone so I could tell my girlfriend what happened. <: They didn't though, but my mom called her.

I came close a few times...not going to explain what happened but all I really wanted was my husband to be there. At the time he was home with his mom, across country. He had no idea what happened until the next day the first time. The second time he was on the phone with me which really freaked him out. The second thing I thought about was who was going to take care of my pets. My family was not very helpful with that and I could not get out of bed much for a few days the first time and the second time I was in bed for nearly two weeks.

Basically what's ever on my mind are my pets and my husband.

I honetsly would more than likely think of nothing. Maybe a sarcastic remark would pop into my head about the situation, but I'd prolly just die without a thought about it. Life's fast and doesn't last that long anyway. >___<

I'd probably be pissed off. I have a lot of rage, both apparent and suppressed and seeing as I'm not really attached to anyone, I'm thinking I'd either be glad it was over or pissed off that it was taking so long.

Wow...I'm the only one here who would think of something like what I said I would think about. But then again, you guys are probably right about, not knowing what you would think of as you're dying. So, I guess I'll just go with all of you guys' answers because they seem the most possible.

Hmm well the first thing that would go through my mind would be wondering if my family would miss me and what would it feel like to be dead. My last words would probably be... "I'm gonna be chillin with Jesus soon....~drops dead~"

Okay, so it's going to sound very strange, but what would go through my mind is my church (meaning all those who go to my church). I adore them all, but I'm very shy so I'm not really able to confess to people things like that. The only people I can easily tell I love are my closest friends and my mother and younger sisters. If I were to die, the last few thoughts would be of the people I love, but was never able to tell.

Well, at least I'd hope my last thoughts would be of those I love. I can't really know for sure. :)

First I would be thinking of something uncool, then I'd think to myself "I need to be thinking of something cool if I'm gonna die," then I die thinking of batman.

Maybe slightly unusual but I would be the person thinking about what to think about when I die and then it would just happen like kaput :)

shit never got to say goodbye to my love ones, like my friends or family

My last thoughts would most likely be about the girl that I have been in love with for three years and how horribly she kicked me to the curb. Nice to know that on my death bed I'll be in a spiraling black pit of depression.
