I'd have to do a lot more reading about the Sabbat and how it works but I think I'd be interested in the idea. I'd also played with the idea of having a pair of Nosferatu; one from the Camarilla and one from the Sabbat. I briefly pondered the idea of a werewolf character as well.

I'd like it if the next pairing weren't quite so lovey-dovey as Cardea and Abbadon are. I'd like a different power dynamic as well.

I'm with you on that, although I'm not certain how I feel about Nosferatu. Sect, for them, doesn't really make a difference. Werewolf would be fun, but I don't actually know anything about their culture and I don't have the resources to find out. I was thinking that the Sabbat characters could be members of the same pack.

Could you elaborate on the idea of the Sabbat characters?

I was thinking that them being pack members, probably fairly high generation, would give them a reason to be interacting. They probably wouldn't be the same clan, if for no other reason than strengthening the pack through diversity. The clans or character types wouldn't be so important because they would have both taken part of the vinculum. I'm just not sure what the story would be.

The only thing I can think of is them terrorizing mortals or attacked Camarilla Kindred..

So, combat. Great. Is that really all the Sabbat do? It seems like it....

There has to be more to the Sabbat than just combat but that's all we've really heard about when it comes to the Sabbat. I'm sure they have political struggles and whatnot.

I know they have political struggles. But that's really just the prerogative of the lower generation Lasombra. The Tzimisce don't really involve themselves... well, at all. They stay in their castles and perform their experiments. All the shovelheads are just cannon fodder for the Camarilla.

We could go with the other ideas we had instead; William x Grace, Grace x Abbadon, William x Cardea.

T_T I really like the Sabbat idea. Maybe the guide to the Sabbat would have some suggestions? There was a section that said that not all stories have to be a violent romp through Camarilla territory, but those can be fun, too.

The problem with those last two is that they would be solo works. Although, it would give us both something to do simultaneously...

Do you think you'd be able to work on the solo piece while at work? I could consider my solo piece as something to work on while you're at work.

And for now we could work on coming up with interesting ideas and possibilities for our myriad of characters. I like that idea in particular.

I don't really think I could work on that at work, unfortunately. I wouldn't have a way to bring it home with me or save it for later. I couldn't post it while out on the floor and I wouldn't be able to save it for later in the break room. And I couldn't bring it with me to each location.

Rats. Oh well.

If you were going to play another Kindred what sort would it be?

It depends. What sect?

Any, any at all.

Sabbat character would probably be fairly monstrous. Either Lasombra or Malkavian antittribu. Nature of monster, probably Path of Night.

Another Camarilla character? Probably Ventrue or Malkavian. A prophetic Malkavian would be fun. I'm not sure what I would do with a Ventrue. I think I may very well be programmed for Brujah. They have social skills, in no small part because of Presence, but they make fantastic warriors, too.

Ventrue could do something similar, I suppose, but they would have a different approach. There's a combination discipline that require Fortitude and Presence to inspire your soldiers with courage but standing up and shrugging off a crippling blow from the enemy. It's also good for demoralizing your opponents.

I'd like to play a ghoul I think. Maybe a character that's a mix of Elisa and Grace.

I'm not sure what we could do with a Ventrue if you were to play one.

I like the idea of playing with ghouls a little more. I do have the Ghoul book now, though. I'm not sure what to do with a Ventrue, either. Probably use the Soldier character archetype.

Soldier. It's just a character concept, though. I have no idea what we would do with it.

I'm frustrated by the fact that any kind of pairing ideas I can come up with include a sexual element. That's not what I want for these new characters especially since we already have that with Abbadon and Cardea or Cardea and Grace.

I think that if we/you went with the soldier concept then any story would have to be combat based.

That's not true, but I can see where you're coming from. I'm an frustrated by our apparent lack of options. I think part of the issue is that, since we're playing by ourselves with no one else and no one's rules to take into consideration, it's too easy for our characters to achieve their goals. I'm not sure what to do about this.

I've been reading about the Toreador and pondering the possibilities there. Also, I'd like to see a story about a recently Embraced Kindred being taught the Traditions and whatnot. Perhaps we could write the Embrace itself too.

I think that would be a fairly compelling story. Have you read the introduction to the revised edition of Clanbook Brujah?
