Yeah we were going to tell you. I think the way he and I decided to do this was for me to play the "child" and him the "mother".

We thought of a name for the Malkavian sire and a little about who she is as a person now. We're still trying to decide how old the adult vampire is and when she's from, and what generation.

What have you decided?

Well I know that the girl was Embraced when she was 8, and her "new Mommy" renamed her Elexa, she has trouble remembering what her name was before or what her life was like. She's about...oh maybe three and a half feet or four feet tall? How tall are average eight year old girls? Also, I'm thinking at least 8 or 10 years have passed since she was Embraced so she's a lot older mentally, which is why she's rebelling. Still working on details and taking suggestions.

I'm not sure that'd be old enough to inspire that kind of rebellious behavior.

Well, we know that her name now is Maggie Goodkind. She is blond and has large, hazel eyes, she was incapable of having children as a mortal or maybe her daughter died...that's still up in the air. She was starting to obsess over children before she was Embraced, and it just got worse when she did. I'm still working out a lot of details.

I didn't think so, but I wasn't sure how old would be old enough. Suggestions?

25-50 years after being Embraced, I'd think.

I could work with 25 years I think. That's make her mentally in her early thirties.

If you have any suggestions about how to flesh out my Malkavian, Scribbles, I am totally open for some character conception help.

My first post of the day! This morning went rather well. My care coordinator visited me. We refiled for Medicaid and Food Stamps. I also talked to her about getting my foot in the door of the therapist. She's coming next week to help me get my birth certificate and a copy of the lease to make copies of for future reference. We talked about a lot of things, and I feel as if we were productive.

Also, I would really like to discuss Elexa (the child monster) a bit further, and bounce ideas back and forth so that I can formulate a better idea for a character and you can help me stay within the reality of the game.

Well, here's MY first post of the day. I don't have anything to add to the recount of our visitor.

However, I have been thinking about Maggie a little bit. It's my understanding that she can have Dominate as one of her powers, so I'd like her to have that. I know Dementation makes more sense, and they can have it, however it is usually associated with the Sabbat as I understand it. I do realize that we were talking about playing or starting out in the Anarch Free State but the way it describes the difference between normal Malkavians and the antittribu I think it would make more sense for her to be (at least formerly) associated with the Camarilla.

If my thinking is wrong or off point there, please let me know. I can adjust accordingly at this point.

Anyway, I think I have at least a starting point for how I see Maggie and how I'd like to present her. *ahem*

Maggie would ideally be from the 1780s, 1880s at the latest. I think she always wanted a child, but wasn't able to get married because her fiance died at sea on the trip over to America. I don't necessarily think the details of her Embrace are important, only that it was during the middle of the customary mourning period after she buried her betrothed.

Fast forward to about 1980 something. Maggie has become convinced that she needs a daughter. She starts watching all the little girls that come to the park every day after school. After a couple weeks, she singles one out. Not sure how she would have managed to get the girl away from her parent(s) but she did.

Maggie knows that no one will stand for her daughter being so young, so she figures out how to keep her looking/acting mortal. She raises her as if she really was her daughter, renames her Elexa and convinces her to call her Mommy. She even goes so far as to home school her at night and act as if they are a normal mother and daughter.

25 year later and Elexa is pretty unhappy with being constantly treated like she's 8 years old. Maggie does things constantly to try to placate her,but it doesn't always work.

Like I said, I'm still banging out the details and we could change as much as you think needs changed. I would really appreciate your input, Scribbles.

Hokay. *boggled mind* Let me sort this out mentally. I will have to double check the dominate because I think there's a reason why all Malkavians have dementation and I think there's something to do with generation when it comes to some Malkavians having dominate and some having dementation.

Also, just because we'd be starting off in the Anarch Free State does not mean you'd be playing a Malkavian antribu. Unless you want to but still we'd have to finaggle that.

Lemme check and see if merits are luck of the draw or if they're something a Kindred can develop. I think they're luck of the draw but I'm not sure.

Well, we were talking about it and all we really had to go on was the one wiki you'd linked us to but we figured that you would know more about these things that either of us did. Which is why we asked. For some reason I think Elexa is going to be harder to make the character sheet for than Maggie.
