Oh, I like that idea. Although I'm not sure giving out a credit card would be best. But something along that idea would be nice. That way only those who fill out said form can get in and access it. It also allows those of us that don't wish to join that forum to avoid it.

I Roleplay because it allows me to shair whats going on in my imagination, and also allows me to see how well a potental story might pan out. I also Roleplay because others are MUCH better at spelling than i am and its a way for me to better my English skills!

I chose Menewsha because Gaia got boring and this place seemed to be a very friendly play to be. Plus Any form sight i go to, i automatically look for the RP section.

PG-13 is a good restriction for younger members, We dont want the children seeing SMUT.

I would most deffinatly be interested in seeing an 18+ section, Sometimes the older members might get bored of having to go someplace else, or just playing the PG-13 rule. weather or not it earns gold doesnt matter to me much, it would be cool if it did but if not then thats ok too.

To make Rp's easer it would be cool to see a "Delet Topic" button that allows the Creator to get rid of the Entire Rp, Specally if it hasent been going Well and no one has been posting. This would help with a Clutter in the Rp form.

Really i havent found a sight that i absolutly loved for Rping. If anything i think having a Chat form with live chat feeds is the best form of RP. That way you get real time Rping. But the only problem with that is keeping what has been said in that specific thred.

Ehummm Inuyashajourney.com has a chat form that is supported by adds and possibly user donations. Plus the chat form is completly made up of a diffrent sight, i think. I dont exactly know how it works, i just know its kinda cool and Unique to the sight :D

Im sure there are those of us over 18 here that dont have credit cards, and im even more sure that there are those of us who wouldnt feel comfortable giving out credit card details just to access a sub-forum.

Profile age verification, checked against the agreeance of a special 'Terms of Service' sort of thing that we have to accept to get in there might be a better method? Specify what conduct is and isnt acceptable in the forum so that it does have some boundaries and things should be kept at a relative sort of level id hope?

i would like to see an 18+ forum that would be sweet.

I think the current PG-13 restriction is fine. I know that I wouldn't use an 18+ section at all for the time being if we had one, but I'm sure there's people who would appreciate it greatly.

Ooo, I'm not sure. It would be nice to be able to delete posts since I do have a brief history of misposting. But if I really need to do get rid of a post, I can just ring a mod and as for the mispost to be deleted.

Yike, a toughie. Someone mentioned an hour long temp gold bonus, and I think that might work well: RP forum frequenters have been asking if we could get a higher max than 20g for long posts, and a temp bonus sounds like a nice compromise. I don't know if you'd want to limit it to just the RP forums or not, though.

The only other site I ever roleplayed on was a petsite, and my roleplaying there lasted for about a week. Since they're a petsite, they have a cash shop for limited edition pets, items, and sometimes even username colors. That... I don't think that would work well for Mene.

~I roleplay to keep my writing skills up to par and also for enjoyment. Plus I just love yaoi and have a bit of an addiction. :P I chose Menewsha for rping because I heard there were yaoi loving folks lurking around.

~I wish we didn't have the restriction, but I definitely understand and respect why it is around. If there was an 18+ section, I would definitely be interested, however I don't think it should be unmoderated - abuse and flamewars, etc can still happen in an 18+ section. I would suggest one or two dedicated moderators who are comfortable in this area who can make sure things run smoothly. 18+ doesn't mean free for all, it means adult levels with an adult amount of respect for each other. I'd still post there even if we couldn't earn gold...but uh...it'd be really nice if we could. Perverts like making money too! :heart:

I don't know. I think it just sounds like a porn site. I don't think someone should post things online. I think if Menewsha were to do that, I might leave. I don't support the 18+ thought.

In the end I suppose it comes down to the preference of the players on if they would want an 18+ section or not. I mean if one was created I don't think that would be a reason to leave. I mean I hate the new sardine game but I'm not going to up and leave a site I enjoy just because they put out a game I dislike, why would that be any different with a new forum section?

One thing that could be done to limit general public interaction would be to create "private" RP threads like they have now but make it where only staff and invited participants could even see the thread to begin with.

1) I roleplay just because I like playing the part of someone else. I don't just RP on Mene, but Gaia, Roliana, Zaff Cast, and all the other avatar sites I'm on. One of the first things I usually do is browse their RP forums to see if there's any RPs I want to join.

2) I'm definitly NOT against an 18+ section, even if it isn't for earning gold. I'm a GM (Game Master) of two RPs on this site, and their both PG-13. I'm all for a mature RP section; just no sex! At least, not written out.

3) Make them easier to find! There's too many roleplays with a good storyline that are ignored because they're too hard for people to find.

4) Not at the moment. I'm just a gal who likes to RP. (I'd actually prefer it if RPs stayed free of real money).

5) I don't really pay attention to the actions the site offers for RPing. I just go there to RP. Other sites I'm on are Gaia, Crysandrea, Subeta, Solia, Zaff Cast, Tinier Me, Varus, Avaricia, and Roliana. The way I've usually found them is through referrals from other people.

Why do you roleplay?

I roleplay because it gives me that relief I need, and it relieves my stress. Also, it gives me an escape from the real world. :D

Why do you choose Menewsha for this?

Because there are wonderful people here to roleplay with. :D Also I mainly roleplay off site though. :S

Tijdon: If it's gold free there is less reason for mods to have to go through it. When you have some more thoughts on the matter please let me know :)

Solia has just about everything a roleplayer needs. Though I notice that Menewsha offers some things that Solia doesn't. Solia also offers more colors to choose from.
I just started roleplaying on Menewsha about a week ago, so I'm quite new to the arena.
Solia also offers the bookmark option which is a lot like the subscription to threads. You can save drafts of whatever your typing and go to the bookmarks page to finish it later if you want.

Well this is just a wild idea so don't take too much stock in it, but if you want an RP incentive why not create a point system that is earned during RP threads, similar to gold but it lets you buy ... no wait it's a bad idea because then all the non-rp players would be bitching about not having it. nevermind. >>

FeyonaSaibre: People tend to still hate it when a thread disappears on them. I'd say a better option is to prefix the threads with open/closed/full/etc... sort of like we do in the exchange.

Gary Stargazer: Basically a RP itrader no? It's definitely something I was already considering. I'd be concerned about offending people, but otherwise I'm not opposed to using something which would help out. Perhaps turn ratings into badges of some sort.

Well yes ... I mean special credits could be used as a bonus for the RP fans. Also this is more of a site wide idea but you know people love their achievements/trophies or what not. You could set up site wide achievements that came with a small gold prize just to encourage growth and activity.

For example ...

1000th post
500th RP post
6 month account activity.

The list could go on and on. Wait i suppose this should go in feed back not here. Xd

The pg-13 restriction works fine with me. If I have a part in a roleplay with 18+ content, I rather work over that part in PM's or just drop that whole scene.
Besides, what is the function of a 18+ district for rps? Do you know how many people will lie about their age, to just cyber about? No, I think this isn't a good idea at all. If people want 18+ content, they need to take it off the public board and into pms.

I roleplay because it helps me broaden my perspective and skills with writing, which is one of my major hobbies. Over time, however, I will certainly admit it has become an addiction. I use many sites, Menewsha included, to do so. Why do I choose it? Well... I don't really know. I do it on basically every site I use at least a little. Though, keeping up is usually simple with the way the user control panel works, in my opinion. ...Usually. If I don't miss something. On occasion, I use RPing for therapeutic reasons, one which is explained below.

It depends in reality with the whole PG-13 thing. I don't personally usually go above that, though sometimes I have said I will because it would therapeutically help me, as certain things that fit in the 18+ category, even though I am 18 and most people near me at my age are already fully able to be comfy with it, I find it completely frightening due to personal problems. By writing it, it can sometimes lead to calming down the fear that really causes problems for me. However... It isn't required, I think, though it might be a good idea all the same just for possibilities sake.

As has been said a couple times already, I don't really see any features in my mind that could make role-playing easier or better. The dice-roll feature can be handy if you need to make a decision and are having a block, but so far I haven't even used that. Similarly, I haven't really used the labeling thing either. Forums alone are pretty much all I need personally, so I don't know. If I ever need anything else, I usually just google it xD

I roleplay on so many sites its ridiculous. I think the main reason I do this is because on every site, you can find different people in the role-play forum, and that leads to new possibilities, experiences and the like. As for the monetized stuff... I think most sites basically get funds from donations and stuff, for the ones I use, and maybe a couple ads here or there. i don't really know myself, even on the site I work on... ^^;
