"So you have family? I would love to meet them, if they are as charming as you." She smiled sweetly. "Where is your family from? Why did they come here?" James struck her as a rather mysterious man. She had done quite a reckless thing when she decided to run away with him. It was something she knew that her father had not approved of, and that her mother only approved of because of what had transpired between Henrietta and her father recently.

Henrietta let out a slight squeak of fright when the servant appeared from nowhere. Crafty devil, he is, she thought. Her thoughts turned to the question she had asked James as they made their way to the dining room: his family. This made her think of her own, and of how dark things had become recently. She never remembered her father as such a domineering man. Her childhood was one filled with happy memories of learning to ride with him, him helping her with her writing lessons when she was smaller. It was not until she had reached a reasonable marrying age that things had became so dire.

Breaking out of her thoughts as she sat down, she cast a glance at James. She furrowed her brow and stood back up, coming to him. She looked to the man and then to the letter. "What is this that has you so distraught, my Lord?" She gently grabbed the letter out of his hands and opened it. Before she could pull it out of the envelope and read it, the servant gently grabbed it back and placed it on top of the box that accompanied the letter, and handed them back to James.

"My apologies, Miss. For Lord Alexander's eyes only, please." Henrietta raised a brow, looking to James. "What is so urgent?"
