LOL Then if it's okay if they're quick doodles? > w> What would you like them to be of? Or should I just do those arts on my to do list that are for you first? o 3o
Quick doodles are fine~ o uo
Maybe do the chibi headshot of my Uzumaki and of my gaia avi.
And then make the last piece one of Ian's first level aeons, any style! >:3
Oh wow!
I had no idea you were even drawing me anything!
Thank you so much :D <3
As for a style, you can do whatever your heart desires!
I'm truly not that picky - so if you have a style you've been itching to do feel free :)
And feel free to start over!
It's completely up to you :3
Also - as for the avi - Could you draw this one instead?

It's an avi I hope to some day accomplish, so it would be awesome to get some art to go with my quest for it :)
@Emma - I just feel so bad for taking so long on the freebie you asked for. ; w;
Awesome. Thanks for giving me so much freedom~ = w= <3 I'll see what I can do. Hopefully, I can start tomorrow. The avi looks a little difficult, but if I try hard enough, I think I can do it~
@Emma - I've started on your art. I'm sort of afraid of giving a preview though. XD I don't know if it looks okay or not.
o xo I'm thinking it will look better as I continue.
@ktbee - Oh! Thanks! > w< It's nice to know people want to see me finish my art~ = w=
Okay! I've finally finished! > w< Sorry for taking so long. I was having such a tough time in my courses this semester. OTL It was my worst semester ever, with the lowest GPA. I feel so bad. ; x; But I'm so glad it's over! = w= I needed a break.
Here you go. I did two versions--one with a nose and one without. X3
-snugs-
I know how you feel :(
My semester was the same way!
Last semester I had a 3.88 GPA. This semester I'll be lucky I'm even near a 3.0 :( </3
I'll DEFINITELY be glad when this semester is over at the end of the week!
I'm about to go crazyyyy T_T
Yayy! I'm glad you love them! ; w; <3 You're welcome~ > w<
Aw, that sucks! D: I guess my bad luck is getting around? XD
I hope you get at least a 3.0~ ; w; I got a 2.8 this semester. ; 3;
At least my cumulative GPA is okay. It's lowered to a 3.5.
I do! Very much so!
I put it in my quest thread as the head of my post :) <3
Hahaha! Nahhh - I blame my mother :P
She's going to college right now too and is finishing her degree this semester - so I took the same courses as her this semester so I could try and help her get through them - she's acing and I'm failing xD;
Go figure right?
Then again, my instructor for Statistics just hates me so whatevs :P
I think I might end up passing the class, so yay!
I really don't want to have to retake it xD;
Hey - 2.8 isn't that bad!! It's just barely under a 3.0!
And at least it didn't kill you completely :) <333
Me too!!
I'm used to being an A student, so seeing Cs is seriously killing me :gonk:
Aw, shoot! I meant to reply to this!
I'm so happy to see you use it in a thread~ > w<
lol That's so funny! XD I guess she didn't need help? Sounds like you need help from her. XD
Why does your Statistics instructor hate you? D: I hope you pass~ I'm so glad I passed all my classes.
I'd hate to take my capstone course again. OTL
Yeah, but it's the lowest GPA I've ever gotten. ; 3; I prefer to have a 3.0 or higher. ; w;
I thought it would kill me. ; x;
I know! I think this is the first time I've gotten Cs! > 3< I'm used to getting Bs and As.
Well, no - she did need help xD;
She's only acing because I helped her. That's why I know my instructor is failing me. She's a week behind me because her college started later than mine did, so I always kind of new what to expect when it came to her homework. However, my instructor took weeks to grade my homework (the semester ended and I still don't know my grades for half my homework) and so I never got results until after I'd helped her. She got her grades back immediately and she aced her homework, but when I got mine back they were really bad grades even though I used the same formulas. You would think Statistics was universal, but apparently not with my instructor lol
So I know he's failing me, especially because he refuses to give reason as to why my answers were wrong (he just says there's an error with how I did it) and he refuses to give me any guidance or help :3
And the only reason I can think of for him hating me is because he had this fake quiz to show us all how a program worked so we could see how it graded etc., and it was questions like "Why are you taking the class" "Do you like Math" etc.
And of course, I'm not a math person, especially statistics, and I was only taking the course because I need it for my degree and to graduate, so I answered the quiz honestly, and from then on it's been hell lol
I've failed almost every single assignment given :/
Which really brought down my average, even with what little extra credit I managed to do well on T_T;
I even aced my midterm!
But it was program graded, he didn't grade it - and that's honestly the only reason why I think I did so well on it :/
Sooo if I do fail I'll be taking the course through another college :3
I find out on the 24th what my final grades are, so hopefully my final pulls me through!
I know I got at least 77.8 points (or somewhere around there) already because it was graded by the instructor, but the rest of the exam had to be hand graded, so I don't know how many more points I got, but I at least know I passed and that's all that matters :3
Hopefully it's enough for me to pass the class though!
Lol Same - I'm used to getting straight A's - I mean, my GPA last semester was 3.88 :gonk:
Hopefully I can recover from this really bad GPA because I'm pretty sure I got an A, a B, a C, and a D (if it's not an F), not even kidding :gonk:
It's going to kill me completely!
But, I just have to keep telling myself, it's just one semester. I still have 3 years ahead of me. I can bring it up and the worst is over! Hopefully :gonk: :cry:
-repeats it obsessively until I start to maybe believe it- :gonk:
I've never been close to failing any class - not my entire Pre-school through the 12th grade days, nor my first 1-1/2yrs of college :gonk:
Totally freaking me out and totally making me hate this college :gonk:
I've never had a professor fail someone because they were honest about why they were in the class, I've never had an instructor freak out and tell me I shouldn't feel that way and that I should love it and be taking it because I want to not because it's required, and I've never had an instructor just not care about his/her students - it's definitely new territory I wish I hadn't walked into :( </3
Ooh! I see. So the problems you helped her solve gave her a good grade, but when you solved the same problems the same way you got a bad grade. D8 That sounds terrible! So you've gone to him with the problems and he never told you specifically what was wrong? That sounds like a mean instructor. >:C
Aw, surely that fake quiz didn't affect anything. D: I can't imagine an instructor would be that mean! I'm sure your final will help you pass~ ; w;
lol That's not bad at all. XD I'm sure a lot of people would love to have at least a 3.5.
Aw, don't worry. I thought I would get an F and a D, but I got Cs instead. So you'll probably get a C or better~ X3 lol I'm sure you could bring it up either way~
Yeah, I've never been so close either. Oh, actually, there was this one class I withdrawed from because I thought I would get an F if I didn't. XD
What? The instructor freaked out because of the answer you gave on the quiz? I do believe you should always want to try to learn something from each class you are required to take, but that doesn't mean you have to love it. However, doesn't that mean he does care?
Sorry for late response!
Totally thought I responded to this... o.O;
Anywho lol!
Yeah - he said I had errors in everything I did, but didn't specify what those errors were or how to fix them according to his idea of Statistics lol
But my Mom's Statistics instructor said everything was perfect when she did it, and it was the exact same way that I had solved my own problems on my own homework - it was just nuts :/
And I think it did have something to do with it - I mean, why else would I get such low marks when my Mom's instructor gave her such high ones, and we did the homework the same way?
I mean, grant it it was different numbers and different scenarios, but it was still the same basic principle as to solving them - and her formulas were right, but apparently mine were wrong - even though they weren't really lol
He could get away with marking me wrong and failing me because he just said error - he didn't specify what the error was or how to fix it - he didn't give any justification to his marking - he just did it because he could - which sucked lol
The worst part is, I ended that class with an A - how? I have no idea.
He never gave grades for the last half of the course, nor the Final exam. So I'm assuming he passed me after reading my evaluation of the course, which said everything that happened and that I would never recommend him or the course and would suggest everyone to take any class taught by him through another college or another instructor xD;
I'm thinking he read the evaluations before the course ended and passed me before he could get in trouble :P
Lol Yeah - I ended the semester with a 3.63!
Was soo relieved when I saw my grades <3
Legit almost died of shock!
I don't know how it happened, but I'm not saying anything in case it was a mistake! LOL
Lol No - he didn't freak out because he cared, he freaked out because I wasn't a Math major and didn't love Math as much as he did. I wasn't a Math zombie and he thought I should be :P
Plus, if he cared about his students he would explain what they did wrong on the homework versus saying error, error, error :P
And if a student asked a question, he wouldn't say "I can't answer that, give me more detail." and then when you try your best to go into more detail (even though you have no clue how) and say that you don't understand the book, he wouldn't say "Go to this page and read it until you get what the author does and you figure it out."
If he cared, he wouldn't act like that :P
And I agree, you should always try and learn something from the courses you take, but you shouldn't have to lie and say "I LOVE THIS COURSE! I CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE MORE CLASSES LIKE THIS!" when you're only taking it because your degree requires it and you're not good at the subject so you don't like it. You shouldn't have to lie in order to get good grades, ya know?
@Emma - lol That is a pretty late reply. XD *reads over what we were talking about* o 3o
That's weird when instructors don't mark exactly what you did wrong. Or at least some sort of hint. D: Eh, maybe you did something wrong? How badly did you do on most assignments anyway? XD If you got an A at the end, I can't imagine it's just because of what you said on the evaluation. But I suppose it could be possible. I have no idea what it's like to be a college instructor. o xo Are there really people out there who would give grades based on how students feel about the class or subject?
Wow! Good job. XD Way better than me. I'm sure you got what you deserved~
lol That's silly. Maybe it was because you were the only person who said it was required? Though that would be weird. o wo; I can't imagine every person said they were taking it because they wanted to. I mean, Statistics is usually required, right? Did you actually say you hated it or something? XD Maybe that hurt his feelings? o 3o; Whatever, it's just good you got an A in the end.
Yeah, I guess it's true that a instructor would probably help out some more if they cared.
lol I doubt lying in that way would actually get you good grades, just maybe have the teacher be kinder to you? XD At least, I'd like to believe that saying you're taking a course because it's required wouldn't affect your relationship with the instructor. Anywho, sounds like you were okay on the subject to me, if you got an A. Oh well, it's good that it's all over. All's well that end's well, right? :3
@neller - Oh. o wo Why's that?
Btw, loving the hippie look. I feel like making a cute hippie avatar too now~ > w<
Yeahhh - my assignments were failing more often than not lol
That was the problem - he wouldn't tell me what I did wrong so I couldn't improve for the next assignment, and by the time he graded assignments 4 had past and it was too late to try and fix what I was doing wrong - it was just crazy lol
I guess until you go through it you won't really get what I mean :3
I basically said never go take his class and to take it through another college if you need the course for your degree because he refuses to help etc. - administration sees that, not just him. It's a bad reflection on his teaching, and he'd obviously get reprimanded for it. I mean, I had proof of what he was doing - it's not like I was lying or exaggerating lol
And I honestly think he passed me, gave me the grades I deserved, etc. in order to try and save face and be like "Oh, I didn't do that. Here, have an A - pass the class with the grade you should have gotten and don't take another class I take."
I honestly think he just didn't want me to repeat his course lol
Not that I would have anyways - I would have taken it through another college, but not the point :3
Yeah, I mean, I totally deserved the grades I got - I'm not saying I deserved a 2.0 or something - it just came as as shock to me because I thought I was doing so terribly in my other classes, and it didn't help that I wasn't seeing any grades, so I just got really worried and was totally shocked when I got a 3.63 as a final GPA :3
I doubt I was the only person who chose that option - there were only 3 options - Because it's part of my math degree, Because it's a required part of my degree, because I like Math xD;
And yeah - Statistics is required by some degrees, and if it's not the required Math, it's one of the 3 maths that are accepted for online students, so you'll probably end up taking it for one reason or another unless you choose the other math option, which isn't always possible.
And no, I never told him I hated his class, his teaching sucked, etc. - I said that behind his back xD;
Had he asked my opinion, I would have told him straight up his teaching methods sucked and that if he were more helpful instead of constantly saying "Stare at the book until you figure it out. Please ask me if you have any more questions or need any more help!" every time he's asked a question, we might have actually learned more, or at least I would have. Just like I did on the survey review sheet thing.
I have no problem being honest when something is just wrong and should be fixed, if it needs to be said, I'll say it. I mean, I'll be nice about it, but I would have went to the Dean's office with this if I didn't pass the course. :3
And no, I wasn't okay on the subject at all - that's my point. He failed me for every assignment, even if I did the same thing my Mom got a 100 on - that was the problem, and why I think he purposefully failed me. I think he went back through and gave me proper grades after he closed the class and gave me the grade I deserved in the end.
And yeah - I'm beyond glad it's over lol
Never will I take a course through him again - I dread the math course I have to take this coming Fall for a GER :(
It's just not fair that non-math majors have to take more than one math class :/
It just stinks T_T;
And yeah - all that matters in the end is that I got the grade I deserved, it's just annoying because now I don't know what's right and what's wrong because he confused the hell out of me!! T_T;
So glad I'll never have to use Statistics in the real world ;>.>
So you were actually getting Fs and Ds for your assignments? D: What percentage of your grade depended on these assignments?
I suppose an evaluation like that would affect him badly. XD
Yeah, I'm pretty worried when I don't see any grades, too. Usually it turns out fine in the end, though~
lol Maybe the others who were required to take the class said they liked math. XD I'm sort of glad I never took Statistics now. o uo;
Well, I think it's wrong to say someone's teaching is incorrect in college, because technically most people should learn by themselves and the instructor should just demonstrate how to do it. At least, a lot of people have told me that instructors don't need to teach, they just need to lecture. For me, when I take math courses, the easiest way to learn everything is through reading the book. But there are cases when you don't understand the book and it's helpful for someone to clarify what the book is saying. That's when the instructor should step in.
Wow. I just can't believe you could be failing on several assignments in the class and then get an A in the end.
lol I've had to take two Math courses and I'm an English major. But I love Math, so they were both fairly easy for me~ Maybe even easier because I took them during the summer. What Math course will you be taking?
And yeah. I totally understand how that can confuse you. XD It confuses me too.
I honestly have no idea xD;
In the end I passed though, so that's all that matters. I know I did the assignments right, so that's just the annoying part and how I know he was purposefully failing me. Especially because I was fine in the beginning and then all of a sudden it dropped, though I was helping my Mom and she was getting A's using the same formulas, so obviously what I was doing was right lol
LOL Who knowssss - but I wouldn't worry about it at your college - it was just my professor who was a jerk xD;
I completely 100% disagree. I've never learned math from a book, and I don't know many who have. I've always learned it through an instructor's demonstration and their guidance. The book has never made sense to me and just confuses me more. And I've honestly never heard of anyone saying they don't need the instructor o.O;
And I disagree. An instructor is there to teach you the subject, show you how it's done, etc. They're not there to be like "Here, figure it out on your own. Teach yourself." I think that's completely wrong and ridiculous and I would never take a course from an instructor like that.
Buuut I don't want to sit here and argue about who's idea is right or whatever xD;
We'll just agree to disagree XD;
I didn't fail every assignment, I got close to failing.
Judging by how he was grading, I was lucky if I got a D in the class - but in the end I got an A in the class.
I think he went back and instead of failing me because he didn't like my answers on that survey, he went through and actually graded me fairly after I wrote the review. He was no help to me at all and refused to explain or help, so I failed a few assignments because of that - I couldn't figure out how to do it and he refused to help. I was very honest in this review. He told me to stare at a book until I figured it out. Which doesn't make sense because obviously I didn't understand the book, as I had stated in several e-mails. So I turned in a couple blank assignments and failed them.
The others I got close to failing and in the 70s if I was lucky. Finally I went to my Mom's instructor, asked her for help, and she basically said I was doing it right, so that just pissed me off even more.
And because he closed the course down not long after my review was sent in, it further supports the fact that he started grading me fairly and stopped failing me on purpose in order to try and invalidate my claims etc. on the review so he didn't get reprimanded etc.
Either way, I've been out of the class for months now so it's over and done with and I'm just glad I don't have to deal with him again lol
Yeah I get that, most majors here have to too, but not all. It's just crazy. I mean, if you're an English major, how often are you really going to be using Calculus, Matrixes, algebraic equations, etc.
You did all of that in high school, what's college going to do?
You're never going to use it so why waste time taking the courses lol
LOL Yeah - if I had taken Statistics during the summer I would have had the exact same amount of work - I mean, he had an entire semester into a 1 month winter term class. It's nuts lol
Some algebra one I think - honestly have no idea lol
I think in the end I was in fact doing everything right. He just purposefully failed me, which he could do because he never gave reason for marking things wrong - he just said "error. error. error."
He could have totally gotten away with it if I hadn't spoken up and said something in the review.
