is menewsha going to get wings for sale in the shops, like white or black angel wings?

I really like this idea... though I think it'd be cooler as a high quality 1-2 pose CI set =3

it's a bit morbid but wings similar to say dragon wings but only the bone frame of them would be kind of cool.

I suppose that would be a suggestion for the item suggestion thread though ... regardless to keep it on subject I would also like to see some wings in the shops other than what we have right now. I mean Ci's are all well and good but some variety for the gold shops would be nice too.

No, we'd never have something like that as a store item because those are highly sought after items that will bring in much needed revenue. :)
Wings that would go into the store would be more highly coloured/unusual things that wouldn't do so well as a cash item.

I would for sure want some angel and demon wings as well. I have wanted some since I joined and don't get why we do not have them.

I think the staff is waiting for a larger paying userbase before they release them, so they can max out how much they get from them.

I'm completely speculating though.

That's one side of it Keyori, the other is; bring an item like that out when there's only a small amount of people to buy them and they become hideously expensive because there's hardly any in the system so they are almost unobtainable.

So it would be foolish to "waste" a sure-fire winner of an item by releasing something like that too early. Something that sites like Ernya should have thought about...

Maybe that would be a good item to release intermittently for the sponsored projects thinger. So, you could release it for one project, and then maybe a year later, release it again for a different project.

Law of diminishing returns wouldn't work in its favor though, and you'd get less and less out of 'em as time went by, I suspect.

I know my idea may be a little bit rash - but why not do a tektek ad or something of the sort at the time when you release items such as angel/demon wings? many people would notice since they're popular to about everyone. the downside would be a huge wave of newbies, but from what i remember things stay pretty normal when ads like that are around.

Not rash, Logan, but...the people an ad like that would pull in would mainly be younger people who wouldn't donate, so it wouldn't benefit us much, if at all to be honest.

well the younger ones do have parents with bank accounts though. Xd

But parents' bank accounts/credit cards typically (to my own biased experience, anyway) lead to charges they themselves are unaware of, causing them to issue charge-backs against said charges, ultimately tearing the money from Mene's hands.

Kids just are the most fickle target market. They're like kids in the supermarket who see the candy aisle, are tempted by the fact that those containers of candy are freely open, and stick their hands in 'em. Lawfully, they should scoop some candy in a bag and pay for it at the register, but they're bypassing that process simply because of t3h sh1n13s that also taste good.

While I understand the logic behind waiting for something like this till the userbase is large enough to turn out a nice profit and ensure that inflation won't rocket them into an unobtainable status, the exact opposite is just as harmful.

It's been a few years now that anyone suggesting wings has received the message that Menewsha is waiting till a "better" time to release the item. However, considering the recent news that the state of the economy isn't too well, wouldn't it be a wise idea to start releasing some sure-fire ways to draw in some income? I'd say now is a crucial time to release them, to hold Menewsha over until the economy stabalises itself enough that people are willing to start spending money on pixels. Just a few and far between could really help Menewsha. It's times like these that require sites to fall back on definite money-makers.

I am still hoping they will finally make matching wings to the dove and raven sets! xD
