He he he. I've gotten lost around here before. Cops had one of the streets closed and made every go a different route. Took me 15min to figure out how to get home. :stare:

Ah NC cops lol. I don't like the lack of road signs here. I moved from Oregon last year, where I swear they think we are incapable of thinking. But at least there were signs everywhere. Also the gas stations I'm still not used to lol. I forget you have to do it yourself.

They have full service gas stations in Oregon? I moved here from MN almost 6 years ago. I'm still getting used to having a train go through the middle of town and some of the lingo. LoL

Lol yeah they get really upset if you try to do it yourself there. Because we might spill it and some how ignite it and blow ourselves and the whole gas station up. Seriously they won't us do anything there. They have fences around everything, they even have the bars for traintracks across the sidewalks. You know in case you somehow missed the flashing red lights, the bells and all the cars stopped waiting. And yeah here there aren't even bars to stop a car. I find the accents funny though. Except when my dad tries to be all cool and imitate it very badly i might add. I told him he's going to upset a local one of these days lol.

The major intersections here have bars, but that's because the folks around here would be dumb enough to try and cross. Now out toward Huntersville there's several crossings without bars. I've also seen people driving to the gas stations/abc stores on riding lawnmowers because they lost their licenses. I don't notices the accents that much anymore unless it's someone with a real thick one. :lol: When I talk to my friends back home they tell me to stop talking with an accent.

Lol Thats funny. I haven't acquired a accent yet. I still feel like such a westener lol. main street here has two sides because of the train tracks, and there are no bars. lol actually i think there are a few farther down but where we are theres aren't bars. I find it freeing lol.

That'll change once you've lived here for around 2 1/2 - 3 years. :lol: (Though I'm still not all that into NASCAR) There used to be a bar not far from where I worked but they kept having bar fights so it got closed down and now it's a restaurant. Only "bars" around here are the ones inside restaurants.

I like nascar I'm just not all crazy over it lol. I doubt I'll have an accent by then. I don't go out much. Oh and another I don't like here is that you have to go to concord for a big mall. I really miss the two story JCPenny's. And is there any dairy queen here that has food not just ice cream?!

*Snickers* Once you get into the workforce, if you deal with people at all you'll pick up the accent. I miss the Mall of America. :cry: Amusement park and mall all in one. *le sigh* Hmmm...*looks* the only once I can find that has burgers is down in Charlotte.
