I'm somewhat looking forward to it, because then I can see people whining about school being open with thre inches of snow!

Resident Adviser. They are the people in the university dorms who are typically in charge of making sure students behave. Usually each one runs a floor/hall section, and then you have a main R.A. who is above all of them, and then finally, university housing staff.

Yup, yup, Z is right~ I'll be managing a floor in an upperclassman dorm starting in the spring! I'm very excited. And Taiyo's right too - you have to be good with people, but I am so I was lucky enough to get the job! I am very very happy!

like said; bad job for me. Not only am I introverted, I tend to be very sarcastic. And pissed; about 99.999% of the time I'm pissed at something or another.
Like my TV.

Oh man, that sounds like an awesome job. It reminds me of a camp I once went to... I would love to apply as an advisor for it but one has to be 21+ :|

@ Taiyo: Yeah!~ That's okay though, it just means that RA might not be the job for you. I'm always really happy, I just laugh randomly to myself sometimes! : 3
@Foxy: It is an awesome job! I'm really excited! Plus, your room and board is covered! I hope you get to do that camp thing in the future?

I really wouldn't mind having my room and board covered, but not at the expense of being around people all the time. *shivers*
Don't get me wrong; it's not like I'm some kind of reclusive, antisocial hermit who yells at anyone who comes within a ten-foot radius of me, I just have horrible social skills.

I love Bleach. Finally got past the Bount arc. (I know that's pretty much ancient history when it comes to Bleach, but I'm catching up with the series.)

*sigh* I don't think I'm going to really be "back" until December 7, 6pm, when I finish my last final of the quarter. This STUPID HISTORY SEMINAR. I decided to take it because the topic looked cool, and the reading list was a lot of really good stuff that I wanted to get to know, but the class is full of first-year grad students from a completely different department, and I'm one of only three or four people (out of twelve) who talk. And because the material is really difficult, and the professor is the kind who'll just let silence stretch out while people figure out what to say, it often feels like a waste of time.
But hey, Hegel's Introduction to the Philosophy of History is on Librivox, so I can listen to it instead of having to slog through it by reading!

It's a big classic of historiography (the study of the study of history -- no, that's not a typo), and is extremely dry and boring. But much better when read aloud, which is how the old German fogey, writing in the 19th century, probably imagined it.
This stupid seminar assigns about 400 pages a week, all dry, boring stuff. It would be worth it if the discussions were stimulating, but they aren't. :(

High school math isn't entirely a waste of time... it at least requires you to use your brain, right? I get to spend about 16 hours a week reading very difficult stuff, only to sit in near-silence for almost three hours every Tuesday afternoon.

Yeah, I tend to be nicey-nice when possible. Sometimes, though, frustration at idiotic timidity gets the better of me.
