Ahhh, I'm so glad I don't have to TA at the graduate school I'm going to. 100% research, :drool:

You're really lucky! Are you in the sciences? My school usually gives 2 years of fellowship and guarantees three of TAships. Teaching over the summer is extra income, and I've found I don't really mind it, except that this summer I won't really get a break from anything. I keep thinking it must be Winter Quarter (despite the heat) because I'm applying for fellowships and grading papers...

I'm in the sciences, but that's not the reason. Most grad schools still make you TA for science. The reason is, the school I'm going to is purely medical and grad school. They don't have an undergrad program at all.

Oh, sweet. Though, I guess you then miss out on the teaching experience part of a CV -- but if you're going purely into medical research, you don't need that. What aspect of medicine?

Pharmacology! The study of how chemicals interact with living systems. It's a lot of fun ;D
