Haha, no - I would totally recommend it, it's completely fun. It's like a realistic videogame, except that you can do whatever you want - like, just walk to the side and kill someone. Of course there would be consequences but you can just do crazy shit and ... yeah - it's just fun.

No, I lie. Well... partially. I have one friend, but I only just met her through work about 4 months ago... so it doesn't really count. We mostly just go shopping, to the movies, rock-climbing, relaxing on my balcony, etc. All normal stuff... I have no dork friends like me. They're all online.

Haha - all my friends are dork friends like me (like I said crazy bleach cosplayer) --- god, we marathoned yu-gi-oh on VHS for shits and giggles. so dorky.

But rockclimbing and doing ... you know actual stuff sounds fun! My friends and I kind of get stuck in the cycle of, go to the gym play video games. lol

I'm the exact same, only I have to do it alone. I seldom even get the chance to go out.

Well, I think that you can a lot of fun with your friends online too, it all depends. I think it'd be wrong to say that you should only have friends in RL. You should have a few in both! Yay!

I agree... having friends online has its own wonderfulness. You can say things to them that you might not feel comfortable telling to face-to-face friends.

Foxy, I'm kind of alone right now, too, except for my husband and cats. I have colleagues at school, and we occasionally go for coffee, but it's pretty clear we're not friends. My best friend and I actually don't keep in great contact, but every time we do email/call/facebook, it's like nothing has changed between us. We see each other every year or so, which is hardly enough, but we're both very busy. All of my friends from college have scattered, except for one, but she's still in San Francisco; and my friends from my time in Europe are, well, still in Europe. :(

Dungeons and Dragons—FTW! I played it a little bit in high school with my uber-freaky boyfriend at the time, and his even more freaky friends. He was a really scary jerk, in retrospect, so I might not ever get back into it. But it was fun. How do you play it online??

I agree, both online and real friends are important to me.

I know I love D and D! Like I said I play it with my best friends so it's really fun PLUS my character is neutral evil so she's really fun to play (random shit like. .... "I'm going to take over this town today." "WHAT?")

ahem. Anyway... no I've never played it online. I don't think my computer could withstand an MMORPG
