would you rather be deaf or blind.... i pick blind

I would go insane either way. I am very visual and audio. I do a lot of visual arts and I also write music so either way I'd be going insane.

I'm not sure...but I think I'd pick deaf over blind, though that would kill me inside just as much. Either way, I'd lose an entire life's worth of meaning for me. :gonk:

hmm thats hard. On one hand being deaf wouldn't be so bad, since I could still see the world around me, but being blind means that I could still hear the world around me. I'm also very visual and audio when learning or experiencing... I honestly couldn't pick one over the other.

It's a hard choice for me. But I would pick going deaf. I wouldn't have to deal with anyone yelling at me anymore, or anything annoying. But I would miss listening to music and actually listening to my friends and whatnot. Though I pick deaf because I'm an artist, and if I cannot see, I cannot draw, do photography, and other arts and crafts that I love to do so much.

Even though I would miss being able to listen to music, I would rather be deaf. If I was blind I would never be able to draw again and that would just destroy me to no end.

I'm more of a audio then visual person & I'm already pretty much blind in my one eye so i would pick blind.

Even though I draw and have and plan to for many years, I'd probably choose blind.
I just need to hear more than I need to see.

Deaf. I need my sight. I love seeing stuff.
I could stand not being able to listen to music, or use the phone. With people, there is sign language, and for TV there is the little words at the bottom...I forgot what they're called.

I think I would pick deaf over blind. I would, as Sho and Laila, miss listening to music, but I would rather be able to see. I'm a video game addict, and sight is EVERYTHING for video games. Plus, I would have a total excuse to ignore people who're obnoxious and trying to talk to me.

blind because then i would be able to enjoy beautiful music still and music is the biggest part of my world. it paints pictures. i wouldn't need to see.

I would easily choose blind because it's better to not see than to hear your surroundings. I don't know what I'd do if I went def. But if I went blind, I wouldn't mind so much. I'd miss a lot but not as much as things I'd miss if I was def.

I can't pick. i would rather keep both.

I would rather be deaf. It would suck so much missing out on music and peoples' voices... but I am an artist -- a visual artist. If my sight was taken from me... Well, I would really have a lot of trouble wanting to live. I spend my time writing when I'm not drawing, and you kind of need your sight for that, too, when it's role-play on the internet. I also like reading too much.

I would rather be in a world of silence than miss out in everything I love doing the most.

This is a really hard question!! I'm a musician and an artist... so both would be a problem for me. Yikes. I think I'd pick deaf, though. I wouldn't want to forget color, and I have a hard time picturing things in my head, so I would forget everyone's faces! That would be awful.

I love art, but I love music more. Music is my life... I love reading, too, but I'd settle for books on tape or braille. I'd find ways to write, too. So I'd rather be blind.

deaf definitely. if i was blind i wouldn't be able to sew, read, use the internet, watch tv.... the list goes on. plus being blind would mean i would need a guide dog or heaps of extra assistance just to get around and go out. For me silence would be heaps better than darkness. sure it would suck not being able to listen to music and listen to people normally but im a way more visual person

I'm also very paranoid. I investigate suspicious noises and need that for reassurance, but if I couldn't see around me, I may commit suicide to be honest. I'd like to say i'd adjust, but I probably couldn't.
If I couldn't hear, I wouldn't commit suicide, but I probably would go insane because I could only hear the noises in my mind,which are pretty weird, ticky kind of noises.

When it comes down to the nitty gritty, actually, i'd pick deaf but I would hope that NEVER happens.

I love reading and writing - whether it's books or online.

On the other hand I don't really listen to music and I could certainly do with an excuse not to hear those "old friends" calling out my name in the supermarket - when I haven't seen them in five years!

Deaf. At least there can be hand gestures and stuff.. But I seriously do feel sad for people who are deaf or blind.. or even worse, both .
Sigh, Without one of these senses.. it's like life has lost its meaning :/
