Geoffrey looked away from her when she asked him that. No one ever got close enough to him for a nickname. "No, not really," he said as he messed a little with his script as if he didn't know what else to do.

He then looked back up at Sukie. "What about you?" he then asked as he set the script beside him, away from his hands so he wouldn't worry about messing with it out of habit.

Celest felt hurt after Geoffrey didn't pick her to be his partner in Drama class, but she forgave him, knowing he had a reason behind it. Geoffrey didn't like Celest that much, but she knew there was no way in changing that.

After Drama class, Celest placed her script in her purse and quickly headed off to horse riding. She was a little mad that Naferet wanted her to try it out due to the fact that she hates heights, animals, and a sport like that.

Sukie looked confused when Geoffrey looked away from her. It was almost like he had never had friends before, although she couldnt understand why because he was a really nice guy. "My name's pretty short, but some people call me Kimmy. I dont know why!" she giggled and blushed, feeling stupid. Geoffrey needed a nickname. Something short and simple, that she could call him because they were freinds. His full name sounded too formal.

"Ooh! Can I call you Geo?!" she giggled and smiled at him, hoping he said yes.

Geoffrey looked back at Sukie and his face turned to a soft look. "Well, you do look like a Kimmy. Maybe that's way," he joked as the bell then rang.

"Geo? Well...whatever," he said as he shrugged and put his bag on his shoulder. "You can just call me whatever you'd like to," he said as he noticed Celest look at him as he saw her leave. "What is her problem...?" he said, not knowing he spoke out loud.

Sukie smiled, "Well then you may call me Kimmy!" she said and played with the bow in her hair again. Geoffrey didnt seem to happy about her calling him Geo, which made her wonder whether she actually should or not. She thought she would try it out just to see if he takes to it. "I have no idea! But she seems really upset that your talking to me!" Kimmy looked sad and hoped that she hadnt upset Celest. "I'm off to riding, and I think Celest is heading the same way..." she trailed off.

"I'll see you after lesson if you like!" she smiled, and hoped that he would want to see her.

He felt sorry to see Sukie look down all sad. "Hey, it's okay, she just has a crush on me and she's just upset that I don't like her back," he said, trying to lighten up the mood.

"I have Vamp Soc, and right now, I have Fencing. So, I guess I'll just see you at lunch, Kimmy," he said, trying out her nickname. "I sit in the far back corner booth if you want to sit with me," he said, just wanting to let her know.

Kimmy smiled and hugged Geo quickly. "I'll find you!" she shouted as she hurried off to Equestrian. "Have fun in Fencing!" she smiled and then ran round the corner and down the path that lead to the stables.


Equestrian went quickly, but only because she loved it so much. Galloping round the indoor riding arena, on her horse, Sully. She was beautiful and strong and gentle, and had been Kimmy's horse since she started at the House of Night...


Once they were done, she hurried off back to the main building for her next lesson. She had English, and she knew it was going to drag! Neferet had made her take a higher English than the other second year students because she was so good at it, but it was boring!! Kimmy kept thinking about lunch, she couldnt wait to see Geo again!

Geo was shocked after he felt Kimmy hug him. At first he liked it, but then he remembered how no one has ever hugged him since his mother. And that was big-time meaning. "See ya, Kimmy," he murmured after her.

Fencing seemed to go by pretty fast. Professor Lankford found Geo his favorite student just like that and had him help show the first formers how Fencing should really be done. And Geo did such a perfect job. "Don't forget about the challenge next Tuesday," Professor Lankford reminded Geo, with a wink in his eye. Geo looked back at the professor before he left the room and nodded in understandment and then left.

Vamp Soc. was not what Geo had thought it would be. Naferet took things too slow for him to pay attention too. But whenever his mind wasn't paying attention to Imprinting, his mind wandered onto Kimmy. There was so much he liked about her. She was so kind and caring around him, and he loved it. It's been a while since he's had that sort of friendship. Not to mention she was so beautiful.

Geo jumped from his seat like a ninja once the bell rang. It was time for lunch and it was time to be with Kimmy again. He wanted to smile, but didn't know how.

Kimmy practically ran from her last lesson to the dining hall. She was so excited to see Geo again. Queing up for dinner, Kimmy could not stop looking around to try and find him, or to see him walking and to wave for him to come and stand with her in the que. It seemed she had left too quickly form English, and had beaten most of the other students to the dining hall, so she just got her dinner (A salad) and picked up a bottle of orange juice and walked over to the table where Geo said he would be sitting. She sat there on her own and waited for him to come and sit with her, anticipation and excitement made it hard to eat, but she sipped her juice and tried to look like she wasnt about to bounce of the walls.

Geo entered the dining hall, glancing at his schedule and trying to figure out why Naferet squeezed him into the Creative Writing class. He never thought of himself as anything good when it came to things such as writing. But he trusted the headmistress.
Geo then looked up to see Kimmy at his table, sipping orange juice. He saw the anticipation in the way she was bouncing her foot off the floor. That almost made him smile, because he knew she was waiting for him.

After he piled his plate with lettuce, ranch, cold broccoli, some carrots, some strawberries, and a small bowl of oat meal, he made his way over to the table where Kimmy was at and sat down beside her even thought he could have sat across from her.

Kimmy saw Geo enter the dining hall and managed to swallow her excitement so he didnt think she was crazy. When he came and sat next to her, even though there was a seat opposite her, she couldnt help but smile. He always seemed so grouchy, even though she knew he wanted to smile, he never did. "Hey Geo!" she smiled, and stuffed some lettice into her mouth.

((heeheehee...))

Geo turned his grouchy face into a more relaxed, soft face and looked at her, seeing how happy she was to see him. That meant a lot to him. "Hey. How was your classes?" he asked as he grabbed a piece of cold broccoli and dipped it in his ranch as he munched on it, opening is apple juice bottle.

He wanted to laugh out loud the way Kimmy looked when she stuffed the lettuce in her mouth. It was just so cute.

Kimmy smiled, and said "They were alright. Equestrian was amazing, as usual, and Sully was being especially trotty today!" she said through her mouthful of lettice. It was then that she decided that Geo needed to smile, and the put down her fork and turned on the seat to look at him. She giggled and put her hands on either side of his face when he had finished his mouthful broccoli. "You need to learn how to smile!" she said and giggled. Using her delecate thumbs, she gently moved his mouth in to an adorable smile and then smiled herself with satisfaction. He was so cute when he smiled, even though she had made him do it...

"There we go! Remember how it feels!" she giggled and then kissed his cheek. Turning bright red, Kimmy shoved another piece of lettice into her mouth to try and take his mind of what she had just done.

"Who's Sully?" Geo asked Kimmy as he looked at her, trying to finish his mouthful of broccoli.

When he felt Kimmy put her hands on each side of his cheeks, he came close to blushing. And when she giggled and formed his lips into a smile. That was then when he cracked a small smile.

Geo wouldn't forget how to smile, thanks to Kimmy. And he then smiled when Kimmy kissed his cheek. And somehow he choked on the words he was trying to move from his throat. But he didn't even know what he was trying to say until they finally came out. "I heard there's supposed to be a little school dance next Friday after the ritual to welcome the newcomers to our school. Would you like to go with me?" he blurted out.

Kimmy was shocked, but a huge smile formed on her face. "I would love to!" she squeeled and hugged him tightly. "By the way, Sully's my horse!" she whispered and hugged him even more. It was amazing that she and Geo had become so close, but from the moment he caught her that morning (or evening as it would be for them) she had liked him. Now she knew that he liked her. He was smiling!


"I love you smile!" she said as she pulled out of the hug, fearing she might be squishing Geo. He was so adorable, and she was so happy that he wanted her to go to the dance with him.

"I'm glad you want to go," he said, still smiling as he then pulled her back into a hug.

That morning....

Geo laid in bed, unable to fall asleep as he couldn't stop thinking about her. For once in his life, things were going so well. She even agreed to go to the dance with him and that was just all the more great. Unable to sleep all day, he waited for the sun to fully set to go out of his dorm and just ride to pass the time.

After saddling up his horse Bronco, he went on the House of Night riding trail, taking his time as he galloped through the trees and mist from a day of rain. When he got back, he saw that it was time for breakfast. So he took care of Bronco and headed to breakfast in hopes that Kimmy was awake and in the dining hall.

Kimmy usually got up late and rushed her breakfast in the common room, but this morning was different. She had been up all day, tossing and turning and thinking about Geo. He had made such a huge impact on her life already, and the way her life had been was altered and she was actually so happy that it made it hard to breath when she saw him. Having time to get some decent breakfast, Kimmy got ready and put some makup on, not that her pretty face needed any, and walked out of the door. She smiled at some of the girls who were sitting around in the common room watching TV before they went to classes, and then made her way to the dining hall.

It smelled so good, and Kimmy decided that she wanted some oatmeal and strawberyy jam for her breakfast. She qued up with a few of the other early birds and then went to sit down. It was then that Geo caught her eye. She had not expected him to be up and getting breakfast, but she was happy...

She walked over and positioned herself next to him on the same seat she had sat yesterday at lunch. "Good morning!" she chimed and kissed Geo's cheek again, before she could stop herself. It was becoming a regular occurance, and as usual, she forced food into her mouth to try and cover the embarassment of not being able to control her actions. "Did you sleep well?" she mumbled through a mouthful of creamy oats and sweet jam.

Geo entered the dining hall, got some toast and random mini jars of jelly, a knife, and a glass of orange juice. He was rather hungry.

Geo was just about to take a bite of his apricot jelly toast when he smelled Kimmy as he then felt her sit down next to her. After her small kiss on his cheek, he cracked a small smile and looked over at her, sensing the embarrassment. So in return, he would embarrass himself as well as he took up the moment and kissed Kimmy's cheek in return. "Surprisingly, no," he answered as he took a bite of his toast finally, wishing so badly for coffee. "Did you?" he then asked after swallowing his bite.

Oat meal sounded good, but he preferred that for dinner. So, he would get some later. Three years in the House of Night and he still wasn't use to the "eat-healthy" policy. He missed Pepsi, Coke, the sweet cereal, coffee, Eggo's, French Toast, and most of all...he missed Cheese Cake. He sighed and looked down at his food as if he was waiting for it to jump up and bite him.

Kimmy blushed and giggled through her oatmeal. She knew that Geo had kissed her to make her feel better about making a fool of herself, and for that she was greatful. "Not one blink" she sighed and rubbed her sleepy eyes. "I just lay there all day, tossing and turning" she smiled, and took another mouthful of her breakfast.

"Urgh, I hate the food here! I wish I had some sweet fruit loops or even better, pancakes!" Kimmy giggled and looked at Geo. "You look like your not to keen either!" she smiled and giggled as he looked at his food in utter digust.

Geo chuckled. "Any reason why you couldn't sleep?" he asked. "I couldn't sleep because too many things were running through my mind," he said, hoping it would make her feel better.

"Yeah, I want some of that food too. We can get it this weekend, if you wanna go into town. But first, I have to pick up some cover-up for my moon," he said as he pointed to the filled-in blue moon outlined in a lace pattern.

"Its funny, I couldnt sleep for the exact same reason!" she said, hoping he knew that she was talking about thinking about him all night. When Geo offered the chance to go out at the weekend and get some nice food, she smiled. "Definately!" she said and hugged him, so happy that he was offering her pizza and cake, and Oreo's!

When Geo mentioned his mark, Kimmy looked up and smiled. She had noticed that his mark was filled in, and that it was encased in a beautiful lacework pattern, but it had not bothered her. She thought it was pretty, and she decided that he would tell her in his own time how his mark had filled in, it was afterall a personal question to ask when you had just falled over someones lap.

Kimmy reached up and traced the pattern of the mark with her finger. She was careful to be gentle, and then she smiled and looked deep into his eyes. He was stunningly beautiful, and every bit perfect.


Geo made her knees weak, and her food was even more tasteless than before. All she wanted to do was kiss him, but she resisted temptation, knowing it would be too soon, and he would probably move away from her anyway.

Geo smiled and closed his eyes as he felt her fingers trace his mark. And when he opened her eyes, he blushed a little at how close she was. Resisting the urge to just kiss her then, he waited for her to go at her own distance so he could fully control himself. After that, he finished off his food, which he really didn't want to finish but he was hungry and he knew he needed the food in his system, and he waited for Kimmy to finish, loving how beautiful she was whenever she smiled. Her eyes lit up every time and at times, he wished he could just ask her to be his girlfriend.

Freddy walked into the Dining Hall with two girls drooling over him behind him. He sighed and smiled. Life is good, he thought to himself. Then he looked around for an empty table and then found one next to a table with what looked to be little Geoffrey and some second former who he had his eyes on but would bother later when Geoffrey was around. Thanks to fencing, Freddy knew the Geoffrey was not the type of guy to mess with. That little dude has some mad skills with a sword. I'd like to see him without one, he then thought with a half smile.

Kimmy finished her breakfast and then looked at Geo. It was so amazing that he had waited for her. She smiled sweetly at him and grabbed hold of her tray, ready to take it to the trash and then slowly make her way to her first lesson of the day. Vamp Soc with Neferet was never the most thrilling subjects. Kimmy always thought that Neferet was too simple and left out too much. Although her High Preistess was beautiful and a perfect example of how to be, she bored Kimmy when it came to Vampire Sociology.

"What class do you have first?" Kimmy asked Geo as they went to dispose of their rubbish.

Geo gave a small smile back at Kimmy. "Naferet placed me in Vamp Soc for today. She said that later, she wanted me to try out yet another extra curricular activity," he answered and rolled his eyes dramatically.

Then he grabbed his tray and followed Kimmy to the trash can as he the followed her to where ever she was walking to next. He still had about half an hour before class.

"Another Extra Curricular? How many is she making you do?" Kimmy smiled as Geo followed her out of the dining hall. She found a tree in thr large courtyard and sat under it, looking at Geo in a 'join me?' kind of way. She was looking forward to talking with him before lessons started. Hopefully, he would agree to watching a movie that night, since it was friday and the weekend was official here as soon as lessons finished.
