Whenever you're ready to start. I think it'd be good if your character started first so I can find the right time for my character to come into the picture. :)

Name: Rick Hart
Age: 26
Grade(student or what grade you teach) Teaches high school eleventh grade english.
Personality: Rick hasn't been one to keep a good relationship. Divorced twice with one girl leaving him standing at the alter, Rick doesn't hope in love anymore. But he's incredibly smart, sweet, caring, understanding, kind, and he's known for how great his enlglish class is and how many kids enjoy having him around.
Background: As a teenager, he worked two jobs throughout highschool with dreams to teach someday. After his tired-some days of teenage youth, he was finally able to relax when he finally saved up enough money for college. Now he's a wealth man with a lot of friends around him.

[IMGleft]http://i35.tinypic.com/2qiy1ba.jpg[/IMGleft]Name: Eclair Jeanine Madison
Age: 17
Grade(student): High school junior
Personality: Socially shy, she is outspoken in class. She spends most of her school day daydreaming about her teacher while in class. Studies avidly but loves making time for friends.
Background: An upper-middle class student, she is the youngest daughter in a large family. She attends the local high school and her favorite class there is English.
Picture: see left

-------------------------------------------------------------

It was morning again, and the weather was pleasantly fine. Eclair was enjoying a few moments to herself before class started. Earlier that day, she had walked to school without the accompaniment of her older siblings. One of her brothers, only a year older than her, ran off separately to be with his friends, and the rest of their brothers and sisters were college-aged, some studying abroad, and some at a more local university.

She rested on a park bench, with her uniform perfectly clean and crisply ironed. For her preferences, it simply wouldn't do to have a wrinkled uniform, especially when there was always a certain someone to impress.

That someone...was her teacher.

Mr. Hart. He taught her first class of the day, and the best way to wake up. Thankfully, for Eclair, it was also homeroom. The other classes at school didn't matter. So long as she had decent enough grades, she was happy. And in English class, she worked especially hard. Mainly to get his attention, of course.

The warning bell rang. She glanced up at the clock. "Ten more minutes?" She giggled. "Yes!" The one difficulty Eclair had was that she had to appear uneager to go to class. Like a normal student.

After Rick messed with his hair after five minutes, he just couldn't seem to find the right hairstyle. Especially when he wanted to look good for his first class and for the rest of the day, of course. He sprayed some more hair mouse in his hands and then worked his hair again, one last shot. After finding a suitable tossled-hair look, he smirked at his reflection. Good enough, he thought to himself as he glanced at his watch. He had five minutes before he would have to leave for his teaching job for English, but he wanted to leave now. So he tied his shoes, grabbed his coffee from his house maid, and started up his black Volvo.

When he parked in the school parking lot, he noticed he had ten minutes to get to class once he heard the warning bell as he locked up his car. Then he walked up to the school's front steps and noticed her...someone he looked forward to every day of the week. Eclair. He smile and murmured his "Good morning, Miss Madison." with what guts he had to speak to her.

~ ~ ~ ~

"Sukie Foster?" Rick called for the attendance sheet.

"Yo," Sukie said from the back of the room.

"Robby Ford?" he then called.

"Here," Robby said from the front row in a tired voice.

Rick stumbled a little at the next name. "Eclair Madison?" he called as he looked at her, a little taken aback at how beautiful she looked today.

Eclair gasped slightly and looked up. Her posture whenever she was around him was slouched, a habit she would have liked to improve, but her timid personality wouldn't let her. "Good morning," she replied very quietly. 'His hair...is always perfect. Oh my gosh, but he's so much older than me,' she thought. The age difference between them wasn't actually as terrible as she thought. Mr. Hart looked like he could have been a grad student at a university if he wanted to.

As a precautionary measure to ensure that she would not be late for class by the time the teacher came around, she followed behind him for a few steps then detoured another route. Her heart was pounding as she caught up with her friends momentarily and walked with them to class. It wasn't a secret in their circle to know that Eclair had the forbidden hots for their teacher, but they were the only people she could confide in. They entered the classroom before he started taking attendance, and Eclair's seat was somewhere in the back, next to a wall.

She heard her name called during attendance. Her head was hung down slightly and some strands of hair covered the sides of her face, hiding whatever possible trace of a blush Eclair might have set off. She raised her hand quite low, remembering one of the days in class Mr. Hart spoke out that she should make herself more known during attendance. But she didn't want to.

"Alright, so for today we will be getting into groups. I trust you all finished chapter four last night of Scribbler of Dreams? Well, I have set you off into two person-per group to do a character plot line. But I'm afraid with the odd amount of students we have in this class, only one will have to be squeezed in," he started as he read off the list of who is with who.

Eclair was the one without a partner, so Rick walked up to her desk with his usual smile as he bent down to her level. "Eclair? Do you want to work with me or do you want to skooch in with another group? Either way, it's up to you," he said with a smile. Please say with me, he screamed in his head as he looked into Eclair's beautiful blue eyes, lost in them like an ocean.

If she really were blushing, her face had just reddened even more. Unfortunately, she didn't have a compact mirror and it wasn't as if she could just bust out one of her friends' makeup kits to check. Not while the teacher was in front of her!

Sherri, one of her circle of friends, who happened to sit directly behind her kicked her seat. Nearly jumping out of her seat, she bolted upright, taking it as a sign that she should say "yes" at the opportunity of being paired up with their teacher. 'But...the others would probably look at me like I'm pathetic,' Eclair imagined. Though he was a revered instructor, boundaries still were set within the student body. Only the cool kids were allowed to make it look like a fashion trend to hang out with an equally cool teacher. Anyone less-than-popular wasn't usually awarded such a thing.

She nodded her head. "Er, sure." Almost regretting it out of embarrassment, she did have friends who would welcome her as the third person in the group, but Sherri's kick was quite convincing. She could almost see it now - they were smirking behind her, and would definitely tease her for it later. She was also taught a variety of flirting skills by Sabrina, her other friend. However, Eclair didn't do so well in that department, but they were expecting her to use them on her teacher anyway.

'Oh, the life of peer pressure in the student body,' she nearly huffed out loud. Instead, she stood up, took her binder and a pencil with her before speaking again. "Where's a good place to sit? It's pretty crowded back here." And the pairs of students with their multiple conversations were just getting louder.

Rick was happy that Eclair agreed. But he quickly bolted away when Eclair jumped out of her seat, her body barely brushing against his. Then he looked around.

"Kinda keep the talking level down?" Rick asked the class in a raised tone as the noise level decreased greatly.

He then look back down at Eclair and smiled. "Grab a chair and we'll work at my desk," he told her.

He knew he had boundaries set when it came to liking Eclair as much as he knew he did at the moment, but somehow, he just wish it didn't have to be like this. Being alone with her, not in a creepy manor or anything, would be nice. Just to talk freely.

Once they sat down at his desk, Rick gave her the worksheet and smiled. "Here, if you have any questions I'm here. You're a smart girl and if I left you out of a group...well...alone," he fumbled as he sighed to find the words to continue. "I'm sure you'd be able to finish it yourself," he said, his face getting a little heated as he turned around in his swivel chain and began to grade papers. "Feel free to talk to me about anything, really," he said, realizing what had just been blurted from his mouth.

As she left to go sit down with her teacher, Sherri and Sabrina started laughing. Which was fine because the classroom only stayed quiet for a few seconds before resuming their scores of gossip. Several pairs of eyes trailed towards the teacher's desk, as Eclair felt them like stabs. As she looked at the book cover, she mentioned to Mr. Hart (and that's all she ever refers him as due to propriety) offhand, "This is some kind of contemporary Romeo-and-Juliet thing, right?"

He already knew that she would be able to finish the worksheet by herself. The reading was fairly easy considering most everyone had already read Shakespeare before. Unlike the normal girls who favored Romeo and Juliet, Eclair's favorite Shakespearean play was Taming of the Shrew. Though this project wasn't about that play, obviously.

Every time she spoke to him, she deliberately averted eye contact, either going to the wall, the ceiling, or directly past his head and to the board behind him. This usually happened as she tended to stare at other parts of his body - the upper body, of course. She wrote a few things on the paper before trying to make conversation with Mr. Hart, although she worried that he would be too busy or preoccupied to answer any of her questions. "Where does this book take place? I never got that," she suddenly said. What she wanted more was to ask him about his life, and what he was about.

Rick smiled as he felt her eyes on his upper body, but kept his eyes on her eyes. "Yes, it is. Personally, I prefer this over Romeo and Juliet," he said as he pointed to the book. "Mary E. Pearson did such a wonderful job with it."

"I never really got it either. All I know is a place called Twin Oaks in the middle of country somewhere," Rick said as he scooted his chair closer to look at what she had so far on her paper. So far, she was up to a brilliant start.

Impressed, Rick raised his eyebrows at her paper and let out a sigh. "Sometimes I ask myself why you aren't in a higher and better English class, Eclair," he murmured to her.

She grinned eagerly. "I was in higher-level classes when I was a kid, then I slacked off in middle school. It's a long story," she explained to her teacher rather casually. 'The popular kids talk to him like a confidante, so why can't I?' she thought. "I just didn't study back then, but I totally get most things now."

Eclair rested her lips over her fist in thought. "Twin Oaks? You sure these people aren't in some kind of rural, godforsaken area or something?" she suggested.

"You sure? 'Cause if you want to talk about it...I mean, there's gotta be a reason why you didn't bother to study, right?" he asked her. Then he chuckled at her response to the book. "I thought the same thing too when I first read the book. It seems that way, huh?"

And before Rick knew it, class was almost over. "Okay, class. Get back to your seats and we'll continue this tomorrow. Bell's about to ring," he said as he then looked at Eclair, waiting for her to get back to her seat and watching her move swiftly and perfectly.

He couldn't wait for lunch where he'd be able to see her again.

"I really didn't do anything," she admitted. "I was more involved with trying to snag a boyfriend, though that failed miserably." At Mr. Hart's response to the book, she then asked him, "Well why'd you pick it?" then shortly after, realized that the question was redundant - he liked it better than Romeo and Juliet.

'Score!' she tallied. Another bit of information to keep in her mental database. Some say Eclair seemed like a walking phone book, but she was more of a walking little black book instead, filled with minute details of everything that was important to her. Which mostly involved facts of things like...her teacher and his interests.

It was then that he announced that class was almost over. Before getting her answer, she scrambled back to her seat to comfortably be with her friends.

((It's fine. I'm distracted with typing up a couple of profiles for another RP. Don't know HOW I made super big paragraphs. That's not usually the case, I swear! What time zone are you in, btw? I have Pacific Standard. Probably will be logging off for the night in an hour or two.))

Rick staggered with his words, but managed to have them come out flawlessly. "And you didn't find a boyfriend? I find that shocking," he said, hoping that Eclair took it as a compliment. "I picked this book because it has a lot of meaning in its story line. It teaches a lot," he said as he then watched her leave.

Once the bell rang, Rick scrambled for his graded papers to collect together as he paper-clipped them and put them in a file next to his in tray. After that, he sighed, looking at the clock. Two and a half hours more until lunch...great, he thought to himself as the bell rang and he watched Eclair leave with her friends, laughing and looking happy.

She's so beautiful when she smiles, like her eyes light up, he then thought as he slowly shook his head and watched his next class appear for his fundamental English class.

((Uhh...I never really learned about the time zone I'm in. Right now, it's 1:46 PM I think it's something Eastern...?))

((Yeah, you're three hours ahead of me. Okay, at least we got that solved. Thanks!))

Eclair shuffled her way out the door with Sabrina and Sherri. "Dish, girl!" Sherri insisted. "NO! Not until we're outta here," Eclair laughed. But the girls prodded her with questions, and very loudly. They were headed toward the math building, something Eclair never looked forward to, and after that would be history class. Total dullsville. She figured she'd be asleep before lunch.

On the offhand, she stalked one of Mr. Hart's social networking pages every once in a while, just to find out something about him. And what she read of his interests, she either categorized as stuff she liked or disliked. Still, it was easy for her to fantasize about him. And it all started with a dream she had of him, so unexpectedly.

At the beginning of the school term, on the first day of class, Eclair never expected this to happen. Rick Hart was just another teacher...or so she thought. But sometime during that first week of school, she dreamed that she married him and was already on her honeymoon at a bed & breakfast. 'Of all the crazy, convoluted things!' she thought. After that was the beginning of her downfall, and every day, she was obsessed with talking about him.

"It won't last," she denied to her friends. "Besides, we've only got till the end of the school year and after that, we'll be on summer vacation and later on, new classes with completely new teachers!"

"Well, did you at least twirl your hair like I told you to?" Sabrina asked.

"You were watching, you would know that I didn't," Eclair replied.

"What'd you find out about him?" This came from Sherri.

"Nothing. We just talked about the book!" was the response.

When it was finally lunch time, Rick got with his friends Jarry Linary and Christina Weetly. Jarry taught Math and Christina taught twelfth grade English. He walked with them slowly down the halls of the school, making their way to the lunch room. Once they entered and got in line, Rick looked around and saw Eclair sitting at her table, laughing with her friends. He then looked away as he got his food.

"I swear the lunch ladies must not get paid enough to make decent food," Rick said as they sat down at a table near the window next to a few other tables where the teachers sat. He took a spoonful of weird brown ushy gooshy stuff and tilted his spoon so that it flipped back into place. Jarry and Christina laughed at the face he made.

Eclair, indeed, was rather sleepy and disconnected from the school world. She sat in front of a slice of pizza that was nowhere near the taste and quality of Pizza Hut (although not healthy, it was still her favorite brand), and it looked like it was gonna attack her. The "fruit cups" didn't even count as a real serving of fruit, just small dices of fruit trapped in jello molds.

She was thinking over the conversation she had earlier with her teacher. She definitely heard his disbelief in the fact that she never had a boyfriend. 'I wasn't that popular,' she wanted to reply back, but she had already headed back to her seat.

Leaning on her elbows as everyone else around her talked, in her line of vision, lo and behold, there was Mr. Hart. Sitting up a little, she nudged Alec, her slightly older brother, in his side. For being a brother that was a senior (an upper-tier popular senior), he sometimes let Eclair and her friends sit with him and his group. Sometimes. "What?" Alec asked her. "Oh, sorry, bro. Accident," she lied. He wasn't supposed to know of her infatuation with Mr. Hart, a teacher that Alec himself had last year.

Alec shrugged it off and looked around the lunchroom. "Oh hey, there's Rick," he said to his guy friends. He called out the teacher's name to get his attention and nodded and waved to him.

"What the hell?" Eclair frowned, pulling her brother's arm down. "Don't tell me he's all buddy-buddy with you, too?"

Rick looked over at who called his name. The one who did so was his old favorite student, Alec Madison. He smiled and waved back. "Guys, I'll be back," he said.

He got up and took his apple with him as he walked over to the table where Alec was sitting, kind of nervous about the fact that Eclair was sitting right next to him. He smiled. "Hey, Alec," he said as he patted Alec's shoulder like he was his best friend. And then he looked over at Eclair. "Hullo, Eclair," he then said. "How you guys doing?" he asked as he looked around the table at everyone. It looked to be a decent group of people that he remembered everyone from his present and old classes.

"Oh, no," Eclair whispered, turning away before her teacher got to the table. Her eyes widened, however, when he acknowledged her along with her brother. She scooted closer to her girls who sat on the other side of her. Alec was very generous to let her sit at the center of the table next to him, as he was head of his crew.

"Sup, teach?" greeted Alec, high-fiving Rick. He chuckled, like one of those cocky guys living in the United States. Well, it grew on him after vacationing there for a week. His uniform, unlike his sister's, was disheveled. Oh it still was up to dress code standard, but a few of his shirt buttons were unbuttoned and rumpled, and his collar was popped up. "It's all good here. Whatcha been up to, my man?" He put an arm around a terrified Eclair, pulling her towards him. "This is my little sister, Eclair. You met her? She's a junior," he said with what sounded like arrogant pride.

Rick smiled and high-fived Alec back and looked at Eclair. She looked embarrassed and scared. "Ah, yes. Eclair Madison. She's in my first period English class. I'd have to say, she's one of the brightest I've see in that class so far," Rick said with a chuckle, hoping to help make Eclair feel more comfortable.

"Well, listen I have to get back to my lunch before it's too long. So I'll see you guys later?" Rick asked with a dazzling smile.

Her heart totally fluttered and her stomach lurched. 'He's got perfect teeth, too!' Eclair checked off in her head. Thankfully, nobody could see inside her body unless they had an x-ray on her. Which would be quite radioactive if they had done so. And he complimented her!

"Really?" Alec asked. "Sis, why didn't you tell me you were in his class? I coulda helped you with some of your stuff if you just asked." Well, that was actually untrue. He wasn't as high a marker as Eclair was, and she was just too much of an overachiever. "Going already? All right man, I'll see you around."

Eclair said nothing in response, either out of shock, embarrassment, or she was totally at a loss for words. That would probably be the last time she saw him for the day, which sucked.

"Bye, Mr. Hart!" the other girls said cutely, waving their fingers and batting their eyes. He sure was a looker.

"Surprising or not, I must say Eclair is so smart she doesn't need your help," Rick joked to Alec.

He waved goodbye and was kind of disappointed when Eclair didn't respond to him at all. But then he giggled when he heard her friends speak for her. It was cute and rather entertaining, to say.

He couldn't wait for the end of the day for home room. Report cards were to be passed out.

"Aww, Mr. Rick, you broke my Hart!" he shot back, placing his hands over his heart and leaning backwards. His friends laughed - Alec was always like that.

After he left, Eclair poked her brother. "Move. I gotta use the bathroom," she told him, as an alibi. Thank God Alec was so clueless about her infatuation with their teacher. It would bring a hell of a lot of trouble to her reputation if anyone outside her group found out. Thankfully, nobody ever questioned them. They were so socially out of the loop that if they gossiped about something, nobody would actually care.

And thus, Alec took the time to try and make his sister into a more confident girl. He spanked her on her backside as he moved aside and let her go. Shoving her backpack onto her shoulder, Eclair walked off with her girlfriends, leaving their trays behind, in which Alec's lackeys would kindly dump the trash into their proper bins for them.

"Remember, that's my little sister," he warned his boys. "You guys hurt one hair on her haid, you'll be reporting to me."

The next day, Rick wasn't doing too good. His mother had called up and check up on him like she did once a month. Now his mother wants him to come back home and practically screamed over the phone about it to Rick. Rick got to school early to have alone time in his classroom. He sat in his chair with the blinds closed but the door open and just starred up at the stained sealing of his classroom. The lights were dimmed low as a small headache began its way to become a bigger headache.

I hope something good happens today, Rick moaned in his mind, just waiting for something to happen.

Eclair arrived early at school to catch up with her friends as usual. There wasn't many other places she could go to. In the library, they congregated as they did most mornings. Luckily, with their group being good friends with the librarian (seriously, they were that unpopular with their peers but were better with faculty members) they were never kicked out.

"Ugh. I got a C minus in my math class. If I don't get that thing raised to a solid B, I'm gonna be toast!" she groaned out.

"Well, talk about bad grades. I got a D in physics. Why does calculating formulas have to be so hard? I mean, there's just so many things you have to memorize," another girl whined.

"God, you guys don't know bad, until you're in History class. That stuff is so damn boring. Everyone else just falls asleep with their eyes open," chimed another one of the group members.

"At least we have some good classes. If we didn't, I'd go crazy."

While the other girls were gossiping over the latest rumors, celebrity and socially, Eclair started to scribble on a half sheet of paper. She did this every once in a while, musing over her wishes, her dreams, her latest boyband obsession, and her fantasies. Of course...these notes would be pasted into her diary later, usually.

Mrs. Hart.

Eclair Hart
- this was written with a heart in between the first and last name.

My dreams are my downfall. Once I found you in them, and instantly loved you. Forbidden love. That's all it's ever gonna be. I'm gonna be so glad when this term is over.

Favorite food? (blank)

Favorite book? The one we were reading in class. It's like Romeo and Juliet, but not really. Does he like Shakespeare?

Wears glasses. At least he looks intellectual. Really young (26!) Nine years isn't that bad of an age difference. Compared to other couples.

She decorated a border around the paper, with hearts and the intertwined initials E and R in script writing. She sometimes was obsessed with decorative calligraphy...

Rick sighed and relaxed back as he then got up from his chair and turned his lights on all the way, hoping that it will mean that some students could start seating in here early before class. He picked up Scribbler of Dreams and read some more. He sighed and shook his head at the one part he was at where Kaitlin decided to lie one more time. Of course he knew the outcome, but he just couldn't believe how foolish she seemed to be. Bram was actually his hero. Honest and trustworthy.

Once he finished the chapter, he had to force himself to put it down so that he wouldn't have to be far ahead of where the class was at.
