Cormac frowns at the books, which are now all over him. His father stares at him and chuckles. "Good going." Cormac takes Miller's hand then grumbles. "I fail. Amazingly." He sighs. "Ew, books. And they were so neat and orderly." His father raises an eyebrow. "Nothing you pack is neat. But be glad it wasn't your laptop." Cormac stares, unamused. "I'd just repair it anyway." He starts picking the books up, inspecting them. He places them in the box carefully, trying to lighten it.

(Hah. I adore Cormac. His reaction makes me giggle.)

(Lol. It made me laugh. XD Cormac is such a wierdo. But I love it. ^^)

Miller wanted to clean his hands when Cormac let go. But when he went to walk away, his mother put her hands on her hip and gave him The look. So he turned back around and began to pick up the books too. He saw the way Cormac put some very small books inside when there were biggers ones. It drove Miller crazy. He tried to let it go. But instead he took the books out. Cormac would put a book in, he would take it out. If it was one of the bigger books he left it alone depending on if there was a bigger book. But if it wasn't, he took it out. He couldn't help it. His mom sighed and leaned into her new husband, watching them.

Cormac keeps eying his books, looking annoyed when he sees one is bent in the corner. "Aw. Failure, book. Unbend yourself." His father raises an eyebrow. "Books can't hear you, son." Cormac pouts at him. "Oh, shush, you're ruining my fun. Stop being stuffy." He keeps looking through his books, putting aside the damaged ones.

Miller blinked. But perhaps the way Cormac's antics were weren't so bad. Maybe they could be weirdo's together. Or atleast he wasn't going to be made fun on. Miller got a small box for the damaged ones. He knew how to fix them. When he put them all in size order in the box he stood up and began to walk away with them. His mom knew he wanted to fix them, but she hoped the other boy wasn't going to think Miller was stealing his books.

Cormac quickly heads back out for the only other big box. He sighs at it. "Computer parts. That'll be fun." He picks it up quickly, bracing himself against the car this time. Once he's up he begins heading inside, until he runs into the wall. "I give up." He backs up. "I'd not come near me, until this is settled," he warns. He carefully heads into his room and places it down. "Yay. I'm still in one piece. ...I'll feel this tomorrow, though." He goes to get another box, and trips over nothing. He just stays on the ground, shaking with silent laughter. "I...need...to...stop...failing..." he states, in between laughs.

Miller was in his room fixing the damaged books. It didn't take him very long, because he was used to broken books. From school, his own books. When he was done he carried them to Cormac's room and put them down. He walked away before he would want to fix everything again. Instead he went to his room and checked to see is his friend was on. He wasn't. So he got back off and hurried downstairs to finish helping since his mom was making him.

Cormac heads back out after a moment. "Hey Dad, if I ever have to do this again, I'm gonna throw a monitor at yoou." He grabs two more boxes, down to only four. He plops them on his bed, opening the top one. It's full of cds, the top row being all Broadway soundtracks. He eyes them. "I swear, I'll beat him over the head with my shoe if even one of these is damaged."

Miller helped with the rest of the boxes and then left. He didn't like the new family. He doubted he ever would. Though Cormac seemed okay anyway. Mostly because he was kind of as weird as he was. Finally he helped his mom with finishing the dinner. More like he finished it, because she was busy kissing his step-dad.

Cormac passes the kitchen and shudders. He then heads to his room and flips through his CDs as he logsin to his laptop. He stares at it, in shock. "What do you mean, 'Error, cannot log in?' I am not reformatting you." He quickly starts typing things in, trying to get it to work.

From the kitchen, Miller could hear Cormac. He bit his lip and then went upstairs. Awkwardly he edged into the room. He didn't know what to say, so went towards Cormac, and leaned over. He pressed a few buttons, and the fixed the computer. Like he had told him over the computer, he knew how to fix computers.

"Wait...what did you just do? Besides the obvious fixing this?" He glances up at Miller, looking obviously shocked. He tilts his head at the computer. "Do you really hate me, Presario?" He pouts cutely at the laptop.

Miller watched the boy. He had to say the boy was cute. He just wrote down what keys to press and such, and then began to leave awkwardly.

Cormac read over the list then facepalms. "I...feel stupid. Which is a daily occurrence, but still." He logs in, slowly typing in his thirty five character password. He then nods. "Hah. I didn't fail this time."

Miller stopped to listen to him, and then left the room. He sat at his desk and turned the computer on. Dinner was almost ready, so he knew he wouldn't be able to be on long.

He logs into the chat room quickly, then checks his email. "Damn it," he hisses. "Dad!" He rubs his temples, looking visibly upset. He eyes the chat, as he calls for his father again.

Miller could hear the boy, his stepbrother, yell for his dad. He logged off his chatroom and hurried downstairs. He stopped to let the dad pass. He moved close to his mom in the kitchen and clung to her. It was weird having people around.

Cormac quietly explains that he needs to go back to the school to take a driving class. "Can't you get me out of it...? I'm not going back there." His father frowns. "I'll see what I can do. Dinner's just about ready, go clean up." Cormac silently nods, and gets ready. When he comes out, he looks like he's going to burst into tears. He glances at his father again. 'I can't go back there...I will end up being killed this time..." His father nods, silently.

Miller dropped a plate hearing the word killed. He froze in place and his mother came rushing. She didn't bother him. She knew he'd snap out of it at any moment. Just picked up the now shattered plate from the floor. A million of different things popped into his mind. He new a lot about both X-Rays (Which Cormac had already learned about) and the different causes of death.

Cormac stands suddenly. "I'm not hungry." He quickly heads back to his room, and digs through his stuff, turning his music on. His father sighs and follows him. His father opens the door, and Rent music pours out. "You never did tell me the extent of the abuse." Cormac glances at him. "And why should I? You were never home. And when you were it was to drop something off and leave again."

Miller stood there for awhile before coming back into it all. He blinked finding only his mom and him there. What had happened to the others? He sighed and began to fix the plates in food height order.

His father sighed. "I tried, Cormac." Cormac grunts. "You should really come and eat. You can get to know your step mother and step brother." Cormac shrugs, shutting his music off. He gets up and slips past his father, going in and sitting down silently. His father sighs and glances wearily at his wife when he walks back in.

Miller was sitting at the table now, in his seat. The only thing he didn't seem to care about was people height. That didn't bother him at all. He had to say he was a little surprised to see his step brother come down with his father.

Cormac picks at his food. "I'm not doing driver's ed. I'll fail if it comes down to that...," he mutters sullenly. It seems like something major happened to make him hate public schooling. His father rubs his forehead. "I'll see what I can do... So just drop it for now," he pleads.
