"Hi Miss Adaa! I miss you! Are you okay? Do you miss me? Tomoyo is mad at you. Why is he mad at you?" Kasumi spoke into the phone.

"Uh...wha," she asked blearily. "Sorry...cant talk...now...sick," she murmured. Her hand went limp as she fainted from her fever.

Kasumi blinked and frowned. She hung up sadly and then helped Tomoyo with the restaurant again.

Adaa knocked the phone on to the ground as she moved restlessly. It was freezing so she was able to grab the blankets and pulled them over her even though sweat beaded her brow. She called out Tomoyo's name at one point asking him not to leave in her fevered state.

Ofcourse he hadn't heard her. He was too far to hear her. Kasumi told Tomoyo that she was worried about Adaa. Sighing, Tomoyo found Adaa's address and went to her house with Kasumi. He knocked on the door, not really wanting to see her.

Adaa barely heard the knock and it took her a couple seconds to realize what it was. She rolled off her head, trailing a blanky behind her as she answered the door. She looked up and saw Kasumi and Tomoyo. Adaa blinked trying to figure out if it was really them or not. "Wha? Why are you guys here," she asked wearily not sure if she could stand for much longer. "Is something wrong?" She pushed lank locks of hair from her face with a limp hand.

Tomoyo frowned looking at her. He sighed. "You're sick." He mumbled, reaching in and picking her up bridal style. Kasumi closed and locked the door before following. Tomoyo layed her on the sofa. "Do you have a fever?" He asked, concerned.

She stared at him. She could tell he didnt want to be here. Any other time she might have been thrilled to be in his arms, but right now all she felt was sadness. "Why are you here," she asked, now more awake and ignoring his question. She felt her anger start to rise. Who was he just to come marching back in on her life when he obviously didnt want anything to do with her. She sighed when she remembered Kasumi was there and kept her temper in check.

Tomoyo sighed. "Kasumi was worried about you. And just because I'm a little mad doesn't mean I don't care about you." He told her. "Now. Do you have a fever?" He asked, moving his hand to her forehead.

She felt the urge to pout and merely shrugged. "It doesnt matter. I'll be fine. You guys dont need to stay." She began to sit up on the couch so she could get off. "Thank you Kasumi for being worried, but Im fine." She felt slightly dizzy, but ignored the sensation. She was a good actress and knew how to continue the performance even if your body was feeling something different.

Tomoyo sighed. "Lay back and be quiet Adaa. You may be a pop star, singer, dancer, whatever. But you have a fever and I know you don't feel back." He told her, maybe a little too harshly. Kasumi stayed quiet. She rarely saw her brother like that.

She stared at him. "I dont believe you have any reason to be worried about my well being. How do you know if someone followed you or not? You dont know. It is because of my being popstar, singer, dancer, whatever that you shouldnt be here." She sucked in a breath and put her fingers to her temples. "Dont be here because you feel you have to. I know this is not where you want to be."

Tomoyo sighed and stood up. "You know what? You're right. I don't want to be here. You got my sister scared, a rumor floating around, I almost got arrested because of you, but at the same time I can't help but care for you. But whatever. You don't want my help fine. Come on Kasumi. Let's leave Miss Diva alone." He picked Kasumi up and walked away, slamming her front door behind him.

"Thats exactly what I want," she murmured when they left. It had hurt saying those things to him, but it was for the best. Now maybe he would feel so torn. Sighing she stood from the couch. A wave of dizziness passed over her and she threw out a hand to steady herself, but nothing was there. She fell down to the ground, and all her energy spent just stayed there.

Tomoyo could feel his heart ripping as he put Kasumi in the back seat, and then drove to the restaurant. Where he worked the hardest he ever had just to make the pain go away. Even for just a moment.

She woke up some hours later on the floor. It felt that her fever had gone down, but she wasnt sure. She was able to drag a blanket off the couch and curled up where she lay to fall back in to oblivion. Then, maybe then, she could outrun the pain she was feeling.

Days passed, and Kasumi had been playing in the office. Tomoyo came in to find her on the ground, electricity wires that hadn't been out were now out and Kasumi laying there on the floor lifeless. Tomoyo ran to her and cried, hugging her lifeless body to himself. The ambulance got there but they'd all been too late. The funeral was days later, her death in the Obituary along with the time and day for the funeral. Tomoyo was dead inside....

((I thought it'd be dramatic... but I didn't really know how to describe it.... so yeah.... I know I wanted to cry too...))

Adaa didnt read the newspaper. She would rather get her news off the internet or talk radio, but her manager read it. They were in the car when he said out loud, "Hey isn't Kasumi the name of the girl who was related to the guy? It says her funeral is today." Adaa's face paled and she practically shouted what time. It was happening already, but she knew she had to get there. She had to make sure. It couldnt be Kasumi. Not little Kasumi. She kept her tears in check as she made her way to the church. Her manager was slightly bewildered, but aloud her to be dropped off at the cemetery where they were going to bury her. She happened to be wearing a black suit that day so she blended right in. She kept to the edge, not wanting to attract attention and gazed around trying to figure out if it really was Kasumi. Her eyes landed on Tomoyo and she knew. She felt her breaths clog in her throat and she turned, barely able to walk strait. She left the cemetery, she wasn't sure how she got home, but she arrived there and collapsed on the couch. The shock wore off soon enough and the tears came. She wanted Tomoyo so they could grieve together, but knew she wouldnt be welcome.

Tomoyo sobbed during and after the funeral. He didn't know how, but somehow he had stopped at Adaa's house. He had to at least tell her. He went to the door and wiped his eyes. He knocked on the door.

She heard the knock on the door and she answered it, not bothering to wipe the tears away. When she saw Tomoyo standing there she didnt bother thinking, but merely grabbed his sleeves and pulled herself to him to sob in his chest. During her crying she was able to explain that she saw it in the newspaper and went to the funeral to confirm.

"Im sorry. Im sorry," she kept repeating.

Tomoyo wrapped his arms around her, and sobbed as well, listening to her. He just nodded when she repeated that she was sorry. He was sorry too. He missed Kasumi so much. She had been one of the reasons why he got up in the morning. He did things just to make her smile and now she was gone.... His sweet sweet like Kasumi...

She sucking in her tears enough to lead him inside. She closed the door and brought him to the couch where she sat him down. "Have you eaten anything?" She looked him over and answered for him. "I can already tell you havent." She stood and made her way to the kitchen. She had some rice so she began to make rice gruel. It would be easy to eat and filling. She stood at the stove, wiping her still wet cheeks with the back of her hand. She just still couldnt believe it. She finished making it and brought a bowl of it over to Tomoyo. "Eat," She said, putting it down on the table in front of him. "Please. Eat."

Tomoyo wiped his tears as well, fighting back more tears. He sat down and shook his head though she answered for him anyways. She watched her make him something. He choked on tears and blinked them back when she came back and told him to eat. His lips quivered and nodded.
