Kiara looked from the stranger to Raina before glaring at the stranger.
"And as for you Kiara Knight," he turned on her and she was instanty on guard. "You are far too set on your ways. You do not look back enough to your family, to your Kuchiki blood."
'Huh?' she thought, rather brilliantly.

*I'll go watch the bleach episode where Shinji appears*

He lowered his gaze and Raina caught a glimpse of his eyes. Geass.
She gritted her teeth together. "Don't let him catch you out, Kiara, he's using geass!" What exactly was his geass? Could he read minds or something?
He clapped his hands. "Well done, you figured it out!"

(Okay!)

Kiara instinctivelymoved into a fightng stance as she stared at him. "Who exactly are you?" she growled. "We seeyour Geass so talk before I show you mine."

*Argh! Sorry, I can't. My mum caught me watching it and I'm not supposed to watch anime in the afternoon except the latest episodes... :(*

"You can... read minds?" asked Raina.
"Yes, yes, but where's Lulu - Lelouch?" said the man. "He's around here somewhere, I know..."

(That's okay)

Kiara looked at the strange guy as if he'd grown a second head.
"Lelouch isn't here right now," she said sarcastically. "You'll have to deal with us, now tell us your name!"
"So many questions..." the guys said. He sighs.

(His name is Mao right? I think I remember him kidnapping Nunally later right?)

*ya, but that's 2 episodes later. In this episode he challenges Lelouch to a game of chess, wins since he can read minds, then tries to get Shirley to shoot him, Shirley can't do it, Lelouch uses his geass to make Shirley forget everything, then Mao is about to shoot both of them when C.C. turns up and shuts him in a coach on the rail and sets it off down the mountain*

He turned to Shirley. "Lelouch isn't the only one who's been lying to you. You see these two? They're actually Black Knights, they work under Lelouch... or should I say, Zero?"
Dammit. He knew that Lelouch was Zero. That meant that he either had to be killed or made to forget this.

Kiara's eyes widened as he told Shirley this. She glanced around discretely, looking for any sign of Lelouch.
Shirley turned her eyes on them and Kiara winced. Her eyes strayed to the gun Shirley was carrying.
"Be ready to deflect the bullets," Kiara muttered as quietly as she could to Raina.

(Thanks, I'm proud of myself that I actually remembered his name! I'll need to rewatch these later episodes definitely. No hardship there though. Code Geass is awesome!)

*Tis indeed awesome ^^ And if you ever get stuck with the plot don't worry, because I know the whole thing off by heart. All 50 episodes :)*

"They... they've killed people too?" Shirley's voice was barely above a whisper.
"Yes, yes, they're terrorists," said the man. "They helped Zero kill your father! They should repent for their sins!"
Shirley nodded shakily and raised the gun.
"Shit, Shirley, calm down!" said Raina. "Yeah we're Black Knights, but put the gun down!"

"Just think for a minute!" Kiara told her. "If you shoot us then won't you be becoming what you're trying to kill? Won't you become a murderer? How will you avenge your father if you become a murderer?"

(I noticed. You're adicted to this anime aren't you?)
(Back in a bit, just gotta have dinner)

"I'm... already a murderer," said Shirley in the same tone. "So I'll kill you and Zero... Lelouch..., and then myself. We can all repent our sins together."
"You idiot!" said Raina. "You're letting him manipulate you!"

Kiara remembered the other bloodstain that Raina and Lelouch had told her about and winced.
"That probably wasn't the best thing to say," she muttered to Raina. Calling the crazy girl an idiot, not so good.
"Oh, they think you're crazy Shirley," the strange man told the orangette. Kiara cursed him in her head. "Language!"
Kiara growled at him.

"Please, please, just die!" Shirley shut her eyes tight and fired the gun three times.
Raina concentrated hard, and the bullets fell to the ground harmlessly.

(Kiara glared at Shirley and the strange man.
"That does it," she muttered. She didn't want to use her Geass yet so she pulled out one of the hidden blades that she always kept on her since she joined the Black Knights and rushed forwards at the strange man. As she moved to stab to the right he dodged effortlessly to the left.
"Ah, ah, ah," he chided her. "I can predict every move you make." She made to move to the left but he knew her move before she did and she found herself being kicked backwards towards Raina. She skidded to a halt on her back beside her friend.
"Damn it," she cursed as she got shakily to her feet.

"Go on then, use your geass," Raina urged. She looked at the gun in Shirley's hand, and it flew out of her reach. At least they wouldn't have to worry about that any more.
"Oh, we have another visitor!" said the man.
Raina turned to see Lelouch running towards them. "Who are you?" he asked the man.

(How many times have we asked him that question now? It's quite a lot and he still hasn't answered)

Kiara turned to Lelouch.
"Watch it!" she called. "He's got a Geass!"
"Aw!" the strange man cried to her. "You ruined my fun!"
"He has a Geass?" Lelouch asked as he stopped beside them.
"Yeah," she replied. "His geass...it let's him see inside our heads. I'd watch out for Shirley if I were you," she added. "She's already tried to shoot me and Raina already today."

"Tried to shoot you?"
"Hey hey hey, how about we have a game?" said the man, producing a chess piece from his pocket. "i hear you're good."
"Why would I do that?"
"If you don't I'll shoot all your friends here." He instantly produced a shotgun.

Kiara stared from Lelouch to this strange guy. He clearly wasn't right in the head.
"No need to be insulting," strange guy told her bluntly. She felt like being childish so imagined a face with the tongue sticking out and a hand giving him the one finger salute.
"I'll play," Lelouch muttered.
"I thought you would."

What was Lelouch thinking? There were three of them, all with geass. Was he not willing to take that tiny risk? She glared at the man out of the corner of her eye and he smirked at her. She didn't like the idea of someone being able to read her mind. Some thoughts were best kept private.
"Let's climb aboard the cable car, shall we?" he said.

Kiara glanced at the cable car that he pointed to and frowned before following the others. She glanced at Lelouch and Raina.
"I hope you know what you're doing," she muttered to him. Shirley was near them and Kiara glared at her although Shirley didn't notice. She blamed the orangette for this.

"OK, everyone, let's head on in," said the man. A chess board was already in place. Lelouch looked hard at it, and the man. Raina could tell he was putting his amazing mind to work - something he really shouldn't do in the presence of a mind-reader.

Lelouch moved a piece on the board and the man moved a piece of his own. Lelouch frowned and theman smiled. THe man could move Lelouch's moves.
"You still havne't told us your name," Kiara pointed out.
"Impatient as usual," the man said offhandedly.

(I can't remember any conversations at this point...you'll have to do it.)

Raina didn't know an awful lot about chess, but she could tell by Lelouch's expression that he was losing. Not surprising, really, considering his opponent could read minds.
After a while, the man moved one of his pieces forward and grinned. "Does this mean I win, then?"
The cable car came to a shuddering stop and the pieces scattered.
"Just who are you?!" Lelouch demanded.
"What? Didn't C.C. tell you?"
C.C.?
The man clapped his hands. "Amazing! One name and you instantly come up with fourteen theories as to who I am! And one of them's right too!"

Kiara looked at the strange man. So he knew C.C.? She frowned in thought as her mind tried to think. They were both Geass users so that was one connection.
"Oh don't bother," the strange man told erh. "You're no fun! I want Lelouch to figure it out! Hel already has. Question is, which one of your theories is the right one?"

Lelouch gritted his teeth angrily. The man pouted. "This is boring. You're no fun at all." The door opened. "All right then, just leave."
Was this a trick? Raina hesitated.

Kiara glared at the man. She didn't trust him one little tiny bit. He was clearly off his rocker and that made him unpredictable and definitely in the 'don't trust whatever you do' catagory.
"No need to be harsh," he chided her. "Go on!"
