C.C. appeared at the top of the stairs. She looked down at the Knightmare.
"Whassup with you guys?!" called Raina, who was still doing her victory dance. "C'mon let's celebrate!" She stopped. "Is this... about Suzaku being the Lancelot's pilot?"

Kiara glanced at Raina before her eyes focused on C.C. who was now walking down the stairs.
"Clear the area, all of you," she said calmly.
"Now wait just a minute," someone said, Kiara couldn't remember his name, "You can-"
"I can." C.C. replied smoothly. "Now, leave while I talk to Zero. Kiara and Raina may stay."
"Very well," Todou said, glancing curiously at C.C. before motioning for the four holy blades to folow him. They did so and slowl,y and reluctantly everyone else, including a very reluctant Kallen, exited the hanger.
Once the coast was clear C.C. turned back to the Knightmare and the still laughing Lelouch.

"Hey, Lelouch," called Raina. "Please don't go all crazy on us? Please?"

"Come on out Lelouch!" Kiara called "It's just us and C.C.! There's no one around to see your face!"
Still Lelouch didn't answer. Kiara growled in annoyance, now was NOT the time for Lelouch to break down. She turned to Raina. "Can you open it with your geass?" she asked. "I think we need to get him out of there."

"OKayyy," said Raina, focusing her gaze on the hatch of the burai. Her eye glowed, and it began to open.

As the hatch slowly lifted Kiara caught a glimpse of Lelouch hunched over. His mask had been removed as no one could see him in his Burai and he was shaking, still in hysterical laughter. It didn't look like he'd even noticed that the hatch had been opened.
"Alright," she muttered. "That's it."
She climbed up to where he was and proceeded to haul him out of the Knightmare.

Raina winced as she could see what was coming. C.C. stepped down from the stairs onto ground level and joined Raina.
"She's gonna hit him, she's gonna hit him," Raina chanted under her breath.

Kiara forcefully dragged Lelouch out of the Knightmjare and deposited him rather hard on the ground. He didn't seem to notice, He'd calmed down slightly and was now chuckling but he was still clearly in his own little world.
"Lelouch," she growled at him, no response. "That's it!"
She raised her hand and quickly slapped him upside the head. That seemed to grab his attention. He reached up and felt the area where she'd slapped him. "Finally calm?" she asked sarcastically. "Now, mind telling us what the mental break down was about?" she already knew that it was most likely about Suzaku but it never hurt to ask.

Lelouch was silent. He didn't meet anyone's eyes.
"It's Suzaku isn't it?" said Raina. She had calmed down now considerably. "You and him were BBFs weren't you?"
"I was going to ask him... to look after Nunally." Lelouch's voice was only barely audible.

Kiara winced, no wonder he'd had a fit.
"You were going to ask him to be her knight?" she asked. He nodded his head. Kiara sighed. It'd make sense that he'd wanna make Suzaku Nunally's Knight, If Suzaku was anything ti seemed that he was at least loyal, definitely to a fault but still he was loyal and he would've made a good gardian for Nunally.
"So" she asked. "What are you going to do about it?" he gave her a blank look. "The way I see it you have three options, either you use your Geass on him, you have him killed, which I somehow doubt you'll do, or you could leave things as they are and see how things go. I can garentee that the other black knights will want him killed or at the very least rendered harmless. He's a good Knightmare piolet and a threat."

"I won't have him killed and I won't use the geass on him."
"Why?" said C.C. "Because of your pride? Or because he's your friend?"
"Both."

Kiara breathed out an exasperated breath at Lelouch's words.
"You're hopeless," she muttered exasperatedly before turning to Raina. "I'd say we have maybe about another half an hour before the other Black Knights come looking for us and they'll want answers. You'd better think of something to tell them Lelouch."

"Everyone should ahve gone home for the night," said C.C. serenely. "We have until tomorrow." She turned to Raina and Kiara. "Leave him to me."
Raina remembered that it was C.C. who had helped Lelouch get over the death of Shirley's dad. She nodded, and grabbed Kiara's arm. "Let's go home, Ki. We've got homework to do."

"Alright," Kiara agreed reluctantly. "We'd better change first.!
She cast a longing glance down at her piolet suit before sighing and going to change. SHe came out wearing normal clothes and together she and Raina made their way back to Ashford Academy.
"Let's just hope C.C. can pull him out of that slump quickly," she muttered as they re-entered their room. "He's the leader of the Black Knights and if he has a breakdown then they won't be far behind."

"Well, it is kinda surprising, isn't it?" said Raina. "Who would've thought that the White-head was Suzaku?"
She pulled her homework out of her bag and set it out on the desk.

"True," Kiara replied. She pulled out her own homework and grimaced at it. She debated whether to set it on fire but dismissed the idea and instead settled down to actually do it. "It makes sense in a weird way though," she commented. "He was always dussappearing, a lot more than was really needed if he was only a mechanic like he said he was and he was always gone at the same time the Lancelot showed up."

"And we knew he was in the army..." said Raina. "Although he said he was just a mechanic. Everyone knows who he is now though."
She read over the tasks for her chemistry homework but took nothing in. She tried again, but still nothing.

"There's got to be a solution here besides killing him," Kiara pondered. "I mean, if we kill him at school then that'll make people suspecious and that's the last thing we need, the Brittanian millitary snooping around here. That'd put us, Kallen and Lelouch in danger, not to mention C.C."
She stabbed her pen irritadly on the page in front of her, the paper ripped under the force of the stab and she scowled in annoyance at the paper.

"I need to sleep on this," Raina sighed, closing her book. She had a quick shower before slipping into bed and setting the hated alarm.

"Same," Kiara muttered darkly. Before she knew it she was clinbing into bed, clutching her Toshiro plushie and closed her eyes.
"Maybe things'll be easlier in the morning," she thought out loud before slipping off to sleep.

The annoying beeping of the alarm clock woke Raina from her sleep and she slammed her hand down on it. Rubbing her eyes, she sat up, and her purple hair fell over her face.
"Ki...."

"I'm up Rai," Kiara muttered, almost tumbling out of bed but somehow managing to land on her feet. "I swear, when we finish here we are destroying that monstrosity they call an alarm clock!"

"Ki, did yesterday really happen, or was it all just a hallucination caused by my hangover?" Raina rubbed her eyes some more. Her hair was still a mess.

"It happened," Kiara replied dully. "And glad to see you finally admitted that you had a hangover. I WOULD say that that'll teach you but I know it won't."
She pulled on her uniform half heartedly. "I so don't need this today," she muttered darkly.

"Ah no way!" Raina clutched her head. "It just slipped out!!!" She dragged herself over to the mirror and sorted her hair before pulling on her school uniform.
