"Yeah," Kiara replied, both glad and annoyed that Lelouch had interupted. "We just got in today." She glanced at Suzaku who's attention was now focused on Lelouch. Lelouch turned to Suzaku. "Milly wants you, according to her it's nearly time for you to flip the pizza."
"Right!" Suzaku said hurriedly. He glanced at Kiara and Kallen for a moment before hurrying out of the room. As soon as he left Lelouch turned to Kallen. "There's an opening in the Haunted House. I had been coming to ask Raina to do it but since you haven't been asigned a job yet could you maybe help Kallen?"
"Um...usre," she replied, quickly stashing the knife so that Lelouch wouldn't see it. She hurried out of the room. When it was clear Lelouch whirled to stare at Kiara. "Why are you two in school?"
"Suzaku's not gunna turn us in," Kiara replied. "He said that he's not gunna give up on changing our minds about the Black Knights. Fat chance of that happening!" she snorted. SHe turned to the entrance. "You can come in now ya know Raina."

"I thought you guys had forgotten me!" said Raina, hopping inside. "Suzaku totally thinks I'm innocent. He thinks you're being a bad best friend and lying to me," she giggled.

"I know," Kiara said. "I mean, if I WAS trying to hide something I doubt I'd manage around you. You're too curious for your own good. Then again so am I so..." she trailed off. "Anyway," she turned to Lelouch. "Anything I can do? I know Raina's in the drama group for the day and I'd rather not have to join Kallen in the haunted house thing. They're always so lame..."

"They're short handed," said Lelouch. "You know what the President will do if things don't run smoothly."
"He's got a point there," Raina pointed out. "Anyway, I'll see you guys, I've gotta get back for the second showing of the pantomime." She left, practising her evil laugh.

"You know," Kiara commented. "There are times when I really wonder about her..."
"You're not the only one," Lelouch muttered. "She's about as hard to read as C.C. a lot of the time and that's saying something."
"Where are you headed?" Kiara asked curiously.
"I'm in charge of making sure that things are going alright," he replied.
"Well it'll give you some practice," Kiara pointed out. "And there's no life or death situations this time so some of the pressure is off."
"I supose," Lelouch replied before sighing. "You'll find C.C. on the roof if you're interested in talking to her. She's watching for the Pizza."
"There's a surprise," Kiara said dryly. "I don't think I will though. I'll look around to see if there's anything I can do."
"Alright," Lelouch answered before going to his comand booth thingy.

They went through the pantomime for a second time, but there was hardly anyone there because everyone was watching Suzaku toss the giant pizza base. When they had an audience of 0, they just stopped completely and went to watch the izza themselves. Raina noticed that Lelouch and Nunnally were talking to a girl with pink hair on the steps.

Kiara couldn't help grinning as she saw the gigantic pizza being tossed by the old Knightmare. Despite everything she had to admit that SUzaku was a good pilot, even with a Knightmare frame as old as that one he was handling it quite well. She glanced around her and noticed Lelouch and Nunally. She made her way over to them and it was then that the girl that they were talking to lost what was covering her face and hair. Her eyes widened as she caught sight of exactly who they were talking to.
'No way...' she thought. 'Is that?'
It was. It was Euphemia Li Brittania.
'This,' she thought as people began to notice. 'Is SO not good!'
She was already quite close to them so she hurriedly made her way over to Lelouch and Nunally before everyone could rush Euphemia. Suzaku had also noticed and apparently his concentration slipped and the pizza base went flying, landing on a tree. Kiara didn't pay much attention to that however as she reached the siblings.

The girl with the pink hair's hat and sunglasses had been blown off in the wind, and then suddenly the whole crowd was screaming, "It's Princess Euphemia!!!!" and running towards her. Raina carried on drinking her slushie. It was only the ugly princess with no taste in clothes, she thought. What was the big deal? Amid all the chaos, she saw Lelouch wheeling Nunnally to safety while the military present surrounded the princess, trying to protect her.
Suddenly the Ganymede's hand came down, and lifted the Pricness up. Raina rolled her eyes. Suzaku acting like a hero again.

Kiara managed to push her way out of the crowd behind Lelouch thankfully unnoticed as he wheeled Nunally away.
"Lelouch? What's happening?" Nunally asked, sounding worried.
"It's alright," Lelouch said reassuringly. "They just found out who Euphemia was and I had to get you out of there before you got hurt."
"Is she okay?" Nunally asked.
"he's fine," Kiara replied quickly. She turned around to see Suzaku lifting her out of the crowd. "Suzaku's got her."
"That's good," Nunally replied happily. They were now in the small area where Lelouch had been before this whole thing started and they had a good view of Suzaku, the Ganymede and Euphemia who was standing on the palm of the outdated Knightmare's hand.
"Everyone please listen!" Euphemia called out. The crowd hushed at the sound of her voice and Kiara fought not to roll her eyes at the pinkette's behaviour. "I would like to make an announcement! Please gather as many cameras and media representatives here as possivle!"
"What is she thinking?" Lelouch muttered so Nunally couldn't hear.
"I don't know," Kiara muttered back. "But I don't like this." She glanced around, trying to catch sight of Raina but there were so many people she wasn't sure where to look and she didn't want to call attention to herself by shouting even though it was unlikely people would notice. They were all too focused on the annoying princess to notice her, Lelouch and Nunally.

"Can you broadcast this throughout the area?" the princess asked.
"Live?"
"Yes. I have an announcement! By Mount Fuji, we plan to create a Special Administrative Zone of Japan! In this area Numbers and Brittanians will be treated equally, and the Elevens will regain their names as the Japanese."
"Brittannia's acknowledging Japan's existence?" the straw of her slushie fell out of Raina's mouth.

Kiara's eyes widened at Euphemia's words. She couldn't be serious? There was NO WAY taht the pureblooded Brittanians would accept this!
"Euphemia..." Lelouch muttered. Kiara's head whipped around to see that his eyes were fixed on Euphemia who was smiling brightly down at everyone.
"Isn't that great Lelouch?" Nunally said happily. "I meanm that would stop the fighting wouldn't it?"
Lelouch didn't respond and Kiara didn't either. "Lelouch?" Nunally asked, worried. How did they answer her?

The media instantly began to press the princess for more details and she answered all of their questions with a bright smile on her face.
Raina eventually got tired of listening to this and headed towards the dorm.

"I'll see you later Lelouch," Kiara said. "I'd better go and find Raina."
She managed to slip out without being seen and quickly made her way towards her down room. She was unsurprised to see Raina there when she entered. SHe walked over and sat on her bed beside her plushie.
"So," she said. "How much do you think this is going to affect our plans? This is going to cause a LOT of trouble for the Black Knights! I mean, something like this could cause some of our members to desert if it means no more fighting..." Her mind flashed to Ougi for some reason.

"It's not a bad thought," said Raina. "She is promising equality, and it can be achieved legally. But how can we trust her? And is there any value in a nation handed to us on a silver platter?"

Kiara leaned back on her bed and thought about Raina's words.
"You're right about that," Kiara replied. "People want their freedome but do we really deserve it if we don't fight for it? I mean, sure we'd get equality and that's something that shouldn't be just thrown away because we're pick but still..." she trailed off. "I don't think she's lying at least," she finally said after a minute. "Even if she is annoiying I think taht Euphemia is at least telling us the truth about what she plans to do. Whether it'll actually work or not remains to be seen though."

"Euphemia probably believes what she's saying," said Raina. "But she's just a puppet princess, it's her brothers, sisters, and father who are really in charge. They could just be using her. If we were to join this SAZ, we'd have to surrender all our weapons."

"True," Kiara replied. "And I doubt a lot of people will be happy about that. I know I wouldn't giove up my blades for anything." she flicked her wrist and one of them shot out of the hidden sheath and she began to play with it absently before putting it away again with a sigh. "It all depends on Lelouch now I guess."

"Whether we participate or not, it's the end for the Black Knights," said Raina, stretching out on her bed.

"If this actually works," Kiara added. She sighed. "There'll probably be a meeting about this pretty soon. Lelouch is gunna wanna see what people think, get a feel for what the others think about this and how best to handle it."

"Lelouch has always done his own thing," Raina argued. "he's gonna beat himself up over this to decide on the best option by himself."

"Well if he makes a stupid decision then we'll just need to beat him out of it and then convince him to do something else," Kiara replied simply. She turned over and looked at the clock. It was still too early to go to bed so waht should they do? She didn't want to go out into that stupid crowd of people again all gazing up at the pink haired princess.

"Let's go watch a couple hundred episodes of Bleach," said Raina. "That's gotta cheer us up a bit."

"Sure," Kiara replied. "I could use some anime, it always helps."
She stretched before moving off the bed. She thought for a moment before she grabbed her Toshiro plushie. "Let's head to the council room. The TV in there's the biggest and it'll give us the best picture."

"Deal." Raina reached under her bed and pulled out the entire first 50 episodes on DVD. "I stole it from Shirley," she explained.

Kiara grinned before she dragged Raina and the DVDs to the council room where she quickly set up the DVD player and placed a DVD inside. She made sure that it was in the original Japanese and not the translated rubbish that so many preferred before pressing play, sitting back and relaxing.
