@ Cranky Toast: I judge the cards by what they can do, not what they look like. For example, one of me favorite cards looks like an overgrown booger. I'm not kidding! It's called Mucus Yolk, and I love it's effect; it can attack directly, and every time it attacks directly it gains 1000 ATK points! Couple that with Swords of Revealing Light or Swords of Concealing Light, and you've got yourself a 3000-4000 ATK monster in no time flat!

@ Mirani: YGO and Star Wars...how would that work? And YGO/Eragon too. I can YGO/Bones, because they're in the same realm. I'm assuming that YGO/Star Wars and YGO/Eragon would work best if they were AU.

Well with the YGO/Eragon one it roughly happens after the ceremonial duel and Yami and Kaiba are transported to Eragon's world and become dragon riders and their signature monsters are reborn as their dragons, that's the rough idea I came up with for that.
For the YGO/Star Wars basically while Anakin is still in training he and Obi-Wan are out on patrol in a ship but it goes WAY off course and into Hyperspace and they're about to crash but they land on Earth. They discover that Anakin is meant for the Millennium Scales (cuz you know, he's suposed to be all about Balance) and if I remember right I was gunna give Obi-Wan the Key and Yami and Kaiba would go with them to try and help sort things out and Bakura would speak aboard the ship (although Kaiba would only go to keep his rivalry with Yami alive)

I might check that out then. Sounds like SOMEBODY took a wrong turn....

I haven't written any of these out unfortunately. I've already got enough on my plate with my Harry Potter/Bleach crossover and my Harry Potter/Yugioh crossover (which I haven't updated in AGES and I need to redo cuz there are SO many mistakes and stuff!!!!!)I've got a lot of crossover ideas but I doubt I'll write them all. I started a crossover fanfiction thread in the media section if you wanna discuss different crossovers ;) :)

I love Yu-Gi-Oh! I've watched it from the very beginning, a few years ago. I've even watched the Abridged Series. I unfortunately missed the episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds this morning, though. D:

I haven't seen the Abridged series but an old friend has some funny quotes on his phone and sent them to me. I was laughing my ass off when I listened to them. One of them was the part where Yugi sets up Yami and Tea/Anzu on a date and the other one was from a duel between Kaiba and Yami. I've still got them on my phone actually :XD

Oh, I love the date scene! The first moment Yugi swaps with Yami without warning him was hilarious.

Yami: Ack! Yugi! Warn me next time! *looks up and sees Anzu* Oh, hello.
Anzu: *sweatdrop*

-grins- Yes it WAS very funny and the abridged version is even funnier!!!!!!!! I was in hysterics when I first heard it! Even though I don't much like filler episodes or Anzu much I LOVED that moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I kinda like the filler episodes. ESPECIALLY the Orechalcos ones! When I get to that story arc in my fanfic, there's soooo much I want to add in to make it darker and more entertaining. :twisted:

Okay, gotta agree there since that arc IS my all time favourite!!!!!!!!! I REALLY need to read the manga at some point but whne it comes to Manga I just keep putting off reading them...I can follow the anime easier even though I've been told that the manga is quite different.
Which dragon was your favourite during the filler? I LOVED Timaeus! He was definitely my favourite followed by Critius (not sure if I'm spelling these right or not...) and Raphael was my favourite 'bad guy' in that series although I have to say he wasn't really that evil, none of them were, just misguided by Dartz.

Dartz was my favorite bad guy. One of my favorite parts--and go ahead and call me sadistic if you like--was when Yami was coerced into playing the Seal of Orechalcos! I didn't much like Yugi losing his soul though. That was depressing. And, according to an episode guide, in the Japanese version Jonouchi (Joey in English) PUNCHED Yami in the face! Now I've GOT to see the Japanese version if they left out stuff like that!

the orechalcos series is my fav series of yu-gi-oh. i just find it brilliant when the good guy turns bad for a couple of eps.

I LOVED that part!!!!!!!!! :shock: He punched Yami??? Gotta see that!!!!!!!! Although it shows that he was a typical hot head cuz it was still technically Yugi's body and if he'd damaged it then that could've been problamatic for getting Yugi back. I'll admit that at the part where Yugi was going I was almost crying. I don't even know WHY I was crying cuz there was no way they were gunna kill off Yugi but it still happened!!!!!!!
According to a friend of mine the original Yu-Gi-Oh can be borderline Shounen-ai sometimes and another friend said that in the English one they alter things slightly to make it more 'kid-friendly' -snorts- That's 4Kids for ya, always ruining good shows with their crappy translations!

I seriously wish they'd do a re-make of Yu-Gi-Oh that follows the manga super close (BUT DON'T GET RID OF THE ORECHALCOS!!!), like what they've done with Fullmetal Alchemist and Hellsing. And have Funimation dub it, not 4kids. Funimation is actually really good at getting the English and Japanese words as close as possible (though, there are going to be some changes between the translations because of language differences, and the English voice-actors need to voice it so that the lip flaps and the words match up), despite the differences. I mean, something that may take a few words in Japanese may take a few more in English, and something that takes one or two words in English may take an entire sentance in Japanese.

I agree with you there! I've heard that the manga is a lot better than the anime. Why is that exactly? Is there more character development or something? Or is it just that 4Kids dumbed down the dubbed version so much? -growls- 4kids should NEVER be allowed to dub anime!!!!!!!!!!!!!They ruin it!!!!!!!!

4kids didn't do as good a job as they could have. Though if Funimaton was to re-dub YGO, keep the voice actors who dubbed it originally! I seriously love the voices they found for the characters! And yes, the manga is way better than the anime; more character development, it shows how Yugi and his friends got so close, and the FIRST meeting of Yami and Kaiba! That was WAAAAY better in the manga than it was in the anime! Then of course there was Death-T; that was SOOOOO good and should've been in the anime! Kaiba was one hell of an evil piece of work!

I've heard of that I think. I think that was shown in the series "Yu-Gi-Oh Zero" which was never dubbed. I never watched it though.
I have to say I loved the voice acter that did Yugi and Yami's voices. They were really well done and I can't imagine Kaiba with another voice acter, I just can't! Same with Bakura!

Which Bakura? And I think Yugi and Yami were done by the same voice actor. I can't imagine any of the characters with different voice actors to be totally honest. They nailed them!

Both really. Both Bakura and Ryou's voices were done brilliantly! Yeah it was the same voice acter. I know cuz I recognised his voice from another dubbed show that I watched and I noticed that it seemed to go between Yami and Yugi like voices sometimes. The character's name was Skye.

Actually the show was originally Itallian but the first time I saw it I was SURE that it was anime cuz of the eyes.....I can't believe I'm admitting this but when I was younger I used to watch Winx Club. And I'm a HUGE tom boy at heart! I liked it though, even of 4Kids DID take away a lot of the character development!!!!!!!
