Complicated is based loosely off of the hit Korean(?)/Filipino show, He's Beautiful.
This is the ooc/profile thread for Complicated. While complicated has not been made into an actual role play yet (We're still recruiting) I wanted to have a place to store the profiles we already have. That and it saves me the trouble of making the ooc thread later.
Recruiting thread: Complicated
Thread: Coming soon

Lead Guitarist
Oh, me? I’m not anyone important. I’m a Korean Immigrant, half Korean and half American (You can probably guess which parent was which.) I get my looks from my mother; good thing, too, because daddy even said he wasn’t much of a looker.
Personality wise, I’m a very shy person. I hate being in the spotlight, but that doesn’t change my passion for music, and its not going to keep me off the stage.
Okay, so I kind of lied- I’m someone. I’m the lead guitarist (and, to date, the only girl) in a band called Hey Romeo, and we’ve gotten to be pretty big. I let the guys deal with all that publicity stuff, their fan base is bigger then mine anyways. I’m still kind of the odd duckling when it comes to this being famous stuff, but that’s okay with me. The guys are more then comfortable enough with it to compensate for me.
You’re probably wondering how we all ended up getting together and forming our band. It kind of started with me and Neal, when I first came to America. I was kind of the shy new girl, and he was older then me, but he was super nice to me and we became fast friends. I was lucky Neal came along- I’d probably have been alone for the rest of my life had he not broken the ice. Anyways, he opened the way for the others to join us; he was the one who began talking on the fieldtrip and when we went to the park, and he was the one who gave up his ice cream cone, and then there was that cake fight when we were eight…. Neal started that one, I only jumped in after they smashed cake into my hair.
Anyways, that’s the past of me and my boys, and the rest is history. My life minus the boys is nothing special- I immigrated here when I was six. My mom stayed behind, since we only had enough money for one of us to go, and sent me to live with my father, who was a part-time photographer and spent the rest of his time as a fitness trainer in a gym. We never saw much of each other; if we said more then three words to each other in a week, it was a miracle. Mom passed away when I was 12; that tore me apart. She was supposed to come and visit us the next year. That’s when I began to bury myself in my music. Dad died when I was 17, and its been me and the guys ever since.
When its just us, I’m actually a really relaxed person. I like watching football games on the couch (Which has been upgraded to comfier and comfier couches several times over the two years our band has been something big) and cheering like a maniac when a team makes a touchdown (I don’t care which team, really. The guys pick on me for that one. That and I always manage to spill the popcorn bowl…. Personally, I blame Neal for that one.) I also like going and scarfing down greasy fast food with my boys and generally just having fun (We frequently terrorize any roller rinks and bowling alleys in whatever town we‘re in for the week). I spend a lot of time making sure everyone is okay (I’m one of the most mature of the group, even though I’m one of the youngest) and do things from making sure they don’t over eat (or in some cases, over drink) to chasing away the occasional rabid fan girl. I know I shouldn’t worry so much about them, they are big boys after all, but I guess I’m just too used to it. I worry so much sometimes that I literally get sick.
Oh, about my name- its pronounced Kay-enn. And it’s not my real name. My birth name is Ka-In, but my dad didn’t know how to spell it (And neither did I, I wasn’t that brushed up on my English alphabet when I first came here) so he spelled it Kayen. He pronounced it like my birth name, but a teacher called me Kayen and it just stuck.
Likes Sweet things, playing her guitar, listening to music while hanging upside down (usually from her bed or a couch), reading, hanging out, fuzzy socks, cooking, dancing, eating (everyone wonders where she puts it all  ) and sleeping in
Dislikes waking up early, being in the spotlight, fancy dresses, being lied to, and being taken advantage of.

the lead role (AKA the lead singer)Cocky. Oh, you wanted more? Hmmm. Intelligent, fast on my feet, and sly. I'm your typical definition of a mastermind. I'm sexy (don't hate me), charming, and I always get what I want. Okay, not always, but I do love to push buttons and misbehave. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a player. I'm a flirt, but once I've snagged a mate, I'm loyal like a wolf to its pack. But for as chill and laid back as I am, I do get hot-headed and hurt at times. I guess underneath my evil heart lies a gentleman just waiting to emerge. I'm a 'hold the door open for you,' kind of guy. But shhhhh, I have my secrets. For example, I steal from people (literally) and I'm also caught up in the wonderful world of singing. Who would have thought? Me, Neal Hunter Gillette, a singer? Ha, you didn't see that twist coming, did you?
As far as my past, I grew up living a great life. And by grade I mean I was too damn smart for my own good so I skipped second, third, and forth grade. Yeah, there I was a little 'first grader' living it up with the fifth graders. It's all good though. I still hung with my friends (meaning the ones around my age) and I had this adorable friend that lived next door. The two of us would go places together. The doctors to get our shots (I screamed like a freaking baby, she never cried and held my hand), the gas station (we used to pester our babysitter to take us there to get ice cream on a stick), and of course the park (the best memory there was when we were acting like chickens and someone through bread at us). Anyways, more joined in our little group - one shared out babysitter, another we met on the bus going on a field trip, we meant one of them at an ice cream parlor (he dropped his ice cream so I give him mine), and then the last two Kayen and I met at a birthday party (the four of us ended up starting a cake fight... oops!). Yeah, I was such a cute kid then. A real troublemaker!
Oh so about my personal life. Mother is a workaholic for a fashion line she designs clothes for. Father works with congress so I never really see him all that much. He used to be a police officer, but he changed jobs. Said it was an investment in my future. Yay. Now I never see him. Great investment, dad. With Hey Romeo being famous now, mother decided to design all our sick clothes so if you're diggin' our style, she's the lady to see. Just don't hit on her or dad will arrest you.
Likes manipulating people, being deceptive, reading, learning, tinkering, acting, writing, singing, messing around
Dislikes getting caught, being kept on a short leash, and being told 'No'

Grew up as a pretty spoilt kid, but didn't let it go to his head; Andrei was born in Russia and spent most of his childhood there. At Age Six, Andy moved with his parents to America. He grew up in America and ended up quite popular in School. He had one girlfriend during this time, but it didn't work out and they broke up. He took up playing the Keyboard to pass the time at home when he wasn't at school. His little baby sister, Zhanna, was born when Andy was age 16. He loves her loads <3 He ended up getting very talented at the Keyboard, and suddenly turned his interests to music, secretely wishing to become part of a band at some point. Years passed as he grew better at the Keyboard and learning about using the Synthesizer (Something he also is quite good at); and Andrei soon developed as the Keyboardist for the popular band called Hello Romeo, consisting of Andy's best friends from his childhood.
Likes Hugs, Christmas, Pelmeni (Russian pastry dumplings filled typically with meatballs.), Vodka (Even though he isn't supposed to drink as much as he does XD), His little sister and Gaming
Dislikes Rude People, Nighttime (He hate sleeping XD), Fire and Horror Movies (When around his friends, He'll act like he loves Horror Movies and watch them and stuff; but he'll get frightened so bad he won't be able to sleep that night; or even the next night XD)

Hoss as he likes to be called was a military brat. Jumping around from base to base. While he was young he never had stable friends but after his father died in action it changed. His mother found him and her a nice spot in NYC. Hoss was now a young man 16 years in age. Money wasnt so tight after he got a part time singing job. Soon he had his own band and was on top. When his mom died when he was 19 he fell off the musical face of earth. Truth of it was that he left the country got a new band to play with but he will not sing anymore. So he picked up some sticks and started drumming.

(Yeah, I've been around the block far too many times, I guess. After my parent's divorce, right after my 7th birthday, things really started going downhill for me. Thank god for good friends and good music. I met Neal and Kayen early on, me being the 3rd in the group of our friends. I was thankful to know them 2 years after the divorce because they really helped me find my steady ground. Of course, I was the one who met them at the ice cream parlor after dropping an ice cream cone all over. So nice of them to come make me feel better. I was always a klutz then, and definitely can be now.
My parents? Well, parent. I don't consider that woman my mother. She was the first to get custody, and the fastest to give me up when the going got rough. I got passed around like a joint in a cirlce of hippies. Puff puff, and pass. I moved from mom, to Aunt Sharon, to Grandma and Grandpa, then finally my dad, who I have been with for the past years before the band got big.
We started off just playing music, making friends with a few people, like Hoss, the greatest drummer I have ever met, and Andy, our synth genius. We also have the newest addition to our group, a very pleasant second guitarist. Of course, no one can compare to our girl Kayen. She is the shit. Me? I play bass, and if you ask anyone, I'm pretty good at it, though.. I could definitely be better. Neal is a kickass vocalist, but eh, I've heard better. He is too cocky sometimes, really forgets the others of the group sometimes.
I'm a part of the band, Hey Romeo, and over the last few years, things in our lives really got good. We are famous now, and even though I'm in the spotlight, I don't feel appreciated enough, thanks to Neal's massive ego- I mean, fan base. But me and my bass? We are the closest of friends. I put my bass on a pedestal, sure, but other than that, I only have Hey Romeo to lean on. Life has gotten a lot better over the past few years, thank goodness. I have good friends, a better life, and good music to keep me living a happy, successful life.)
Likes (music, coffee, solitaire, his bass, purple and blue, nighttime, rainy days, gobstoppers, lemonade, being accepted.)
Dislikes (not getting any attention, being ignored, tea, super bright sunny days, pink and green, his mother.)

Me, huh? Nothing special really, I play second guitar for Hey Romeo and I sing back-up vocals. As far as personality wise goes, I suppose I can come off as a bit cold to some people...alright, I know someone laughed when they heard that, I just know it, I'm betting it was Neal. Fine, correction, I come off as cold and unfriendly to almost everyone. The only exceptions being my bandmates, and that's only an occasional occurrence.
I suppose some background information should be told as well. Like Kayen I'm an immigrant, but Japanese, not Korean. Unlike Kayen, I'm full Japanese. I lived in the States for a few years beginning from when I was about 8. That's when I met the rest of the guys and Kayen. Neal is to blame for that, as he is to blame for most things, though I digress. I went back to Japan for a while after I turned 11. I picked up on the guitar there and brought my hobby back with me to the States when I turned 16.
As for problems with our "fame" as everyone calls it... We play music, people like it, everyone's happy. It's a win-win situation. My fan-base is decent, as most of ours are.
When I was a kid, I was picked on a lot when I first moved to the States since I was the skinny pretty boy. It never really got to me, I was able to dispel of those silly notions rather quickly. I guess I bullied the bullies in a sense...what a lame joke. I can't believe I even uttered those words...
Ah, it seems I have failed to mention my parents at all in my little biography. They're both loving parents and very supportive. There's not much to talk about there unless you want to hear about every little detail about me growing up, And I'm sure you can live without that information.
Likes Cats, Kiiroitori, his hometown, sky-watching, light rain, rain during a sunny day, listening to music while staring out the window, daydreaming, among other things.
Dislikes: Fish and other stuff I can't think of at the moment/don't care enough to mention.

LOL I changed her age to 20 already, since Neal was waaaay older then her when she was 18. 19 would be a good medium XD It would be cute if she was the youngest but one of the most mature.
Kayen: "Neal, what did I tell you about putting gummy worms in your nose?"
Neal: "But Ace dared me to!"
Kayen: *sigh* "Neeeeaaaaaaal."
