Tomoya was glad that she seemed happy and comfortable now. It'd been his goal. He bit his lip. "Want to go to the zoo today Mesa?" He asked.

"Sure!" Mesa smiled as she looked up at Tomoya happily. She didn't remember much of her one visit to the zoo though she had watched commercials on TV for it and thought it might be a fun place since they also had like an arcade and other attractions there other then the all too cute animals that she adored.

Tomoya nodded with a smile, and continued. He was glad. He looked at the time. He figured they'd leave at twelve. So one more show for her.

Mesa giggled and laughed as her favorite funny show came on though she wasn't laughing like she usually would... normally she would be laughing a full laugh and some of the stuff she would laugh so hard her face would turn red and she wouldn't be able to breathe... though... this show was also the show they all watched together... Her, Tomoya, and their parents. Their father used to be the one to make her laugh so hard she couldn't breathe by making funny background sounds or saying what that person thought at the time or what the people around that person thought... the comments were gone now so she wasn't laughing like that... not now...

Tomoya grimaced. He was thinking what she felt. He turned the pizza off. He couldn't stand to watch that show for another minute. Too many memories. "Time to go." He told her, picking her up and standing up.

"Okay!" Mesa smiled up to Tomoya and pulled her arms around his neck hugging him as he picked her up and held her. To him she probably weighed nothing and truthfully she didn't weigh that much... under weight actually though not malnourished.

Tomoya carried her to the bus stop. The bus took them all the way across town to the zoo. At the zoo, Tomoya managed to let them be entered for free (some hypnosis he'd learned) and then put her down. He held Mesa's hand. "What do you want to see first?"

"THE SEALS!" Mesa squeaked happily after a minute of thinking and looking around then at the little map they had given Tomoya and her to look at to get around the zoo and not get lost.

Tomoya looked through the map to see where they would see the seals. He nodded. They'd have to go around the whole park and see other animals before the Seals, but she'd be able to see the seals. He picked her up so that he wouldn't lose her, and moved her onto his back, like he was giving her a piggy back ride, and began towards the directiosn of the seals.

Mesa giggled as she was picked up and looked around smiling at the animals and would sometimes point at the ones she liked or thought looked funny. If she had her tail out it would be wagging so fast it would really be funny and cute especially with her on Tomoya's back. She had her arms around her brother neck so she wouldn't slip or fall off easily and would turn her head to look whenever someone would bump into them and cause her to loos her grip slightly.

Tomoya held on tightly. He actually laughed and smiled when Mesa pointed at different animals. He was so glad she was having a good time. It touched his black heart.

("It touched his black heart" NICE! XD It can't be that black since her loves his fam X3 )

Mesa continued to giggle and when they came up to the seals she squealed happily and pointed to a small white one "THAT'S SOOO CUTE!!!" she exclaimed happily as the seal dove into the water and swam so it was closer to them and popped it's head up making Mesa giggle more.

Tomoya put her down and nudged her close. He crouched down and whispered in her ear. "Touch him." He was encouraging her.

"But? Won't we get in trouble? See! There's a sign that says no touching the animals outside of the petting zoo..." Mesa said looking at her brother frowning slightly not liking the idea of getting in trouble. She was always the good kid... almost always anyway.

"Shhhh." Tomoya whispered. "Just one touch won't hurt." He whispered still, and nudged her closer. He honestly didn't see the harm in her petting the Seal for just a moment.

Mesa frowned for a long second then looked back at the seal and hesitantly petted it's head when it nudged closer to her. She giggled and pulled her hand back as it dove back into the water and no one seemed to notice the action in the least.

Tomoya grinned. "See. Aren't you glad you bent the rules for a moment?" He asked, picking her back up. He planned on stopping at a bathroom so that she could wash her hands.

Mesa thought for a moment then smiled and nodded though inside she knew she didn't like to brake the rules. She thought of what she had been taught her whole life about rules being there for a reason and it wasn't good to brake rules... only bad kids broke rules and she wasn't a bad kid at all.

Tomoya took her to the bathrooms and put her down. He told her to wash her hands and then left to wash his own hands too.

Mesa nodded as she went into the girls room and washed her hands then a woman saw her. "Honey? Are you here alone? where's you mother? Or the person that brought you?" she asked softly as Mesa was looking out of the bathroom looking for Tomoya before she would come out. "My mommy and daddy aren't here... not anymore... my big brother is... he brought me.." she whimpered tears coming to her eyes when she thought of her mother and father who would never come home... who were gone and she would never see again... The woman was a security person in the park so it was her job to ask... though she didn't expect this answer. When Mesa saw Tomoya she ran over to him and immediately reached up for him to pick her up tears still coming down her cheeks.

Tomoya had washed his hands quickly and was waiting for Mesa. He didn't expect to see her crying when she came out. He lifted her up into his arms and looked at her. "Why are you crying Mesa?" He asked, concerned. If someone had made her cry, he'd go and hurt them. No matter the gender.

"I'm... I'm sorry sir that would be my fault... I just asked if she had someone with her... her mother maybe... did... did you just loos your parents?" The woman said softly looking upsetted that she had made Mesa cry. Mesa whimpered and berried her face in Tomoya's chest sniffling and hiccuping as she cried softly.

Tomoya looked harshly at the woman, stroking Mesa's hair. "I don't believe that's any of your buisness. Next time, try wording the question differently." He spat at her, walking away now. He cooed comforting words to Mesa, trying to calm her down.

Mesa cried for a little while longer then started to calm down and her cries and whimpers reduced to hiccuping and clinging to Tomoya more. "Don't put me down please Toma." she whimpered softly her face still in his chest slightly and tears still sitting on her cheeks.

Tomoya didn't put her down. He didn't want to. He held her closer now. He felt awful. he wished he had never taken her to the zoo. It'd been a bad idea he regretted.
