Sandra felt the nudge in her sleep, but only cuddled closer. Half awake she mumbled. "Five more minutes...." She was just tired from a long day, and being half awake made her think she was at home asleep instead of on a plane landing and leaning against a guy she met only hours before, but was going to tour the world for the love of music. A lot to forget right? Well, it was in her brain, the part that hadn't woken up yet. Most likely a bad thing, for Elliot anyways. She cuddled a little closer, before hearing a captains announcement. Yawning, she sat up and stretched, her brain fully intact now. She couldn't believe that she'd slept throughout the entire ride to england. That was a pretty long nap. She felt bad for Elliot, just knowing she'd probably leaned on him. Sighing, she took off her seat belt, her eyes taking a couple of minutes to adjust to being awake and alert now.

Elliot almost smiled at the sight of the half-asleep girl. She reminded him of Ashley. They both said and did strange things when they were only partly in the awoken world. Elliot stood and stepped into the aisle to pull down their carry-on's from the compartment above. Around him people were rising and the hall was soon completely filled.

Elliot took Sandra's belongings and handed them to her. "
Here," he said. When she grasped them and held them herself, he took down his own bags, slinging them on his back. Together they waited for the crowd to thin and soon they stepped off the plan. It was a long, large tunnel before coming out into an opening. An opening that had a ton of signs and different people milling about. It wasn't different at all from the airports in Vancouver or Detriot. Aside from the British accented voices coming from the speakers above, of course.

Elliot gripped his cases tight in his hands. His family wasn't going to pick him up. He wasn't going to see them. Now what did they do? Catch a taxi to the closest hotel? He glanced over at Sandra. "
Well, now what?"

Sandra stood up slowly and stretched some more. It felt so good to stretch and be awake. Though she hardly wanted to be awake. She rubbed her eyes and took her bags from Elliot. She smiled at him. "Thank you." She got everything situated comfortably, and then walked with him out of the plane. She led him to the spinny things and grabbed her bags when they came. It was after she had all her things that he asked what they should do. She shrugged, looking around. "Well. I suggest we go to a hotel. We should get situated and then go out or something. Maybe room service.... I'm starving... Do you think it'll be cold outside? I hate the cold..." She rambled on, not on purpose. She tended to do that sometimes when she was lost in thought. Shaking her head, she headed towards the doors and walked out. The cold wind bursting against her. She shivered and looked for a taxi. She nodded towards it for Elliot and ran over, not caring to look if any cars were coming. Luckily, she was good and no cars came. Though it might've scared a few onlookers. She knocked on the taxi's window and made him pop the trunk. He came out and helped her with her bags. She looked over at Elliot a few times, just to make sure he was there. He was a quiet fellow... "Hey. I would like to meet your family while we're here." It was the least she could do for him....

Elliot froze, hand stretched out to place his bag in the trunk. He wanted to keep his carry-on with him at all times, but not his suitcase. His clothes were hardly as important as his bass and other items. Sandra wanted to meet his family? No, that wouldn't do. It would hurt him too much to drop in, say hello, then leave again. If he saw them he'd want to stay forever. "No, I don't really want to," he told her.

Closing the trunk, Elliot climbed into the passenger seat of the taxi. The driver was a white guy, nice looking, although he smelled of cigarette smoke. When he smiled his teeth flashed yellow and crooked. "'ello, where to?"

"Is there a hotel nearby. A nice one?" With room service. But any 'nice' hotel would have that.

The taxi driver tilted his head side to side and did a little humming and hawing before answering. "There's'a Hilton jus' a few blocks o'way."

"Perfect." Elliot had more than enough money to afford a room there. It wasn't like the Hilton chain was horribly expensive. And they were nice and clean too. Not gross, dingy inns. The taxi driver started up his car, a small little Toyota, and their journey began.

Sandra blinked and stared at Elliot, surprised. She couldn't believe that he didn't want to go see his family. Sighing, she just nodded and got in the back. She was surprised that Elliot took the front. Who got in the front of a taxi? She didn't bother buckling up and looked out the windows, glad to be in the warm. She looked at the british man, the accent was very annoying. Well, on that particular guy because he had a sort of high pitched voice. It annoyed the crap out of her. Forcing back a glare she looked out of the window again. To the Hilton Hotel it was. The very beginning of one long tour of the beautiful world outside the US. This was going to be fun, she could feel it. She could just tell that they would meet interesting people and make friends, and start up a really cool band. She just couldn't wait.

The taxi stopped out front of the hotel and Sandra got out. She grabbed all her bags from the trunk. She was lucky her talent was strapped onto her and couldn't be taken off. Inside the hotel was pretty cool, and it was nice and warm. She looked around, her shoes clanking against the floor. It was quiet, though there was voices and people around. She walked with Elliot to the front desk and let him do all the talking. He was like her spokesman or something....

The lady behind the counter was a pretty brunette. Her hair was long and thick and it curled around her shoulders. When she looked up at him she smiled a perfect pearly white smile. Elliot's timid one was barely a candle flame to her roaring fire. "Hello! How may I help you?"

"Um, hi, we were wondering if we could rent two rooms for the night." Were they going to stay longer? He'd just tell the lady in the morning before check-out if that were true. The woman smiled again, told him the amount, and he handed her his debit card. After a moment or two he was given back his card and two hand-held folders with the room numbers and keys inside.

"Have a good night," the woman said with a cheery voice. Elliot nodded and thanked her softly, turning to Sandra. She was standing in her American clothes, looking... well, extremely America. Who wore a t-shirt in the winter? Elliot pushed aside the ridiculous question and handed her one of the folders. "Here, this is your room. Unless you want this one?" He motioned to the other folder. It really didn't make a difference over what room either of them had. They probably looked the same.

Suddenly his stomach rumbled and Elliot blushed horribly. "I think I'm going to put my stuff away then hit the restaurant," he said with a weak smile. "How about you?"

Why was it that every counter person had to be a pretty woman? It was to Sandra's surprise that Elliot didn't suffer nose bleeds. She blinked when he got two rooms. She must've stood there staring at him for quite awhile because she didn't understand a word he said. All she could think about was what a waste of money it was for TWO rooms. She wasn't going to bite! And she knew for a fact that each room had at least two beds. Without saying anything, mostly because she hadn't been paying attention she grabbed both folders and turned back to the counter lady. "Hi. Can I just give back a room? We only need one." She told the lady with a dazzling smile of her own. 'THERE! TAKE THAT! LET'S SEE WHO HAS THE BEST DAMN SMILE NOW!' Sandra tended to be quite a competetive little one. She was happy to here that it could be arranged, and they were with one room. If Elliot had any protests, she hadn't heard him. When she began to walk away with the one folder now, much to her happiness, her stomach growled, like Elliot's had moments ago. "Hey. Wanna eat after we settle in?" She asked.

At this moment, Sandra must've looked pretty weird....

Elliot could only stare as Sandra traded in one of the rooms. He caught up to her in the hall on their way to the elevator, face completely shocked. He wanted to know why she did that. He really hated sharing rooms with people. And he had more than enough money to pay for two! This was... selfish of her! But Elliot, being Elliot, didn't say a word. He just threw his hands in the air when Sandra's back turned and followed. This was why he didn't associate with people. This was why he didn't like going out of his shell and communicating with people outside of his little bubble of comfort.

The room was on the seventh level. 716. It was a suit and had two large beds, one on either end of the room, along with two separate bathrooms. From the doorway the bathroom on the left had a giant hot-tub sized bathtub. The bathroom on the right had a tall, glass shower. The whole place was coloured peach and dark crimson trimmings. The two beds were identical and large, and looked very soft.

Elliot placed his bass and bags on the bed closest to the window to over look the city. The other bed had the best view of the TV. Elliot stared through the window at the city of London. In the distance he saw Big Ben, and he knew beyond that, far into the south, sleeping in their beds in the city of Poole in the county of Dorset, were his relatives. He felt bad. Really bad. His nana needed him. Her daughter was dead. His cousin, Anthony, was in pain from the loss of his favourite aunty. What the hell was Elliot doing, going off like this with some random American chick?

He had made a promise though to travel with Sandra though. He couldn't back out of that. Turning to face his new sort-of-friend, Elliot forced a smile and asked softly, "Ready to eat?"

(She's gonna drive him crazy!! XD OH! Do you want to be the one to introduce Drunky or shall I?)
Sandra hadn't seen anything wrong with what she'd done. If anything, she thought she was being unselfish by letting him get one room. Especially since he was paying for it. She honestly had no idea that he hated sharing rooms with people. The room looked absolutely amazing. She blinked and looked around. It was so cool! Lazily, Sandra just stuffed her clothes in drawers, no wanting to hang stuff up, and left her unmentionables inside the suitcase in which was for that purpose only. When she was down she layed down on the bed. It was probably the softest bed she'd ever layed on. It was so awesome. She hadn't been laying there long before she started to hum. After a few more minutes, Elliot was done and asked if she was ready to eat. She sat up and smiled, and looked over at him with a nod. Only, her smile faded. She could see the forceness in his smile and her face fell. "Did I do something wrong? Again?" She asked, trying to figure out what she'd done wrong this time. She said again, because it was wrong of her to take him from his family. She would gladly let him go, but he seemed like the kind to honor a promise, plus she'd already tried....

[lol, she totally is! I have a plan on introducing Drunky, so is it okay if I do?]

Well, yes, she had, but Elliot didn't want to let his nagging OCD, anal side out in public this early. She might be scared off. Instead the Canadian kept his clothes in his suitcase, not caring to unpacking them since they were leaving the next morning, and turned his back. He hated lying to people's faces. It made it easier if he wasn't looking at them. He pretended to be focused on leaning his bass against the wall in a perfectly odd way. "No, not at all. I'm just hungry."

Pulling his wallet out of his jacket pocket and throwing his hoodie onto the bed, Elliot stood in his slightly form fitting t-shirt and slipped the wallet into his back pocket. His jeans were faded slightly, but not too badly that they looked gross. He padded down to the front to slip his sneakers back on and glanced over his shoulder as he opened the hotel door. He motioned with his hand in a mock bow. "After you."

The restaurant was on the bottom floor in a separate wing of the hotel. It over looked the back garden and the indoor pool was to it's left. Elliot stared at the water as they passed it. His heart ached for the ocean. He never swam in swimming pools. He thought they were a mockery of the salty water he loved so much. Sechelt was a peninsula surrounded by two waters (both waters were the Pacific Ocean). No matter where you went you saw the sparkle of the sun on the ocean, the waves that never seemed to stop moving and the smell of fresh saltiness. Elliot remembered the nights he snuck out of his house to be with Ashley or his friends and how they leaped into the ocean. It was warmest when the moon was high in the sky. The soft white light on top of them. That was his first kiss with his favourite girlfriend at Pebbles beach...

He shook his head, snapping himself out of the memories. No. He was here in London, England. He was going to travel the world a start a band. No more thinking of the past. No more yearning for the town he loved more than the rest of the world.

Elliot pushed through the doors of the restaurant. An older man with grey hair and a dark suit smiled wiry at him and Sandra as they entered. "For two?" He asked. Elliot nodded and they were swept away to a booth.

(No no. Go ahead. If I were to do it, I'd be clueless lol. XD Poor Elliot. He's like in love with his ex. :3)

Sandra watched him turn around and begin to mess with his bass. She sighed and nodded, not sure if he was lying or not. She stood up and stretched. She felt like a horrible person. A horrible horrible person, just because he didn't seem to like her very much. Had it been another girl but Sandra, they would've cried. But Sandra wasn't a crier. She never had been. She nodded and followed him out of the room, still feeling bad. For once, she was extremely quiet. She followed him all the way down to where the restaurant was, glad that they didn't have to leave to go eat. At the booth, as she looked over the menu she knew that she was paying. "I'm paying." She muttered. It was pretty expensive, plus since he had payed for the room, she was paying for dinner. Especially now that she felt bad. She looked through the things and decided on just getting mozzerella sticks. She loved them, plus they weren't all that expensive. She didn't care what Elliot got though. She even hoped he got like the steak or lobster. Just because she felt bad. However, she knew she'd get over it.

[Lol, yeah, he still cares about her since he had to leave not on his accord D; But he'll get over it soon xD]

Elliot raised his eyes off the menu when he heard Sandra speak. He would have refused, since he did have more money than her (or so he assumed. His bank account was pretty loaded compared to a normal person), but then the question of where he got such a significant amount of cash would pop up and he didn't feel like answering such a thing. He didn't feel like talking about his mother right now.

"If you insist," he replied, scanning the menu yet again. They'd come for drinks first, then leave, then come back with the beverages and ask about food orders. After speaking, the waiter or waitress would disappear and reappear a dozen or so minute later with their meals. Simple restaurant procedure. Elliot's stomach rumbled again. He sighed. He wished it would be food first then drinks...

A waiter came into view and towered over their table. He was tall and blonde with a bent nose, but a nice enough smile. Elliot quirked his lips to mimic the slightly forced stretch of the mouth that was staring him down from above. "Hello."

"Hello, my name is Chris. I'll be your server today. How can I start you off for drinks?"

"I'll have a coke, please," Elliot replied with quietly. The waiter nodded, scribbled the name down, then turned his head in an owl-like fashion to stare at Sandra expectantly.

Sandra looked at her menu until the waiter came. She watched Elliot order, this time to the right person, and then smiled at Chris. "I'll have a sprite. Thanks." She watched Chris scribble it down and then leave. Unable to resist, she made a quick glance over of him. Eh. He wasn't necessarily her type, and to be frank he might have had the flattest ass in the world of guys. Sighing, she looked back at her menu, making sure she definitely wanted the mozzarella sticks before putting the menu down and looked up at Elliot. Her fingers tapped the table absently while she waited and thought of something to say. She was drawing up blanks, very unusual for her. Normally she had lots to say, but to be frank, Elliot wasn't much of a talker and he didn't seem to be the friendliest, energetic guy out there. If their band became a bunch of boring people she was going to kill herself.

Chris brought back their drinks and then left to give them more time. He had a lot of tables was what Sandra assumed. She took a sip, trying to think of something.

Elliot could see Sandra was drawing up a blank for conversation. To be frank, so was he. Then again, he didn't like conversation very much. Not unless it involved something he was interested in. Shifting around in his seat to make himself a little more comfortable, Elliot crossed his arms on the table, coke sitting in front of him. He sipped the straw, filling his cheeks in a chipmunk-like fashion with the overly cabonated drink. He swallowed slowly, enjoying the feel of the bubbles around his teeth.

God, he was such an idiot.

An idea hit him. Well, it wasn't really an idea. It was a subject. A conversation starter. Elliot raised his head and gazed at Sandra across the table. She was tapping her fingers against the table. It was beginning to bother him. He hated repetative actions. "We need a band name," he chirped. "A good one. Although, maybe we shouldn't think of it right now without any other members..." Okay now he was doubting his idea. Great. He was looking like a fool all over again. He wished he was back home.

Sandra had been staring off when she caught a glance of Elliot. He was sipping in a bunch of coke. At first she was confused as she watched him, but then she grinned seeing his chipmunk-like cheeks. She thought it was so adorable! She had always been an animal person, and Elliot looked like a small kid with big cheeks and she couldn't resist thinking it was adorable. Had he been really smaller and she knew him better she would have definitely moved over and hugged the crap out of him and then make him sit in her lap. She began to daydream about that type of thing happening and she suppossed her maternal instincts had just set in. It was when he actually spoke that she shook her head, and continued tapping her fingers. Her nose scrunched up while she thought of a name. She thought it was a wonderful idea, except instead of saying so she just automatically went into thinking about it. A bad thing, but the food came them.

Sandra thanked Chris before looking back at Elliot with a smile. "I can't think of any names at the moment, but that's a wonderful idea!"

Elliot did something close to an eyebrow raise, fork stabbing into his food. Sandra sure wasn't being all that talkative. Well, maybe she really didn't have anything on her mind. He assumed the American would be bursting with ideas and be wanting to discuss them. Elliot watched Chris leave, the waiter obviously thinking of something else. Probably with whatever his new task was. On the opposite doorway the black and white dressed man disappeared into was a sign. A sign that had two figures, male and female, painted on its dark background.

His stomach tugged. Suddenly Elliot wondered when the last time he went to the bathroom. Smiling across the table at Sandra, the Canadian excused himself and made his way down the hall and turned left.

The bathroom was only fit for a handful of guys. Elliot saw a auburn haired man, a little shorter than him, standing at the sink, head tilted toward the white bowl. He was making low groans of pain, as if his stomach jumped inside his belly, wanting the contents to fly free.

Elliot, politely ignoring the strange man, walked over to one of the urinals and quickly did his business. Then he sauntered over to the sink and turned on the one farthest from the auburn head. As he washed his hands, Elliot heard the man shift a little and glanced over. The guy was staring at him. No, glaring. His dark eyes narrowed and filled with unmistakeable distaste. "Um... hi?" Elliot meekly greeted.

"Ahdveel?"

"Pardon me?"

"Advil." The man was Irish and damn near impossible to understand with his slur. "Ye got'tany?"

Elliot blinked. He turned off the tap. "Um, no, I'm sorry. I have some upstairs in my room though. Would you like me to go and get you some?"

"S'fine. Waste o' time." The man straightened his back and turned, as if ready to leave the washroom, but suddenly stumbled and gripped the sink yet again. Elliot moved a step or two backwards, not wanting to be crushed by the weight of the sick man. Although he was larger than the auburn headed male...

"Are you okay? Do you want me to get you some help?" Elliot moved a little closer, but the man waved him off with a grunt. "You stay here, I'll go find you someone who can bring you to your room--"

The man scowled. "Whad'id I jus' say t' ye? I dun need no help! Bugger off ye faggot an' leave me alone."

Elliot's blood ran cold. Faggot? Oh hell no, this guy did not just call him that. The Canadian glared, temper flaring. "Excuse me? I'm trying to help you."

"Yer doin' a brilliant job, douche," the man shot back sardonically. He attempted to leave the bathroom once again but failed to do so and slumped against the sink, putting all his weight into his hands to hold himself up. Another groaned passed his lips. He sounded so weak and pitiful, yet as soon as that mouth opened Elliot wanted to punch the man in the face.

With his head tilted, extremely offended, Elliot stalked out of the washroom, barely caring to dry his hands. He slammed the door shut behind him and stormed to his seat. Sitting down, he saw Sandra staring at him and sighed. Great. Now he must look like some short-tempered fool. Deciding to ignore her curious stare, Elliot leaned over the table and started picking at his food again. What were they talking about before? A name? Right. Band name. "So I was thinking it should have something to do with travelling, since, y'know, we're supposedly going around the world to do this thing..."

Before he could say anymore he heard footsteps. Then tripping, then swearing, and finally a hand slapping on the leather of the seat. The Irish man was standing there holding his head, cursing to himself. Elliot glared at him. The man, noticing who it was that he had just disturbed, leered right back. "It's ye."

"Come to insult me some more, ass?" Elliot replied venomously.

The man sneered, lips curling back over his teeth. "Fer American trash ye talk mighteh high."

"Impossible. I'm Canadian."

"Oh, good! Britain's lacky! Fetch me a pint, would ye?"

"You've got your history wrong, idiot. Ireland's not part of the United Kingdom."

The man's smile fell. He looked up, as if thinking about those words, then snorted and leaned against the seat, supporting his weight. "Shuddit ye fag."

Sandra smiled and nodded. She sighed and sat at her chair. Nothign excited happened to her. She sipped at her drink and nibbled at her food and sat there. She hated being alone, which was what she was now. Alone. But she couldn't help but feel kind of.... Selfish now about Elliot. But it seemed he was going to be staying with her and since she'd given him fair chances at changing his mind and going to his family she wasn't goign to keep thinking about it. She shoved it away from ehr mind, especially since Elliot was finally coming back. She smiled at him and then froze. Suddenly Elliot was fighting with a hot Irish guy. She couldn't help but laugh at their little quarrels. It was quite funny watching them. Though it was obvious that the Irish guy didn't feel good. She wanted to ask him to join them but Elliot didn't seem to like him very much and she was probably already on bad terms with Elliot about something and about the whole band thing. She really didn't want Elliot to hate her, she was just who she was.

Sandra began to wonder if the Irish man played an instrument. But she decided that her question would have to wait a little because she was laughing at the moment....
