PIE.

I really don't know why but I've never had really good cake before. Pie, on the other hand, has never failed me. :P I love sweet potato, lemon meringue, strawberry and peach, key lime, apple and cinnamon pie et cetera. (Ad this isn't even counting the savory pies either.) I know you can get lovely cakes but they don't provide much competition, in my opinion. :D

I like pie so much better.
I don't like cake because it becomes dry to fast.

Both. They're both amazing and which I prefer at the time just depends on my mood. Right now, I could go for a pumpkin pie...

I'm more of a cake fan, pies just aren't my thing.

So amazingly delicious. I'd eat it every night if I could. Otherwise I do like the plain vanilla cake and red velvet cake. Yum. :]
As for pie I really only like Apple and Pumpkin, so I'm not the biggest pie person in the world. Warm Pumpkin pie is soooo tastey too though.

the only cake I really like is red velvet cake. My favorite pie is banana creme pie but I also like key lime pie and chocolate pie. Not too big on the fruit pies. Anyways, pies over cakes all day.

I looveee cakes. And pies. I just feel like either one is suited for different occasions. I prefer pies for 4th of July, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. Cakes are good for Birthdays, Easter, and Christmas. Either one is good for any other day of the year. I just have particular preferences...^_^"

I prefer cakes, unless you give me the option of having French Silk Pie...then I would stomp anyone who tries to deny me my pie. But usually, I go for cake, especially if its an Ice Cream Cake.

Cake is the way to go. Especially checkerboard cake or ice cream cake. Pies are too unstable or at least all the ones I've had. Their usually runny and when you put a piece on your plate everything in the middle spills out. I probably have just never had a good pie.

Cake, but I do love pumpkin or apple pie with ice cream/cool whip.

Freaking god! These kinds of threads make me want to strangle someone. In a good way. I hate choosing between two things that are equally satisfying, but very different at the same time. So of course I'd have to say both! It's like asking if I'd rather have cookies or ice cream. Why not combine the two? ;D

Pastries are good, but they arent the same as a full meal....though, if paired properly it does of course complement the entire dining experience.

Both, there are times that those delicious pies can make you feel happy, but that creamy cake also is good.

Hahahah, totally agreed. But... thinking of it... LoveAria is right, why the name??

I think I would have to pick pie between the two. I like so many more pies than I do with cakes. :)

I can live quite happily without pie. But cake is an essential part of my diet.
Plus baking cakes is one of the things I enjoy doing the most (cooking-wise), so that always helps :)
