Weirdest for me is when it's raining and there's not a cloud in the sky... =.= the magic of Washington.

Mosquitos do? I never see any after a rainstorm here.

Maybe the clouds were super thin and tiny.

I believe so. You know those demons love standing water, right?

Stagnant water to be specific. They don't do well in moving water.

Yikes

So I wonder if there are fewer mosquitoes and fewer mosquito bites in places with drier climates?

Usually, as if it's dry there's nowhere to breed/lay eggs. But you can assist in reducing their population by not having stagnant water out. Replacing pet water often, etc.

Just put out some standing holy water and you'll be good to go.

Now that I've seen them for real, dragonflies freak me out.

They're colorful, and they don't tend to bite. I'd say that's a win in my book. Praying Mantis are cool too.

I prefer butterflies. They don't scare me as much. Most of the scare with them is suddenly seeing something flying by.

Butterflies don't look much different close up than a dragonfly though

But why? They're often friendly. S/O one skypes me with a praying mantis on their head. It was awesome.

I can deal with butterflies and dragonflies.. as long as they stay at a distance.
