I was wondering about a possible Wanted section, or something along those lines, so people can put up wanted ads like for a certain type of artist or for a specific item that's hard to find.

And not forgetting the charities so they get publicied more.

That would be an interesting way to use a Classifieds section. But that would depend on factors such as, are people willing to pay for a section to advertise or post what they want/have? How much would they be willing to pay? How many people read the Herald? Stuff like that.

We could do it based on how big they want their advertisement to be. Smaller ones could be say...50g then medium 100g and large 150g....or something similar. We could always trial run it ^_^

Depends on the Charity. Some charity's are only for new members some aren't...guess it would depend on which charity we donanted to each week.

Lixlaria- I think Kent's idea to do a survey beforehand would best be done first, just so whoever would take responsibility over it would have an idea if it would even be worth having it.

Then there are the ADs to consider: How would they be made? How would they direct reader to the advertiser? Stuff like that as well.

It is a really good idea, but lots to think about.

Well, most newspaper ads are text, right? AKA, the Classifieds? And if somebody wanted a picture ad, they would provide the picture, and possibly pay extra since pic ads tend to take up more space than a written one.

fair enough on the idea but do you think we have enough readers at this point to make the ads worthwhile to people? I would also need to talk to syra to see if we could condense those into into smaller forms to fit them on the pages etc ...

Hmmm... Well, seeing as there's really no accurate way of gauging how many people read the Herald... I really can't answer that question any better than you. xD I say, make a poll or something asking readers for feedback on this, and possibly other ideas that come up in the future.

Or better yet! A 'Question of the Week' section, where you ask a question one week, and publish some of the better/more coherent/interesting responses you get. Then you could ask your readers about everything from their view on recent Mene Events, to feedback for The Herald, to whether they prefer their toilet paper rolled over or under.

I would say just do it,its the persons money if they wanna gamble on how many readers there are then let them

gotta wait on syra to see if she can/is willing to create a section where we break the ads down into sections on one page.

However I do like the idea of a weekly question for people to answer here at the forums

if I could set it up in boxes like a normal classified section of the newspaper, yeah it'd be easy. Just makes sure I have everything I need.

This is the first time I've read the Herald. I liked your Rant section! It made me laugh and I could relate to it. I like the things you post on Mene, Gary. It's nice to have someone opinionated and not afraid to show it. I'm tired of seeing chat on here that puts me to sleep...well I guess everybody knows everybody. Except me.:shock:

I'm not too interested in the horoscope section, but that's just because horoscopes have lost their charm to me.

aww... I try my best to make the horoscopes interesting and truthful and a bit fun... *sigh* guess I can't please everybody....

*pets syra* don't worry about it love, not everyone likes horoscopes and such, you shouldn't let it bother you. :3
