A group of scientists discovered a way to send people into time. Unfortunately, the process destroyed any surveillance equipment, and the rats they tested on couldn't say anything about what happened to them. So, they quietly gathered volunteers to send into the future.
Unfortunately, the machine didn't work as they thought. Instead of sending the people one hour into the future, it sent them into an alternative dimension, which they don't know how to escape from. Because they couldn't go back, the scientists just kept sending more in, hoping for a success story.
This world is full of creatures and beings of legends - elves, centaurs, etc. Technology is non-existent, but magic stands in its place.
There are several kingdoms (six, in fact), but the two largest, most powerful ones (Vaellor and Respia) are at war. The volunteers teleport into the Vaellor, completely lost and rather disoriented.
And it begins...

Respia
Quote:
Username: Lady Ligeia
Name: Kei Myuro
Age: 24
Sex: Questionable. No one really knows... he is, however, male, as is relatively obvious from his voice..
Kingdom/Earth: Respia
Status: Assassin for Respia
Race: Gancanagh
Power: Poisoned skin- if anyone touches his bare skin for a prolonged period of time, they will get severely poisoned. Brushing across his skin will get a minor poisoning, usually only enough to make someone dizzy for a short period of time. He also has slightly increased speed and agility.

Thainne
Quote:
Username: Remaro
Name: Maleki (Malek)
Age: 19
Sex: Male
Kingdom/Earth: Thainne
Status: Guide and hunter
Race: There’s no name for his race, however he is part snow leopard and part human.
Power: Increased senses, especially sight and hearing, slight manipulation of ice and snow (he can also make it form if there is enough water) He is also slightly faster and stronger than an average human due to being part snow leopard.
Weapon: His claws and fangs and a twin pair of daggers.
Appearance:
He has snow leopard ears and a tail, the fur runs along his back and just over his shoulders, thinning out before it reaches his elbows. His feet are also elongated and he tends to walk on his toes like a cat does so rarely wears shoes.
Personality: Like snow leopards he can be quite a recluse. He despises being in crowds or small spaces, preferring to have numerous escape routes and large open spaces around him. Malek is distrustful and wouldn’t hesitate to abandon someone if it meant saving his own neck. However, he takes debts very seriously. If he feels he owes you, he will refuse to leave your side until his debt is paid. Malek can be fiercely loyal, he is calm and patient, never one to rush anything if he can avoid it. He is also rather quiet, at times you may not even notice he is there, able to blend in with his surroundings easily. But then, what use would a hunter be if they couldn’t hide, if they weren’t quiet and if they weren’t patient? Occasionally his more bestial side will slip out. He becomes dangerous to those around him as he can’t tell friend from foe, only if they are a threat or not. In this mentality, he could easily tear a ‘friend’ apart in his attempt to escape the situation. Malek has good control over this side of him though.
Bio: He was born and raised in a mountain clan of other snow leopard humans. They were a small clan, priding themselves in their ability to practically melt into the mountains and snow, invisible to the outside world. However, on a hunt one time, they had to go further down the mountain than they usually went. This was Malek’s first encounter with other creatures that were not considered food or clan members. He became steadily fascinated with these creatures and the different lives they led. At the age of sixteen, he decided to leave his clan to go travelling. The first real city he came to was Thainne and it was here he decided to make his home. However, he does journey to Thainne’s allied cities frequently, working as a guide and protector for those also wishing to do the journey.
Extra: His nails look human. However, like a cat he has retractable claws, so when he wishes to, his nails grow longer and sharper, becoming his claws.

Status: Unknown

Power: She can control the wind and communicate with animals.
Weapon: A scythe
Appearance:
Personality: She's very gentle and calm. She is very easy to get along with, and does not mind being in large groups of people, however she does travel alone. She is always kind to those she meets, and appears to always want to help. However, some seem to notice a slight mischevious side to her.
Bio: She doesn't have memory of either of her parents, and was raised by an ederly woman in Merkianna. The woman never knew who Elliana's parents were, because she found her abandoned in a forest when she was three. When she was young she thrived to find out who they were, and during her quest befriended one of the older soldiers from Merkianna, who took a bit of a fatherly role for her, teaching her how to fight. He was killed by Everreame soldiers. Since then she has given up on her journey to know her parents, but travels between the six cities quite often, though no one knows what she is really up to.

He travelled quite a bit with the band that had trained and raised him like a family until they were killed in battle. He then went on to travel as a loner taking various jobs that nobody else would accept making a name for himself.

((Well, shall we begin?))
Earth
Eva walked forward, her face blank as usual. Her eyes narrowed unintentionally as someone bumped into her. They turned to apologize to her, but saw her icy glare and walked away rapidly without a word. This didn't seem to faze Eva in the least, as it was usual for her.
Ever since elementary school, she had been bullied. This only stopped at freshmen year when she had finally stood up for herself. She hadn't been able to take it anymore, and punched several of her tormentors with all she had. However, rather than earning her respect and possibly friendship from others, it birthed vicious rumors about her, and she became isolated from the rest of the school. Still, it was better than being constantly tormented by others. At least she was given peace, and plenty of it.
On the other hand, she had become almost invisible to the rest, unless they were bored enough to gossip about the "violent" girl. Even the teachers seemed to ignore her, mostly because she didn't answer any of their questions. They had given up on her, branding her a "lost cause."
She yawned quietly before she entered her home room and slid behind her desk in the back of the room, already bored. She stared at the blackboard expressionlessly. The school day hadn't yet begun and she already wanted it to end.

((yes, let's. Hopefully I am not overstepping any boundaries saying that the scientist is going to be a guest speaker....))
John sighed. His final year of high school was starting off so well...not. First he was running late, again. His younger brother, Adam had hogged the bathroom, as he did every morning. And what did his mom do? Nothing, quite simply nothing. She just smiled and walked away as she did every morning when John tried fruitlessly to get her to intervene. He bumped into a girl while lost in his thoughts of this particularly bad morning (He had also nearly managed to get into a car crash.). He turned to apologize to her, but she gave him and icy glare so he backed off. Just his luck this morning. Glancing at his watch, he noticed that he was still running late, so he hurried off to his first bell hoping something, anything unusual would happen. He was sick and tired of routine after routine. He could only hope that the guest speaker in would provide some entertainment.
Lily walkedr around the bar cleaning up before the lunch hour rush that was sure to come in about three hours. It didn't take her more than an hour and a half usually, but she liked to be on the safe side. Besides, she had a feeling that something good was going to happen. Kouki, who seemed to have a sixth sense about these things, agree with her. All in all, she couldn't wait for lunch hour. It was always nice to catch up with the regulars and see new faces. She hoped that some of the village children would come. She had come up with a new story for them since they were always begging for more. They adored her stories and her cooking.

Actually, it's a good way to introduce the scientist anyways, other than randomly saying they randomly found him...and if that made sense, you know me too well and can now speak...well, for now Kuro-ese...lol))
Earth
Eva sighed as the class began. Much to her surprise, it ended early. Everyone was then herded into the gymnasium for some sort of guest speaker, according to the people muttering around her. Apparently the teacher had announced that there would be a speaker yesterday in class, but Eva only paid so much attention to what was happening around her. It was probably a miracle she had gotten to her senior year of high school. She sighed as the scientist got on stage and introduced himself.
((erm...did you want to play the scientist? I can't remember T.T ))
----------
Vaellor
Feng walked into the tavern where she worked, yawning quietly. She nodded and smiled politely at Lily as a greeting before she set to work, knowing that Lily would want to get everything ready before the lunch rush. Feng had begun working at Lily's inn for a few weeks and was already pretty sure of the routine. She began wiping down tables and chairs (though they were already pretty clean) before she made sure the bar was well stocked. They usually didn't get as much business at the bar at lunch, but Feng didn't like to be caught off-guard. It would also help her for the night's work when people wanted alcohol. Once she finished stocking, she washed her hands and prepared to wait on and bus the tables, knowing that Lily would be pretty busy with cooking. If there was on thing you could trust, it was that Lily's meals would be amazing.

((I really don't care. I guess I might as well, though I am going to treat him like and NPC because he is not really important past the beginning unless you want me to create a profile for him...I had to cut out John's reaction due to real life interference but I will post it soon.))
"Well then, let us begin. My name is Hugo Lewis, and I my friends am what most of you would call a mad scientist." This got quite a few laughs from the students. "Oh i assure you, I am completely serious. My work involves creating a pathway between our world Earth, and another universe. Using the theory put forth by George Burns that states quite simply do this and a black hole appears. We have created a black hole and bombarded it with enough negative charges and mass to create a tear in the black hole. Now, a tear in a black hole is commonly referred to as a wormhole. Now this particular one, was microscopic in size. To enlarge it, we have thrown charged masses at incredibly high speeds. Do not fear though. It is relatively simple to shrink as well. Now where was I? Oh yes, wormholes. Wormholes have long since been theorized to be able to transport one object of one space and time to another space and time completely. Well, I promise you, it is a theory no longer! It has been tested and proven that one object can be transport to another time and space! Hugo was getting increasingly excited as he continued his rant. He was nearly yelling at the end. The students facial expressions had changed from disbelief to confusion to awe. The principle coughed rather largely to remind Hugo of the time limit. "So I come to the reason for my appearance. Would any of you like to come help out in my lab? We are in dire need of some more help. Come see me after school at 341 Acorn Dr if you are interested. Just tell that man at the gate Hugo sent you. With that, Hugo left the hall and the school leaving an uproar for the teachers to deal with.

Eva's eyebrows rose in surprise at the scientist's speech. "They can send people to different time and spaces now?" She thought. "Like, sending them into the future? Or maybe into the past. That'd be interesting to see," she mused. The other students were clamoring with excitement, but she still sat quietly, absorbing what had been said. "Well, I can't say I would like to travel through time. I can't imagine it gets any better than this," she thought, somewhat glumly. Still, part of her was curious about what would happen, or if working with the scientists would pay anything. "I could get the hell out of here sooner..." she thought, carefully considering her options as she was herded to class. She was still on the fence with her decision when someone rammed into her, shoving her into a locker. She glared at the person responsible, but he only smirked over his shoulder and kept walking. She recognized him, and shuddered involuntarily. He had been one of the people who had made her life hell, and the one that she hadn't confronted. He hadn't been there the day she took her life back, and he was the only one that still scared her. "I've got to get out of here," she thought grimly. Her decision was made.

John could only shake his head as he heard the speaker claim to be a mad scientist. It had to be a hook to get people to sit up and listen, is what John's initial assumption was. As...Hugo continued speaking it slowly dawned on John that the speaker truly was insane, or mad as he himself put it. Still, it sounded interesting and John was looking for something different to happen. Maybe working in a lab wouldn't be so bad. I mean it would probably just be cleaning things... John thought ruefully. But then again it would be something to get rid of the monotonic everyday life. Maybe I should head over...anything is better than fighting with Adam again. And mom is always ragging on me about being proactive.... After deciding to head over to the lab, John texted his mom and let her know the change in plans. As he had predicted, she was ecstatic. She was more than willing to give him a kitchen pass for the night so he could get a part-time job.

Eva headed over to the given address after school. She had left a few minutes earlier than the rest of the school, partly because she wanted to get the job. The other reason was that she didn't want to stay in class any longer. She was sick of it. She reached the chosen destination and was let in by the guard. The facility was a medium-sized building, rather boxy and bland on the outside. The inside was just as bland and very sterile looking - all white walls and floors. The other workers wore white lab coats so that they almost blended in with the background. Eva, clad in her normal black attire, stood out more than she had in a long time. Nervous, she walked quickly fowrwards until a receptionist stopped her.
"Who are you here to see?" She asked.
Eva blinked and hesitated. It had been a long time since someone talked directly to her, and it had been even longer that she had to respond. She was suddenly aware that her throat was dry and useless, and she could only make a small coughing sound.
"Oh, you're from Y-High school, aren't you?" Hugo asked, coming towards her.
Eva could only nod and be grateful that he figured it out.
"You came for the job?
She nodded again.
"Great! Come on this way. I'll need you to sign some paperwork, then we can begin. You are over eighteen, aren't you?" He asked. She nodded again.
"Fantastic! He led her away and pushed a pile of things to sign. She was too nervous to read any of it, though he was quickly explaining what it was. "Basically this just says you won't sue us if you have an accident in the lab or anything. Nothing to worry about, it's just something we have to put in here. Now, if you'll sign here as well, we'll be set!" She signed, and then was led into a waiting room and given a drink. She held the can of Mountain Dew and wondered vaguely what she was waiting for.

((Good. Anyone can use him to move the story along. Does the high school have a name? Or is it Y-High?))
John left immediately after school got out and headed towards the address, hoping that it wasn't going to be too too busy. It took him about ten minutes to reach 341 Acorn Dr. The building was nothing like he expected. He had half-hoped for some giant complex with all sorts of.... well something. A medium sized complex that looked just like a normal office building was not on his list of mad scientist hideouts...or labs. Upon entering the lab, his initial thoughts were still unchanged. He could have sworn he had gotten the address wrong if it weren't for lots of people walking around in lab coats....okay so maybe there were about ten of them. In front of him was a giant wooden desk where a woman of about 45 sat. John walked up to her and was about to ask when Hugo Lewis appeared out of nowhere. "Ah! Another student! Wonderful! You are here for the job, right? Yes, please follow me. Gracie, can you get the boy a cold soda while he waits? Thanks. Now, down to business. You are over 18 correct?" Hugo actually paused and waited for and answer. "No sir. I'll be 18 in three weeks though. I got the okay from my mom though..." John trailed off not sure if he was helping or hurting his case. Hugo barely missed a beat. "Well, I'll have to have you fill out these forms though and call your mother real quick to double check. It won't take long. What is your phone number?" "Ah, 724-387-4731" "Wonderful" Hugo turned and walked away leaving John staring at the forms in an empty....well mostly empty room. There was a girl with a can of Mountain Dew in her hand. She was probably the other student.

Eva looked up as another person entered the room. She vaguely remembered him, but it took her a minute to place him. She wasn't good with recognizing people. "Ah, the kid that ran into me today," she thought idly, and went back to her pop. She was now more uncomfortable, considering she was alone in the room with a stranger. She wasn't one to fidget to show her nerves, but instead clenched one hand at her side, while the other was tight around the can of pop. "What's taking so long?" She thought anxiously.

((It is fine.))
Lily smiled in polite greeting as her hiree came in. Feng was a quick learner and always polite and had made life much easier on her. Lily knew she could count on Feng, so she went back to setting up. As lunchtime rolled around, Lily went back into the kitchen and started up the cooking fires. Today's special was roast rosemary venison with a green salad. The soup of the day was sweet venison stew with the usual beef burgers and sausages. Lily was also experimenting with sage lemonade. It was a well know fact that though her cooking was amazing, if she experimented you had better watch out. She had two... tastes so to speak, amazing and inedible. The sage lemonade boded well because it was not that far out there. So it was probably a safe bet....probably. "Feng, you wouldn't mind waiting tables again would you? I'll try to help out, but you know how it is. Lily smiled as she heard the door chime as the first customer walked in. It was Rui and her daughter Ella who was probably five. Kouki went over to greet the little girl. Ella was delighted, as always, to see the little squirrel-cat.
----------
John looked over at the girl....she looked vaguely familiar. He suddenly remembered her when she looked over at him. It was the girl he had bumped into earlier! He never did get a chance to apologize to her....Now probably would have been a good time, if she didn't look like she was about to crush the soda in her hand... His musing were thankfully interrupted by the receptionist lady...Gracie. She looked around the room and spotted John. "I brought you a Pepsi and a water in case this takes longer than it should. Hugo is a good person, but he is a bit of a scatterbrain. Sh, I see you have finished your forms. I'll take those from you." Gracie took the forms that were lying on the table and left again. Well, better face the music and apologize. I would hate to be stuck in this room for an hour with this uncomfortable silence... John stood and walked over to the girl before he could change his mind. "I am really sorry about bumping into you this morning. I was running behind because my brother hogged the bathroom this morning...again. So I wasn't looking where I was going... My name is John by the way. What is yours?"

Vaellor "No problem," Feng said. Part of her was happy to be away from the kitchen, as it was safer to stay away when Lily was experimenting with something or another. She smiled at the guests and led them to a table. She had already written down the specials for the day, and read them off before giving the mother and daughter a moment to decide. Eventually, more people trickled in. Feng moved as quickly as possible, not wanting to annoy a customer. A happy customer was a customer that tipped well. She went back into the kitchen to get more food and commented, "We're really starting to get moving out there. Your food is as popular as usual." She piled plates onto her tray and hoped that she wouldn't drop anything. Her arms were already strong, but she thought that her balance had improved due to the job.
Earth Eva jolted slightly when the woman came in and spoke to the other student. She relaxed for a moment, but then tensed up again when she realized that the boy was coming her way. Nervous, her hands clenched tighter, denting the can slightly, and her eyes narrowed up at him. She heard the apology, and could only continue staring at him, not exactly sure how to respond. No one had really ever apologized to her before. She had apologized to others, of course, but their reactions to her words weren't something she wanted to repeat. She settled for saying nothing at all, as he had already moved on anyways. She nodded in acknowledgement of his name. This, at least, was something she remembered how to do. Unfortunately, her throat wasn't as obliging. She opened her mouth, and in a rather rough, gravelly tone she murmured, "I'm Eva." Her eyes narrowed even further, slightly embarrassed that it sounded like she hadn't spoken a word in years (though she really hadn't). "Did my voice always sound like that? It's been a while... She mused silently. Her hand shaking slightly, she took a sip of the pop in an effort to clear up the gravel settling there.

Walking into what seemed to be the most popular tavern in town, the fairly tall raven haired mercenary took a brief look around for a spot to lay low. The demon wasn't exactly welcome in this town but he was just finishing up a job he had taken here and was in need of a bit of rest before making the journey back to Respia to collect his pay. Vyrance had been selling his services out to all the allies of Candorr, his home town, and had been making a killing off of the war. And although the war was relatively young, he had made quite the name for himself over the past few months as he tackled any job given to him no matter the difficulty. Picking a seat that was relatively well placed within the crowd of cheerful folk, the young man sat down keeping a watchful eye out for any sort of officials that may recognize him. To his advantage no one had yet survived an encounter with him to tell of his appearance but there had been rumors spread throughout the countries of Vaellor, Everreame, and Thainne, that told of his arm patch's black phoenix symbol. He had no idea how they came to be feeling that someone had sold him out rather than he had been discovered but either way he was taking no risks.
Sighing to himself, Vyrance's lean yet rocked up muscles swelled and flexed through his clothing, loosely showing off his toned body and to his dismay, bringing about some unwanted attention. A few women looked his way even though there were men sitting with most of them but he pretended not to notice. Yesterday he had been tasked with killing a family of nobles whom had blackmailed a regent in Respia. The mission had been handled with brutal efficiency. The house had been effectively burned down to leave no clues and on top of all of that he made it look like carelessness on the family's part, so there was little to worry about. Calling to the white haired waitress that seemed to be quite good at her job, "Excuse me ma'am but I'd like to place an order when you have a moment..." It wasn't until after he called to her did Vyr remember that his voice wasn't that strong even if it was fairly deep. He had to simply hope she heard him...

Feng's white wolf ears perked as someone else called her, and she politely nodded to show she had heard the man. A moment later, when she had delivered a tray of food to a rather fussy family, she made her way over to the raven-haired man. "I'm sorry about your wait, sir. What can I get for you today?" She asked him, her business smile carefully placed, as usual. Her gold eyes fell upon the patch around his arm - it was a phoenix. Her expression didn't change, but she could have sworn she had heard something about a man with a patch before. Her smile cooled a few degrees, but the subtle change was hardly noticeable. "Keep an eye on this one," she thought, making a mental note. "He better pay and leave without trouble or there'll be hell to pay." Though her smile was still polite, she was planning the most efficient way to counter and defeat the potentially dangerous guest.

The male nodded as she strolled off and then returned a few moments later. She had been polite but he had noticed her eyes drop to the patch on his sleeve, although he simply made a mental note of this not wanting to cause a scene. Putting on an equally warm smile he placed his order politely, "I'll have the house special and a warm tea please?" Having a soft voice like his usually kept people from suspecting too much from a guy like him but that was only because he tried to keep his physique hidden. He was amazingly toned but was a nice lean that his usual suit generally kept his muscles hidden from plain sight. Before allowing the waitress to leave he needed a bit of information on her, so in a calm tone he asked. "Um, may I ask your name ma'am?" If there was a chance that she knew something of him, he would need to have something on her, even if her looks alone were enough. Vyr wasn't the type to go looking for trouble but he was careful and extremely cunning, if things got hectic, he already had a plan.

Feng wrote down his order and was about to leave when he asked for her name. Her instant instinct was to make some cool remark and evade the question, but she reminded herself that she was at work, and she needed the money. "He's probably just being polite...or something," she thought, though she didn't believe it, though people had asked her name in the past. It just wasn't in her nature to trust anyone but for a select few. She had been burned too many times to continue trusting strangers. "I'm Feng, she told him, her smile nearing icy. She knew two things: one, if she pissed the customer off she wouldn't get as much cash, and two, if he was trying to pull something, she'd take care of herself. She just hoped it could be avoided.
Before he could ask anymore personal questions, she turned and headed back into the kitchen, giving the order to Lily. She debated a moment about sharing her worries, but instead of sounding paranoid, she headed back out into the dining hall to continue her job.

Feng... Her smile had completely lost its charming glow for whatever reason. Taking this as a sign that he may have just made an enemy, Vyrance smiled until she turned away only to allow a brief glimpse of malice flow from his eyes as they narrowed. He then lightened up, there was no time for him to get caught up in some petty squabble with a waitress but something told him that there was more than met the eye. He had noticed that she had exceptional balance which usually came from training and she seemed to be fairly observant, or more so than the average being. The slight possibility that there was some sort recognition of his emblem told him that she may also be in the military, otherwise there should be no reason for her to grow cold to him. He didn't want to have to kill her but who knew how things would turn out. If a fight was necessary then he would fight her and kill all witnesses immediately. Allowing the thought to pass effortlessly, he began to think up his next move. There was the matter of reporting back to Respia but would he return to Candorr after that or would he simply roam for a time? Things had been getting fairly heated as of recently so he may need to lay low for a month or so to let things die down. His fame had risen quite sharply due to his jobs and he had no desire to be hunted anytime in the near future.

((might as well start transporting, ne? XD))
Earth
Eva was spared from any more conversation when the door opened once more and Hugo returned. "I am sorry for the wait, I was getting prepared. Hmm, let's see...well, we'll go with ladies first. Miss Evelyn, will you come with me please?" Hugo asked, extending his hand to her, as if she would take it. Eva twitched slightly at the use of her first name. Only her parents ever called her Evelyn, and it wasn't something she particularly enjoyed. Still, she silently rose and walked with Hugo (obviously ignoring his hand). They walked down the hall for a while before turning into a large, sterile-looking room. The walls were covered with computers and other electrical equipment that were being used by more people in lab coats. The very center of the room was dedicated to a huge, rather complex machine. "All right, Miss Evelyn, would you mind standing right here?" He asked her, leading her firmly to a pedestal. The man was making her nervous now. Besides, she was well aware that everyone in the room was watching her closely.
She wanted to ask what was going on, but no words were coming out. She could only move her mouth open and close slightly. She swallowed, trying to force the words to come. "Calm down, breathe..." She thought, trying to console herself. However, before she could attempt her question again, a large glass tube came down and sealed her inside.
Eva panicked and froze where she was standing. Her eyes were narrowed into an icy glare that came to her whenever she was this frightened. It was her defense mechanism - when she was scared, she scared the others off. During her bouts with bullying, she had perfected the expression (matched with a bit of self-defense) and it had worked wonders. Now it had become automatic for her.
She finally wrenched her jaws open to scream at them (or attempt it), but there was a flash of white light. Eva threw up her hands in front of her eyes, screaming. Then, everything was quiet.
For a moment, she was peaceful. She easily began to relax and her body felt as if it were melting. Then, there was a second flash of light and she found herself standing in the middle of a stone street. People glanced over at her, but then away as if there was nothing unusual about a girl just appearing there. Eva stared a moment, realizing she was in the middle of a large city. It was one she didn't recognize. Forcing her legs to move (it was never smart to stay in the middle of the street) she hurried towards some sort of inn. "Maybe they have a phone," she thought numbly. She opened the door and stepped inside, looking around nervously.
Vaellor
Feng looked over as a new customer came in, looking slightly nervous despite her rather stoic expression. Feng set down the drinks at the current table she was taking care of, nodded at another customer and signaled that she would be with him in just a minute, and headed towards the girl, smiling politely. "How can I help you?"
Eva gaped a moment, staring at the woman's white hair, wolf ears, and tail. "Cosplay or something?" She thought, her eyes narrowed once more. "Where the hell am I?" She thought desperately. Her mouth trembled slightly as she opened it, and after a moment she managed, [/b]"Can I...erm, borrow your phone?"[/b]
Feng looked at the girl curiously, her own eyes narrowing in response to someone glaring at her so fiercely. However, she remembered her place and quickly smoothed her expression into a professional smile. "I'm sorry, we don't have a phone." Internally, she thought, "What the hell is a phone?"
Eva stared at the girl. One thought uncontrollably crossed her mind. "I'm screwed, aren't I?"

Annabelle was selling her masters shop items the chain around her leg still hurting her so and forcing her to stay large "Come one come all get everything you need here." Most men in town would come to get their things here just for a chance to talk to annabelle but she never noticed that she just noticed the pain of the magic being drained from her by the chain her master had placed on her ever so long ago.

Vyrance had forgotten where he was for a time as he planned ahead for his leave of Vaellor but to his uncomfortable dismay his stomach reminded him of why he had stopped here in the first place. It wasn't like him to be rude so he had no intentions of hassling the waitress, besides they had already gotten off on the wrong foot. Looking around the place, as if searching for something to occupy his stomach's rumbling, he noticed a female enter but she didn't look familiar with the area. He watched as she engaged in a conversation with Feng and decided this was his opportunity to take his mind off of his hunger. Rising slowly he walked over to the young woman with Feng and took a short polite bow, "It's been a while milady, I was wondering if you would ever show up. Come, join me at my table over here..." His golden eyes glowed gently against the lighting of the tavern in a somewhat hypnotic fashion but he wasn't trying to seduce her in any way. He extended an arm in the direction of his table while holding a serene smile as his long raven colored hair draped loosely over his shoulders. He glanced to the white haired woman then smiled in a majestic manner, "I apologize for my interruption," he said calmly. Then for good measure he added, "I do hope my meal will be ready momentarily, my stomach seems to be in high protest." Giving her a curt nod to excuse himself he placed a hand gently on the young woman's upper back and ushered her over to his table. Internally, he was hoping she was intelligent enough to catch on to the fact that he was trying to help, and he was taking a risk at that. If she turned out to be some sort of spy working for any of the enemy governments, Vyr would be in danger. Still, a part of him said that he should offer his aid even if refused, he simply valued his instincts over reason.

Feng nodded in return as the girl was taken away. "It should be ready momentarily." Her eyes were narrowed suspiciously, though she wasn't quite sure why. Granted, she rarely trusted anyone or anything, so this reaction wasn't unusual for her. She waited on another customer before heading back into the kitchen. She came out a minute later carrying a tray full of food.
Eva moved stiffly with the man, wondering what the hell was going on. "Maybe he works with the scientist?" She thought wildly. Why else would a stranger ask her to sit with him? She sat stiffly, gripping the edge of her chair until her knuckles were white and began to ache in protest. She swallowed, trying to wet her throat to speak. Then, the waitress came back.
Feng set down the man's meal before turning to the girl. "Can I get you anything?" She asked politely.
Eva's mouth moved slightly. She wanted to say, "I want answers!" But words failed her. Cursing her cowardice, she shook her head and glared at the man she sat across from, her nerves stretched thin.
Feng nodded and walked away to serve the rest of the food. She was vaguely intrigued by the girl's reaction - she seemed like she wanted to say something, but didn't. "Was she being coerced? Or is she just really shy?" She looked back briefly at the man, her face expressionless as she thought, "Is it him? What is he up to?" She returned to the kitchen, grabbing more ready dishes. Despite the few workers, they managed to move things through quickly. To Lily, she quietly commented, "There might be trouble today. Please be careful." Then she walked into the dining hall once more.

Vyr took his seat across from the woman watching her in slight amusement as she seemed to be on the verge of passing out from shock. He had no idea where she was from or how she got here but something about her behavior was definately odd. He thanked Feng as she brought out his food and blessed it, "Would you like some young lady?" The demon didn't have a name to go by so he attempted to be polite, "Forgive me but I thought you may be in trouble so I tried to help. My name is Vyrance and I promise you have no need to fear me." His voice was low so that the only one who could hear him was her, although he knew that Feng was watching. She seemed to be the biggest threat to him at the moment and things were already on thin ice without this mystery woman showing up, still he remained calm in demeanor. "So may I get a name and a smile rather than this malicious glare you seem to have worked up in an attempt to pacify me." Vyr thought she was trying to scare him with her glare but who knew, she could be suspicious of him and with good reason he supposed. Taking a small sip of his tea he looked at the woman with cold eyes that hid a subtle warmth to them.
