Also Mene is a forum site, it is primarily based on people who chat in the forums. If you don't like chatting and prefer playing games why would you actually join a forum site?
I wouldn't say it was stupid trying to encourage more chatting, I think that it was a much better move, especially how the gold count was increased per post to balance things out.
As for who changed the game limit I am guessing Inso, but it would have been a staff decision as a whole.

Well, it's still an experiment, I must say I joined cause I liked the avatars and the games looked cool and the forums as well. It was all of those ingredients above that I chose to join. I'm sure by lowering the gold cap it would get more people to post which maybe it has but I still think three hundred is the perfect cap, but that's just my humble opinion.

It is indeed an experiment. If it doesn't work we'll change things around again.
While I understand that it isn't always comfortable for people to post in threads, especially well established hang outs (trust me it took me forever to start posting outside of the one thread I knew people in when I first started), but we are wanting to encourage more activity in the forums and people getting to know one another.
While yes, this does mean expanding our community and inviting others in, it does not necessarily mean we will be altering any rules to accommodate newer people or those that rarely post UNLESS we find a need to do so.
Changes are coming to Menewsha. This is only one of the first steps in the evolution of the community and we'll redirect if we need to.
Please keep this thread civil.

Evolutions you say? Now you have me curious, what kind of evolutions are in store for Menewsha? Now that you bring it up I really would love to know what direction the future of this site is heading. I hope it does not follow in Gaia's footsteps or users could migrate to other sites. I know that times are tough at the moment and the possibility for sponsors could come in to play. As long as it is not running rampid as it is on Gaia, I could deal with a minimal amount of it. By the way, how long is this experiment running?

Nope, Mene isn't getting any sponsors. Even if we were big enough to get them I don't feel like it would be an appropriate time to accept them.

Well Mr. Insomniac (By the way, did you chose that name because you're constantly having to work and keep up this site?) you're spending your hard earned cash to keep this site up which if you did get some sponsors I would understand because I would not spend my money to keep up a site that was not profitable or going to be at some point. I'm sure that you would chose a sponsor that would not wreck havoc on here, but like I said, times are rough and I really don't know your situation personally which I don't expect you to disclose, but I have to respect you for your decisions as far as that is concerned. By the way, if this experiment isn't quite working out, how much of a cap would you raise the gold amount to?

Thanks.
IRC is Internet Relay Chat. It's just a chat protocol. I like it, but for a while my preferred client stopped getting Windows updates, so I stopped using it. Looking it up again just now, it appears to have recently been updated for Windows again, but I don't even remember the name of the server I was on, nor do I have any interest in talking to those people anymore. That was like... five years ago?

Yes, it has really changed quite a bit, and now that you mention it I think I remember it as far back as eleven years ago. Damn, that was so long ago.
