Walking along the beach coastline, you listen to the soothing sound of the waves, hoping to fall asleep again when you spot someone, or something, enter the local "haunted" cave. You're curious, especially becuase of the flashing light you see inside, and you follow. Standing outside the entrance, the caves internal darkness seems to swallow all other light, except for the one bouncing orb you see overhead. Cautiously you walk inside to follow it, only to pause at the sound of music, which makes you more curious and you proceed again. It seems to stretch on forever, but you've only walked for maybe 5 minutes, when you finally see the bouncing orb, which you find isn't really an orb at all. The glowing mass is in fact a small Fae, now flitting around you in circles, shiny "dust" falling over you, befores she backs away and her light reveals a door that slowly creaks open.

You peak inside, noticing the many tables and chairs, a clear area possibly for dance set near a low-set stage on the right, to the left is a display case featuring pastries and desserts of all kind next to a bar counter with one register. Back near the opposite entrance is a set of spiral stairs, and out the window you see a strange city filled with people, no, not people, but aquatic beings, swimming while in clear tube like arches you see normal, possibly human, beings. The interior of the cafe is set with low orange glow, and a young woman with silver hair and ruby eyes smiles at you. "Welcome to the Rabbit Hole. I hope you enjoy it here."

Aria sighed softly as she wiped down the counter, again, waiting to see if anyone would come in again at this time of the year. Most of the other aquatic beings having already moved on to their main lands to start a family of their own. She moved to the display case, dusting out the invisible specks of dirt, and sighed. She disappeared into the kitchen, coming back out with a plate of cookies and glass of milk for herself. "So slow..." She groaned softly, one hand running through her left pigtail, then straightening her ruby tank top that was tucked into black cargo-capri pants covered with a white apron that had a small black hole in one corner where a rabbit was hanging from a chain out of, her black flats silent on the bright cherrywood floor.

Kristoph had been in the kitchen humming and twirling around in that short skirt of his while waiting for another batch of sweets to finish baking. They were almost done. When Aria walked in and grabbed a plate of cookies and some milk he had smiled sweetly to her before dancing towards the oven to pull out some cupcakes. He wriggled a bit and waved slightly when Aria exited his kitchen with her cookies. It wasn't long before the cupcakes had been iced, each with light blue icing and then a fish or a squid painted on top of the light blue icing with gray icing or sometimes even purple. Still humming he exited the kitchen with that tray in his hands and placed it in one of the display cases so that his sweets could be proudly shown off to....no one.

He frowned slightly. No one was here. Oh well. He ran a hand through his short purple hair and grinned at Aria. "You could always just go drag some people here against their will." His purple eyes sparkling and those knee high boots with the low heels made almost no noise as he moved across the floor. "After all, once they taste my cooking, they'd never want to leave."

She glanced over at him, smiling softly. "Mmm, I could, but thats not very princessly of me." She spoke softly,jokingly. She leaned over the counter top, one arm folded across as her right dunked a cookie in the milk for a few seconds, then munching on the soft, chewy, melt-in-your-mouth dessert. It was a well-known fact between the two of them she hated her royal blood. Of course it was more out of the issues she had with her Father. "Besides, we're supposed to be behaving. The last time I tried that, the little Princling of Atlantis took it upon himself to chew me out in my kitchen." She grumbled about that incident, mimcking the prince's rather girlish speech and mannerisms about how she needed to behave properly and more like a princess. She polished off the first, and two more the lovely cookies. "Is it your turn to cook dinner or mine? I know you planned a dessert..." She questioned as she once more stared out into the emptiness of her cafe, sighing for the uptenth time.

He smiled and sighed dramatically "You know I hate it when you call it your kitchen." Kristoph giggled softly and shrugged lightly. "I can cook dinner. I don't mind at all, and..that prince is rather cute though..isn't he?" He winked lightly at her. He reached over and snatched one of the cookies from her plate and nibbled on it slowly. Glancing around for a moment he heaved another dramatic sigh. "There really isn't much to do..is there?" He frowned slightly.

She pouted. "Of course its my kitchen, I built it. And I cooked in it before you came along. You just love it back there so much more." She smiled, leaning toward him to ruffle his hair softly. "Mm, I know but I have to cook every once in a while. Can't lose my edge in the kitchen at all." She smiled brightly, but scowled. "Cute he may be, but not my type. I'm taken already remember?" She shrugged as she pulled up another tray, and moving into the display case picking and pulling a few of the small treats out and setting them up. Moving out from behind the counter she laid the tray near the window. Standing back she tilted her head to the side as she set her fists on her hips. She frowned and moved the to the brighter section, shook her head and stuck them back in a slightly shadowed area to keep the chocolate from melting. "Not really..." She mumbled, then huffing in annoyance she pulled the tray out from the window and set it back on the counter, the little hanging rabbit making a tinkling sound as it swayed around. She stood next to him and lightly plonked her forehead on his shoulder. "The fates must dislike me at the moment...But what did I ever do to them?" She whined softly.

Kristoph shrugged lightly and pretended like he wasn't listening when she spoke about building the kitchen and cooking in it before he came along. He grinned at her for a few moments and shrugged a bit as he watched her move some of the sweets around. He was still nibbling on that one cookie he had taken from her plate earlier. It wasn't even half gone yet, when she leaned her head against him he just shook his head slowly. "The fates love watching people squirm in misery, I doubt it has anything to do with what you have or haven't done." He muttered it lightly.

She looked up at him, "Ya know, everytime I bring up the Fates, you sound so bright and happy." She pouted. Standing up straight, she grinned and walked into the kitchen pulling the ties out, fluffed her hair then pulled it back into a loose bun, the bangs staying in the front to frame the ruby eyes. "Mind stir-fry?" She questioned. She hummed a soft lullaby, something of a common one she used all the time, as she pulled out some onions, bell peppers, baby carrots, snow peas, garlic, a few seasonings. She pulled out a sharp knife and began to chop the larger veggies, mincing the garlic and placing them in a separate bowl to the side before she pulled out some boneless, skinless chicken breast and some peeled and deveined shrimp, dicing the chicken and putting them into another bowl to sit with some marinade. "Anything else you might want?" She raised her voice a little so he could hear her as she set up a pot of water to boil for the rice.

"Meh." His response to her comment about how he reacted to the mentioning of Fates. Kristoph shrugged lightly. He was silent for a while, just quietly nibbling on that cookie as she walked off into the kitchen to start dinner. He remained where he was for a few more minutes and then wandered into the kitchen behind her. He sat on one of the counter tops. Knowing better than to hover around her while she was busy...mostly just because he hated when people hovered around him when he was cooking and offering help when he didn't need it. Usually things like that ended in a mess. He shrugged again. "I'll eat anything..you know that."

Ruby eyes looked up at him. "I don't know. Those first few months were a little rough." She smiled benignly to know she meant nothing by it. Humming again, she expertly threw in the chicken first then the veggies and last the shrimp, thus having everything done all at once. Plating some some she set it next to the boy before helping herself, noting that she'd once again made more than enough and would have leftovers for the next day. Eating silently, she wondered if the rest of her staff would come in, or if she'd have to hire a new set. Shrugging it off, she found her favorite bar stool she kept in the kitchen for when she ate. Sitting she pulled out one of the few clothing magazines she subscribed to, flipping through it absently. 'I wonder if Kris would like any of these? Maybe a birthday present?' She would pause at a few that caught her eye, sometimes the ones with skirts, sometimes the pants. Even though Kris did work, and boy did the kid work hard, she still had the habit of taking care of him by doing shopping for him, mostly the clothes of course. They'd figured out that whatever tended to look good on her, was adorable or cute on him. "Your birthday is coming up soon, any plans yet?" She questioned aloud, her eyes not really leaving the book.

Kristoph shrugged lightly. "Yea...well alot of strange things happened in those first few months." He watched her cook, humming softly, some little tune he had heard once a very long time ago. When that plate was set next to him though, he picked it up and began eating. Kristoph didn't eat much, which is probably the reason for why he's so skinny. When he set his plate down and laid the fork ontop to signal he was done, there was still quite a bit of food. "You always cook too much.." He frowned slightly, that brow creased a bit as those purple eyes turned to her. Almost coldly. "We go through this every year...I don't have a birthday..so theres no reason to make plans..."

She frowned up at him, silently disapproving of his tone. "And I give you the same response every year; I don't care, you do have a birthday ane we should do something special." She replied firmly, finishing off her plate. Standing fluidly she collected his plate and began the process of washing them. "Eh, at least with extra we don't have to cook much tomorrow, or should we get more people I have food for them." She murmured as she dried and put away the dishes, moving then to put the foods away in two separate containers. When she finished she leaned her hip against the countertop he sat on, hands crossed under her slightly ample chest. "If you don't want an official birthday at least do it as the day you found me. It'll be something." She said, the hint of a plea held in the back of her tone. She smiled warmly and, walking past him to the front, she reached up to ruffle his hair. "I'll still do something whether you want me to or not."

Kristoph sighed softly. "You always do something on the day we first met." He shook his head lightly when she ruffled his hair, reaching up to run his hand through the purple locks. He watched her for a few minutes and crossed his arms across his chest. "Fine then. I want a kitten." He turned his nose up a bit and turned his head to the side. Taking on a very haughty expression. It was hard to tell if he were joking or being serious.

She smiled at him over her shoulder in triumph. "I knew you'd see it my way." Through the kitchen door, she glanced at one of the fishbowls and found a large, beautiful koi of fire red, black and white spots along it body. Reaching the bowl, her eyes glowed softly as she stared at the fish. She chuckled softly. "It seems the child princess wants some of your gingerbread cookies, as well the Queen would like some apple pie." She turned to him, the smile on her face looked forced. "Should we get started now or tomorrow? They won't mind waiting overnight." She cleaned up the tray of cookies she had out earlier, seemingly having ignored his request for a kitten, but as she gracefully moved around doing minute bits of cleaning, she gave a mysterious smile. "So do you have an idea of what kind of kitten you'd like? Or about how you are going to take care of it down here?" She mused, her forefinger tapping the air into a random beat as she hummed a random Human song she heard.

"The kind of kitten that breaks everything and gets kitten hair in all the food." He grinned at her, shaking his head a little. "I wasn't serious...I wouldn't know what to do with a kitten..feed it to the fish I suppose...or...is that supposed to be the other way around?" He blinked a bit and shook his head again. "I don't want anything, I have everything I need here. There's really no point in cluttering up closets and corners with useless things." He had sighed softly and wrinkled that nose lightly in disdain. "I hate making gingerbread cookies."

He slipped off the counter and began pulling out the things he would need for those cookies. Just because he didn't like them, did not mean he couldn't make the most delicious gingerbread cookies in existance..at least..he felt that everything he cooked was the most delicious. "Might as well do it now..I mean..we don't have anything better to do.." He set the things on the counter muttering softly to himself about how ginger smelled and tasted horrible.

She chuckled at him softly, trading the small apron for a larger one that covered the chest and the lap, this one black with a red rimmed hole in one corner and a white rabbit dragging some carrots toward the hole. "Yeah, I know you weren't. You've done it before, ask for a random human pet, then decide you don't want it. I'm beginning to think you like all the boring fish we keep here." She groaned softly at that thought. "Please tell me you don't actually love having the fish as a pet?" It was a joking plea. She moved around to one of the other counters, setting up utensils for the apple pie and what looked like it could be fruit cake. The pie wasn't as odd to see her making, she loved the pie and prided herself for it. On the other hand, she loathed fruit cake, made no qualms about making her displeasure about it known and tended to burn each fruit cake she got the first chance she got. "Stupid prick." She muttered as she set the dried fruits to soak even as she sliced up the granny smith apples. "You still good on clothes? I don't have to run the laundry right?" She asked in after thought as she set about making up the crust, of course getting herself splattered with the flour over her face and not making it any better when she rubbed her nose and turned it white. "I know you hate having to clean, probably as much as I do, unless it comes to the kitchen...But then you also get pretty picky over clean clothes too." She smirked softly at the last part, obviously remembering something very funny.

jessica walked into the Rabbit Hole she was always so formal even if no one was here "hmm do i still get paid for days with no people i wonder." She giggled and found a seat since they were all open "hey where are you all or am i all alone ohhh ghosty town." Getting up she went into the kitchen and looked at the two of them "hello boss hello foxxy." Lokking at what Aria was making she licked her cherry red lips "that looks good hope you have enough for me and hey whats the deal with the no people am i singing or what?"

Kristoph was silent for a long time. The look on his face was one of deep concentration. He wasn't ignoring Aria, he heard every word she said, but he wasn't responding to her either. He got that way, alot when he was cooking. Or just mixing ingrediants. He was mixing right now. Adding things with an almost scary precision. He didn't even use measuring cups or spoons, he eyeballed it all. Kris was probably too good at what he did. That face was still pinched with a slight look of disdain, especially when he added the ginger to what would soon be cookies.

When all the mixing was done, he blinked softly and looked to Aria. "I like the fish. They aren't messy and I don't have to clean up after them...a squid or two would probably be nice..and..maybe a jellyfish, we could throw it at unruly guests." Kris stared at her for a long moment as he shaped the dough into cookie form. "Fruitcake?" He smiled slightly. "You can't make fruitcake.." He looked up when Jessica walked in, shrugging lightly. "Keep your hands off the cookies..they aren't for us." He popped the tray of cookies in the oven. His eyes on Aria again. "Clothes are fine...and I hate cleaning the kitchen..I only do that because it's necessary...can't cook with dirty dishes." He heaved a dramatic sigh and washed his hands in the sink.

She made a soft, disappointed groan. "You and those fish. I'm glad you take care of them, I'd let them starve..." She turned to him with her hands on her hips, and quite a few flour stains on her face, smiling. "I know I can't make fruitcake, but the prince wants it. Maybe he'll leave me alone if he gags on it." She grumbled the last part as she turned to put the pie crust in the oven as she set the apple slices in a separate bowl with some sugar and cinnamon, and a hint of lemon juice to keep the apples fresh, as she started to make a simple syrup on the stove.
She glanced over at Jessica with a small smile. "Hey, sorry about the no people thing, but it seems to be a lull in business since everyone is migrating home. You do still get paid, but hopefully you can hang out incase someone shows up." She replied even as she started in on the batter for the fruit cake, sneering in disdain at it. "I guess it is ironic that I'm the mermaid and can't take of regular fish properly!" She chuckled at that bit. "Anyway, Jess, I'm allowing you to get one cookie. And Kris, I'm gonna need you to come with me one day for clothes shopping. I'm no good at getting the girly stuff you wear." She scrunched her nose, but the smiling showed she was only joking slightly. "Ya know, I'm half debating on getting a rabbit. It would fit the theme here." She mixed the soaked the fruit in with the batter and set it in the oven as she pulled out the pie crust, layering the apple slices and covering them in the syrup.

Vanya entered slowly, her favorite fishnet hoodie vest with long sleeves on over a belly baring top and a long skirt with chains around the waist that matched the gloves visible beneath the fishnet sleeves of her dress. Blue tights were occasionally visible under the slit of the skirt, the chains on her waist and the cross charms hanging from it clanging gently against one another.

She glanced over the place, her hands in the hidden pockets of her skirt. She stayed silent a moment, tilting her head to the side as she watched the others in thought. She could see it was fairly empty today… Shrugging she’d head over to the counter, giving a smile to the girly boy absently as she began to look through the display case. She would order something with nuts in it most likely, the flavor of nuts reminding her of her mothers cooking…

Jessica smiled and went back out of the kitchen not looking at the cookies she loved their cooking but she knew her little foxxy would get all upset if she touched more then one plus she was watching her weight. When she opened the door she was shocked to see someone "oh a ghost has arived to this our little ghost town." Giggling she opened the door again "guys someone is here mabye you might want to say hello and be nice hosts." She giggled looked at the person "they should be here soon their all messy with flour." She looked at the girl up and down "you know thats a very lovely outfit you have oh im being very rude hello im Jessica." She wasnt the type to talk to people she was the type to be on stage singing to them but with no one else here she thought it rude to just walk away from this person.

The ‘ghost’ in question looked up as she heard a voice, her black lips twitching into a faint smile. Tilting her head to the side so her uneven curls fell next to her face she’d watch her a moment, raising her hand in greeting to the other woman. As she complimented her she’d smile a little warmer, playfully curtsying “Why thank you… miss.. Jessica was it?” She’d respond, tilting her head to the side and looking from under her lashes at the other almost in a flirting fashion. She’d pause a moment and just look before adding quietly “ My name is Vanya, do you work her then? “

"I'm not going clothes shopping..I hate shopping and I don't need any new clothes." Kris had frowned a bit at that. Kris never wore an apron and he almost never made any big messes. Usually. Today was no different, there was barely any evidence he had made cookies except for the bowls he'd used to hold and mix ingredients in. "A rabbit?" He seemed thoughtful a finger on his chin as he walked out of the kitchen, calling over his shoulder. "I could make a good stew with a plump rabbit." It was rather hard to tell if he were joking or not.

He much preferred to stay in the kitchen and mostly out of sight. But Aria was busy ruining a fruitcake so he didn't want to distract her from that art. "Welcome to the Rabbit Hole.." He had glanced at Jessica for a moment, before that purple gaze of his settled on the woman. He seemed just slightly nervous..and he usually was around new people, but only slightly.

Aria laughed. "Well I do, so might as well kill two birds with one stone. You know I suck at picking the girly stuff." She managed to get the fruit cake in a separate oven before washing her hands off. Walking out of the kitchen with a small tray of her especially made chocolate chip cookies she smiled warmly at the customer. "Hi, welcome to the Rabbit Hole. I'm Aria the owner." She set the tray on the counter next to her. "You're welcome to some cookies." She offered. She growled playfully at Kris. "You are not eating my rabbit." She poked a slim, slightly batter caked finger at his chest. Turning, she pulled the long apron off, and grabbed a damp towel to clean the flour off her face. "The regular humans or other land beings might be appreciative of a land animal here. But if you are so intent on doing other foods, we can start introducing soups, salads and sandwiches. But then we won't be a cafe anymore." She said as she let her silvery hair down from the messy bun, pulling it back instead into a braid that reached below her butt.

"oh yes i work here i am the singer or the entertanment here well when their are many people here." Jessica was shocked and it showed when they talked about cooking a bunny "you will not cook a bunny i would rather put you in a pot then a little bunny how dare you say such a thing." She steped on his foot and walked away she was mad now and well it didnt take much for her to get that way "cooking bunnies whats next roasting puppies." She walked into the back room where she had her dressing room which she asked for since she always wanted to be able to change from song to song. She looked at her clothes that she brought here from her home and well she sighed she wanted to sing but nobody was here to sing to.

Yuri walked into the rabbit hole and noticed that she was kind of late. She walked in there wearing her favorite blue dress and had her hair in pigtails. After going into the cafe she noticed that some people were there. Yuri walked to the counter and leaned on it. She looked up to see if Aria was there, "Aria are you here? Sorry I was late, had a problem with some things." Yuri said as she straightened her dress and fixed her hair a little bit. She looked around a little bit and noticed that other people were here so she waved at them before she went to get her waiteress things together. After that she leaned back on the counter to wait for a while.
