*Fancypants* For the culturally inclined and aspiring ~ In today's episode: Biggles reveals her potentially unsettling breadth of knowledge on talking mummies in literature
My mom is actually more perceptive than she leads on, I think. Its a technique she learned from her friend Marty. Like... most of the stuff that I was keeping a secret from her is like no big deal when I finally come out and say it.
Though, sometimes she gets all offended at things for some reason... and then when I don't see her for awhile she's all for it. Like when I told her that I wanted a tattoo and she lectured me at length about how getting a tattoo would impede my ability to get a job... and then I didn't see her for about three months and she was talking about getting a tramp stamp. xD
I told her that if she wants to get a tattoo, that's fine... but get something with a little more class.
Oh, Biggles, you've not yet learned the rules of the internet. The moment you express a dislike for anything, the universe magically summons someone that has/is/does/says/otherwise is associated with that thing. No offense to Roxxxy, of course.
Its really kind of a motif that comes into my artwork a lot. The sun imagery pops up in my designs without me realizing it, and it eventually became the basis of a character in my comic book (in that version its an eye.)
I have a friend who has "Vini Vidi Vicci" as a bracelet tat.... or rather it was GOING to be a bracelet if the the artist didn't chicken out and move it like an inch or so away from the hand. >>
