Ah, no commercial breaks, that's what it is. I wasn't really sure, having never seen BBC proper, but I figured that they would at least have very short ones given that they get funds through the television licenses and all that. It's a cool set up.
Yeah, Adult Swim has really long commercial breaks. I wish they would have alotted 45 minutes for Boosh as well. They only gave it half an hour, which means they cut it down a lot. In Old Gregg they cut out, like, half of "Love Games" and completely removed the bit about the water colors! How could you cut out the water colors?!
I like Fox because it gives me House. And Family Guy. And apparently also Arrested Development, which I didn't know, since I've only rented it, I didn't watch it when it was on.

Not only [AS] cut British shows down, it also rearranges them a bit in the process. It's very disorienting if you've seen the uncut version and the Adult Swim adaptation.

It is. I've thought that things seemed out of order before, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Nice to know I wasn't going mad. I just need to get Boosh on DVD. AS stopped airing it anyway, and... well, I don't have satellite anymore, so it wouldn't matter if they did!

I think they still have full unedited episodes up on The Fix, though, don't they? It's been a while since I used it. I haven't given it a good look since I got all three series on Dvd. I think they still have at least one full episode of Darkplace up...

Google isn't telling me what that is, so I can't answer your question, I'm afraid.
Your signature's hypnotizing me, though. Gifs have that effect on me...

It's the Adult Swim video... widget... thing... It's on their website, and you can watch clips and episodes on it.
I'm not much for gifs in general, but there are some exceptions I make. Like this :D

Ohhh, gotcha. I'll have to look later. If they have an episode of Darkplace I'll die of happiness. That's the only thing that makes me laugh more than Boosh. Unfortunately I've only seen 3 or 4 episodes, though... Not that there's much more than that. :(

Nope, there's only six.
But you can looking into Man to Man with Dean Learner. It's a spin off. Though I must say, I find the audience irritating.

On a semi-related note, there's nothing inherently fancy about British television, so I'm not sure why we're talking about it here, but I did feel compelled to come in here and tell everyone I'm watching another British show... Not... sure... why...

Some British television is fancy :o
BBC - BBC Two Programmes - The Culture Show
And then there's BBC 4 in it's entirety.
For a second there, I thought you were one of my yahoo friends, seeing as my status is about British tv at the moment.

Well, yes, some British programming is, but British programming isn't inherently fancy. Especially considering this is what I'm watching...

The BBC is VERY fancy. I think so, anyway.
But my opinion doesn't really matter, as probably the most uncultured person in this conversation. xD

The BBC used the word burgalarized which isn't in the Oxford English dictionary. That was a shameful day for them.

I think the actual word is "burgled."
But I'm hardly one to talk. Half the words that come out of my mouth are gibberish.

Meh, new words, and new uses for words, are made up all the time.
"burglarized" is not the worst word they could have used.
The OED has plenty of lame words anyway x]

Oh, I've thought of a worse verbal slip-up, it was quite recent.
A BBC radio presenter was trying to say "the culture secretary Jeremy Hunt".
Instead, he came out with "Jeremy Cunt."
I laughed so hard when I heard the recording.

Hooray! =D
-saves the Antoinette head for later... in case a quest should come up where it is needed-
I had a professor once invent the word "propagandization" and use it repeatedly in his lecture. He also spelled it out for us letter by letter, because he would do that. "And the word for this is quattrecento: q-u-a-t-t-r-e-c-e-n-t-o" (all in the span of two seconds) and then "And this is a depiction of the god Io: I... O..." also in the span of two seconds.

Haha, I remember when that made the news.
I also recently saw a clip from the British Antiques Roadshow, where one of the venerable presenters was talking about some china with the Victorian royal insignia of V.R. on it, leading to the slip up of "Victoria Vagina"

I'm sure they do it on purpose just to see if they can get away with it.

Loool.
I remember last year a lecturer made a massive Freudian slip, I can't remember what it was though... something about girls or women or nakedness....
----------
@ HIM - I highly doubt he *intended* to say cunt on the BBC after Sachsgate.
