Will and Kate have only done one show where they've actually spoken for themselves the rest of it is other people talking about it and most of them aren't even royal corrispondaces.

HIM still finds it highly amusing the Prince Will was supprised that a snake was squishy.

The wild speculation is a bit on the overkill side. People do tend to get that way about weddings, especially of prominant figures, though. Personally, that aspect doesn't really interest me. I'm not big on weddings in general. But elaborate tradition? Yes please!

We made it over one thousand posts! So proud

It's supprising just how much the royals have influenced how "traditional" modern weddings are.

They've long been the taste makers. It's only recently that that torched has passed to more, shall we say, grassroot figures.

I probably won't watch the wedding as it's actually going since it would be 4 in the morning, but I'll probably catch it on TV at a later date.

Maybe there's something less painful on at your nearest cinema?

I guess it could be worse. It could be... too tired to think of something worse honestly. A 3D movie of things attacking you the entire time? And you can feel them crawling on you? *is ridiculous and sleepy*

Of course, HIM may have turned out enjoying it. I wasn't expecting it, but it ended up on par with Charles and Diana's, as far as mystique. I was also surprised to be as bowled over as I was with Kate. She looked quite sublime. A triumph of British spirit and tradition all around.

It was a nice simplistic wedding.

And Americans are still complaining it's not our fault America splatters itself over such events like a lemming when it hits the ground after throwing itself off a cliff.

The American media is pretty gauche that way
I am very much glad I got to watch it, even if some of the viewing had to be done through opera glasses, as I didn't have access to my glasses.

Because HIM is HIM and totally prejudice because it's family. HIM says HIM's cousin's wedding was better.

I can only take credit for the filigree enhancements on that, Cherry. The meat of it came from alternative commemorative plate collection, which I posted a while ago (but never far from my mind, I suppose.) You do have to admit the filigree is pretty badass, though.

Ah, I wish I had the means to screen capture television. Cardinal in formal fuchsia vestments with matching biretta and badass sunglasses = pertinent to my interests.

You can try a digital camera on it. Doesn't get fantastic results, but it kinda works.

Well, this is a musing on something that happened this morning. Still disappointed about it, though.
So! What should the thread title be now? Feeling democratic/uninspired.

Hm, to consider this...
