Why yes, yes it is.
In fact, I'm not feeling quite fancy enough.
-adds a monocle-
-actually, adds TWO monocles and a tophat to make it official.-

Mmm... Victoriana...
My girlfriend got a series of books for Christmas that were all about making steampunk jewelry. There's some FANTASTIC stuff in there... and I may end up stealing one of them for sculpy-clay project ideas.

Oh, that does sound very neat indeed. I like steampunk jewelry, it adds a nice little flourish without going for the full on aesthetic. I'm not as artistic as I would like, but I think I could manage a bit of jewelry making...

I have a bunch of pendants that would probably sell better if they were complete necklaces and adding that little bit of fanciness would make them really pop. xD
This shall require a bunch of feathers.
He's so happy, eating the earth... you just don't want to take it away from him...

Squeaky toy?
I spent New Year's at a uni friend's house. She has two golden retrievers. Dogs smell real bad. :'D

Well, Cthulhu smells like dead fish and otherworldliness, so I suppose two golden retrievers would be an improvement.

Honestly, I haven't read any of the mythos because I can't find it anywhere. All I know about Cthulhu is pop culture and research I've been doing for a RP I'm in. xD
I just imagine that a giant tentacled humanoid god that eats worlds would smell horrid.

The Cthulhu Mythos was written by HP Lovecraft in the 1920's as a work of fiction. However, it was sold under the category of "religious."
A cult formed.
A counterculture therefore formed.
And then a pop culture formed.
And now he's an ADORABLE destroyer of worlds.

It's just a bit of Lovecraft delving. It's not that fancy, really. My credo is everyone is fancy enough to be in here, please don't feel intimidated.
I've only read the aforementioned Call of Cthulhu, myself. You can read it in it's entirety here: The Call of Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft - Free eBook

Belated, but mm, victoriana. I recently bought this old photograph off Etsy. I generally don't like facial hair, but victorian mustaches fill me with glee. And I love the subtle tinting on his lips and cheeks.
Then I made this headband which is heavily inspired by the Victorian period. Lace, brown, feathers, pearly stuff.
EDIT: Ha, you can see some of my dresser in that shot... where my love for victoriana becomes even more apparent. Yes, that's a penny-farthing, yes that's a bulldog in a deerstalker, and you can bet that picture frame contains something quite victorian. My username's there because I was entering the headband in Belly's contest.
And then today I finally found out who made this print that I found in a thrift store. I love it to death.

Yes, it's the same for me. Mustaches are very hip now, but it's the Victorian kind that I gravitate towards almost exclusively.
That's very nicely done, Cherry. You've got some good design sense.

.... interesting.
I'll leave it until I'm done with course reading.
Since this is Fancypants, I'll share some of my reading list.
There's Early 20th Century American lit, which would be Faulkner, Hemingway, Fitzgerald, etc.
My Contemporary American Fiction reading list is:
Philip Roth, The Human Stain
Siri Hustvedt, What I Loved
Cormac McCarthy, No Country for Old Men
Thomas Pynchon, Inherent Vice
Toni Morrison, Love
Don Delillo, Point Omega
Robert Coover, Noir
Bonnie Jo Campbell, American Salvage
Deborah Eisenberg, Twilight of the Superheroes
Then I have 18th century lit, which includes the Brontes, Dickens... an interesting bunch.

But of course. There shall be donuts in my regime.
I like mustaches in that they are things of wonder, rather than an accessory. It takes a lot of time and effort to have a proper mustache. Otherwise its just hair on your face.

I have problems thinking straight and concentrating (due to issues I'm not going to bore you with at the moment) so I can't really do 18th century literature right now. :gonk: It's good, but more long-winded and slow than I can presently do. I'm currently reading The Bell Jar which is mid-20th century. No fancypants fun there. I have read Pride and Prejudice and over half of Great Expectations... it was good, but then it got slow and I got pbbftbltdup
Biggles - Yeah, anything that isn't super fancy like those just tends to look nasty and lends towards an unbathed appearance. The most facial hair I can stomach is just some general stubble, which does look good on some guys. But I've told my boyfriend I'll dump him if he ever grows a beard or mustache. (kidding about that, of course!)
Also, I typed "bear" instead of "beard"... Hmm, I think if my boyfriend could grow bears I'd be marginally terrified.

Oh, 18th(?) century lit. I like, I like.
I want to get a few of these volumes:

I forget who makes them, but there is a slew of classics with that exquisite cloth binding.
